We can't intercept (may be we can jam) but they can potentially listen in on everything passing through their tech and weaponize by switching off service if we don't dance to their tune. That's the heart of the problem IMO.
if it was easy to jam, the Russians would have done it all over ukraine !!.. and they are the experts in ECCM

Yes, as of now. