^^^When in doubt, consult Wiki.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hussainiya
A Hussainia, also known as an Ashurkhana or Imambargah, and "Imambara" is a congregation hall for Shia commemoration ceremonies, especially those associated with the Remembrance of Muharram. The name comes from Husayn Ibn Ali, the grandson of Muhammad and the third Imam of the Shia Muslims. Imam Hussain was killed by the Umayyad Sunni caliph Yazid I at the Battle of Karbala in Iraq, on October 10, 680 AD. Shias commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussain every year on the day of Ashura in Hussainias all over the world.

A Hussainiya is different from a mosque in that it is intended mainly for gatherings for Muharram in the mourning of Hussain ibn Ali, and may not necessarily hold juma'at, or Friday Prayer.

In South Asia, a Hussainia can also be referred to as an imambara, imambargah, or ashurkhana. In Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates, it is called a ma'tam (مأتم). In Afghanistan and Central Asia, the equivalent term for a Shia congregation hall is takyakhana. Examples of Hussainias include the Bara Imambara and Imambara Ghufran Ma'ab, both in Lucknow, India, as well as the Imambara Wazeer Un Nisa in Amroha, India and the Hosseiniye Ershad in Tehran, Iran.

Indian Air Force faces risk as Baccha Pakistan,Abbu China modernise: report
Paki worry about India's welfare
BENGALURU: As China and Pakistan modernise air force at a rapid pace, Indian Air Force (IAF) faces risk without new western warplanes or the lack of local defence contractors ability to keep up with military needs in a timely manner, said a report published on IBN Live.According to experts, due to its reliance on a fleet of ageing Russian-made MiG and French Mirage fighters, India was vulnerable in the skies. Furthermore, half of India's fighters are due to retire in the start of 2015 until 2024.The Tejas light combat aircraft, which is India's first homegrown fighter, will be finally delivered in March, 30 years after it was conceived. However, senior air force officers privately said they were unimpressed. A former fighter pilot said that the plane was "so late it is obsolete"."It could lead to humiliation at the hands of our neighbours," AK Sachdev, a retired air force officer, wrote in the Indian Defence Review journal in 2014.He further added that an attack by China or Pakistan could stretch the Indian military. Defence strategists in New Delhi were asked to plan for this scenario, however experts said it is unlikely to take place. When it comes to India's ties with China, the relations are still crippled due to a dispute over their Himalayan border which led to war in 1962.New Delhi is also wary of China's close relations with Pakistan and its increasing naval presence in the Indian Ocean. On the other hand, China is flying locally built fourth-generation J-10 fighters and testing two fifth-generation stealth fighter jets.Meanwhile, Pakistan is upgrading its Lockheed Martin (LMT.N) F-16 fighter planes and also using JF-17 warplanes that were developed with China.According to Pakistani and Chinese industry sources, Pakistan is also in talks to buy J-10s.If it comes to war, India would still be victorious over Pakistan due to the sheer size of its air force. However, the slow modernisation means the win would come with heavy casualties, according to Richard Aboulafia, Washington DC-based vice president of analysis at the Teal Group, a defence think tank.India is buying more Su-30s and upgrading other existing fighters to keep up.The Rafale fighters are expected to replace some of India's existing Mirage jets and MiGs. However, defence military officials have said that India insists that Dassault takes full responsibility for production of the air-craft at a state-run facility in Bengaluru.
Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar had said at the airshow that India will make a decision on the fate of this deal after March, when a committee of the defence ministry will deliver a report on the issue.
t's a really tricky situation in which the supplier is unhappy, the bureaucrats are unhappy and the end user is disappointed," said Mohanty.Over the last few years, India successfully introduced Boeing's (BA.N) C-17 and P-8 Poseidon anti-submarine aircraft along with Lockheed Martin's C-130J. Experts said thiss hows off-the-shelf solutions work best.On the other hand, under Modi's "Make in India" programme, building a domestic defence industrial base is emphasised to reduce dependence on foreign supplies which led to India becoming the world's biggest arms importer.

Fact is, in the past pakis launched surprised attacks on airfields in India. It won't be exactly the same now though modernization can be slow in any country that pakis with off-the self 'solutions' (off its begging bowl) will not be able to understand.

Pak. denies visa to PDP leader, says Hurriyat represents J&K - Suhasini Haidar, The Hindu
Hardening its position, Pakistan has denied visa to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) spokesperson Naeem Akhtar to attend a Track-II conference in Islamabad next week, saying the “Hurriyat is the true representative of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.”

Pakistan High Commission sources here told The Hindu that the decision was taken to “reiterate” this stand.

“Our stand on Jammu and Kashmir is very clear. We believe that the Hurriyat is the true representative of the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, and we believe that issuing a visa to Mr. Naeem Akhtar would not reflect that position,” an official said.

While visas had been denied to many Indians planning to attend such conferences in the past, the statement linking the decision to the stand on the Hurriyat is significant as it is indicative of the hardened stand after India cancelled Foreign Secretary-level talks last year over High Commissioner Abdul Basit’s discussions with Hurriyat leaders.

What makes the decision more surprising is that the visa denial comes even when Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to send Foreign Secretary S. Jaishankar to Pakistan in March, and the Bharatiya Janata Party is in talks with the PDP to form an alliance government in J&K. Even the Hurriyat Conference did not seem to approve of the Pakistani move. “We believe there should be more, not less engagement between the people on both sides of the ceasefire line,” its chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, said on the phone.

Mr. Akhtar told The Hindu that he had not yet heard officially about the visa denial and was surprised by the decision.

Why are there still "Track II" conferences? Anyway whomever of the Indian side does not boycott this meeting after this no visa deal needs to be tried for treason.

The idea being promoted is that Islam is in a fragile state and under attack, both externally from the West, and internally through growing secular voices. Thus, reverting to the authentic Hanafi position, which resonates with the 'secular' demand for clemency and lenience in blasphemy, is tantamount to collusion with this 'repugnant' force.

Anjem Choudary a Pakistani descent now decides to fight Jahil by converting Hindus to Islam and send them to fight in the Levant. Makes the blood boil.
One of Choudary’s prize students, a convert from Hinduism named Abu Rumaysah, evaded police to bring his family of five from London to Syria in November. On the day I met Choudary, Abu Rumaysah tweeted out a picture of himself with a Kalashnikov in one arm and his newborn son in the other. Hashtag: #GenerationKhilafah.
But the article is an indepth analysis of the ISIS, will post it in full in relevant thread.

Pakistani boat controversy was a drama: FO
From Yawn
ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office (FO) spokeswoman Tasneem Aslam said Friday that Pakistan had had made it clear that none if its boats went missing as claimed by Indian officials.

"It has been proven from the contradictory statements issued by top Indian officials that the boat issue was a drama that has now been exposed," said Aslam.

Earlier on Wednesday, India's Deputy Inspector General of the Coast Guard denied reports which said that he had admitted ordering for a Pakistani boat to be blown up in the Arabian Sea on New Year's eve.

The claim was in sharp contrast to New Delhi's official position which had been adamant that the boat had 'suspected terror links' and that the crew had committed suicide by setting the vessel on fire.

Coast Guard DIG B.K. Loshali later issued a rejoinder which rejected the media report terming it as 'not factual' and denied making any such claim.

So the terror boat was not from pakistan but from heaven?
link
Note the details - 'captain' Baloch's mother - and others clearly identifying location/captain of the terror boat from heaven.
Investigators in Karachi have identified ..
..
25-foot vessel, named Qalandar, was captained by Yaqboob Baloch, a resident of the gang war-torn Lyari town in Karachi. They said that Pakistani counter-narcotics investigators believe the boat often carried contraband for the Balochistan-based drug cartel of Mir Yakub Bizenjo, a fugitive named by the US in 2009 as a leading player in the trans-border trade of narcotics.
..
When contacted, captain Baloch’s mother, Ayesha Bibi, told The Indian Express that she had heard “rumours” of the destruction of her son’s boat after it was intercepted by the Indian Coast Guard. She added, however, that she had received no information that her son had been killed.
..
“My son had nothing to do with terrorists,” she said, adding that her family belonged to the Zikri, or Mahdavi, sect that has been targeted by jihadists for their belief that the 15th century religious activist Muhammad Jaunpuri was the Imam Mehdi, the prophesied redeemer.
..
Authorities in Karachi have only been able to partially identify the three other crew members on the boat, currently tagged by their first names or aliases ? Yaseen, Ibrahim and “Dhobi”.
..
The boat, police sources said, had set out from the Balochistan coast near the port of Gwadar, likely carrying a cargo of dates, as well as cases of bootleg alcohol, allegedly brought in from the Gulf ? and a consignment of heroin.
..
Ibrahim Baloch, a Karachi-based fishing industry agent, said, “
..
Pakistani security sources, meanwhile, seemed sympathetic to the Indian operation. “I don’t blame the Indians with their Mumbai 26/11 experience…
Now that Pakistani Foreign Office has washed off its hands, it can be concluded that Balochistan is no longer a part of Sunni Terrorist Fragments of Unstables Pakistan.

Bakis have officially washed their hands off because if they own up to the boat now to corner India and Indian springs good solid proof they will be left in a very untenable position. In the meanwhile the rundi-rudhalli will be continued by the Bak taking heads and the Indian kothawali media.

It looks like the Indian gov does have some concrete intelligence just going by the Bakis reluctance to hit this slow full-toss.

On the terror boat crap, Praveen Swami & Co are having field day impressing whoever it is they want to impress by poking holes, mocking India's claims that this was not Paki terrorist boat. Almost as if they are some Davids taking on a mighty Goliath. And I wonder if they know that it is India that has been the David, receiving end of TSP and its 3.5, or if they even care.

Now coming to the boat, have any of the gurus seen the latest video put by TimesNow. As much as DorkNob is a hyperventilating moron, on this issue he is taking the exact opposite of DDM. TimesNow video shows the boat fully on fire with a black plume of smoke. And they say that is evidence that the boat was set on fire. I am not expert on this, but while I do buy the Govt's theory knowing TSPA/ISI perfidy, but I am not sure that fire with black plume alone is convincing evidence that boat was set on fire and not shot.

Of course, for me, this should not even have come to this level of discussion. Circumstantial evidence is enough that TSP was up to some hanky panky and whether the boat went down in flames because the soosai bombers blew themselves up, or the Indian coast guard annihilated it, doesn't matter to me. A few dead TSP terrorists is good for India.

Of course, for the vile cretins like Praveen Swami, Karan Thappad, and Cong traitors etc, they keep drum beating this crap day in and day out as a stick to beat ModiJi with. Shameless b@stards.

Well as yoc can see from that scum bag Praveen Swami's interview to Paki, almost grovelling before them, what ails India. India is its worst enemy. Now of course Praveen Sawmi will be given some John McArther Award some other hooker award from US/UK, he will become some folk hero among DDM and India's Eng language elite. Ackkkk Thooo.

But I do lay some blame on BJP govt. That navy idiot's ragging is there for all to see. Indian govt has to come up with something really big to now turn the tide of opinion. And not sure they can do that without compromising their intelligence sources. So they are stuck between a rock and the hard place. Meanwhile DDM and other traitors will tighten the noose around ModiJi.

The best it could have done is to have kept quite when the DDM's had moved on. Why did it release the video and give the media another day to rag about? Is the GOI trying to keep the issue in focus instead of letting it pass?

The damage is now done. Even if that bragging clown retracts his statement, the Praveen Swami and Thappad b@satrds will say he was coerced to do so by big baaad Modi. India needs a US style media, especially a Fox like news channel to restore some balance. Otherwise, its entire Eng language DDM against Modi. They are determined to derail him. Unless ModiJi can come out with a googly to neutralize Pravees Swami, this could be another abtaross around Modi's neck. Nothing else will matter.

The sticking point is that DDM, Thappad et. al, want to undercut Modi's proactive defensive policy against TSP. They are determined to show that he is just being maacho and p!ss talks are the only way out. And they want to go the extra mile to show that his criticism of MMS's surrender to TSP was just hot air, and ModiJi is no different, in fact worse, by faking muscular approach by blowing up a "harmless" TSP boat and claiming he stooped a 26/11 like attack. As I said, in any self respecting nationalist country, that India thwarted even a minuscule Paki terror threat would cause to praise the govt. Not so in India's case, its all about bringing down a nationalist govt and humiliating them.

There is no strategy in this. Its very poor handling by Indian govt, an in general what ails India. People speaking out of turn.

I want to contrast this with US shooting down in cold blood an Iranian airliner over straits of Hormuz. To this day, US expresses no regret for that brazen murder of civilians. The demonization of Iran continues apace. And US's nationalist media only mentions US mistake as side note when they recall the incident.

I urge you guys to watch that Praveen Swami interview with the Pakis. Can you imagine a US reporter or UK reporter or French reporter talk in such a grovelling tone to an enemy country's media and bashing his own govt? And what would be his/her fate were they to do so. We just saw recently, Jim Clancey of CNN was fired (oh yeah resigned) for daring to make a benignly harsh comment on Israel.

The boat and its occupants were dispatched to Jahannum and at the end that's all that matters. So what effing damage are you talking of?

Fox news like ? seriously? You are aware that the man who owns Fox news has a major stake in the DDM? And how does one restore the balance by constantly abusing the country's chief executive by calling him a closet muslim and all?

When the Gujarat riots could not stymie Modi's rise and failed to be an albatross around his neck despite all the huffing and puffing of the DDM and their backers in the government, you seriously believe that the DDM is an albatross around his neck?

CRamS ji, take a chill pill and stop taking these media vomits more seriously than the DDM themselves.

You can add Salil Tripathi to the league of jobless, "Aman ki Asha" type journalists who, having failed to win credibility and respect in India - are earning their bread by sucking up to the Pakis. Life must be tough - when you have to scrape the bottom of the barrel  Parvin Soami is of course, a card-carrying founder-member of this breed.

The behavior of Swami and his friends under Modi's rule was predicted on BRF even before Modi came to power. Their target is Modi. They will go to a great extent to get Modi. Swami should be ashamed for appearing on a show hosted by Moeed Pirzada who is an English speaking crazy mullah in a suit possibly on ISPR payroll. So this Swami who wants to uncover the truth appears on a show (any Paki talk show for that matter) where crazy conspiracy theories are passed off as facts? :rotfl:

Next is what? An appearance with laal topi harami to discuss about Indian govt's 'lies' on terror boat?

Statement by MoD on terror boat: raise 100 questions.
Report by a Paki journalist on terror boat: hey look, GoI is lying. No questions asked.

BS has many contexts. Depending on your language abilities you can decipher. Each one will be correct but the most interesting will be for the Punjabis. The language is so rich in expletives. Each describes the current government adequately.

‘Pakistanis are the most converted people in the world’
Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) Director IA Rehman said Pakistanis had forgotten that they were the most converted people in the world. “We have been Hindu, Jain, Buddhist, Muslim, Sikh and Christians over the course of our history,” he said. Rehman enumerated the challenges confronting the minorities. “Our claims of tolerance are hollow,” he observed.
Anthropologist Zulfiqar Ali Kalhoro spoke about academic works on temples in Pakistan. He said that Sindh was the land of asceticism and mysticism. Kalhoro said syncretism was the cornerstone of Sindhi culture. “Many temples (in Sindh) are associated with both Hinduism and Ismaili Muslim faith,” Kalhoro said. He said most temples in Pakistan were in a state of disrepair. Kalhoro said the condition of those in Sindh was better.
Academic Ali Qasmi, who moderated the session, said most temples in the Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) had become dysfunctional.
He said this was particularly true of the Punjab. Qasmi said the fact that the province had been completely cleansed of its Hindu population in the aftermath of the partition of India could be one reason for this. He said many temples had been demolished across the nation in the wake of the demolition of the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya in 1992.

Brings tears to one's eyes, all this genuine paki concern about India, and "secular liberal" jokers in India who nod sagely when pakis say such things.

pakis having khujli against Roger Federer for tweeting with Indian teams jersey
What to Make of Roger Federer's Weird Controversy with India and Pakistan
Federer posted the picture with the team jersey to his Facebook page. Then he tweeted it with the hashtag #bleedblue, a reference to India's team colors.

Fans of the Pakistani cricket team, which India defeated Sunday, took offense.
One longtime Federer fan felt so strongly about the incident that he wrote a lengthy editorial, "Dear Federer, why would you choose to bleed blue?" in the Express Tribune, an Indian newspaper published in conjunction with the International Herald Tribune
Sialkot statistics out
I did an informal poll of the dozen biggest Pakistani Roger fans I know. All very serious fans, mind you. Two of them were not bothered by the picture. But 10 of the 12 felt seriously hurt or betrayed. Six of those 10 said you had acted “like a sell-out” and have stopped supporting you altogether
Federer has long expressed his admiration for Indian culture. It was never questioned until he took sides in one of the most heated sports rivalries on the planet: India vs. Pakistan in cricket. And he chose to do it on the eve of the big cricket World Cup game between the countries.
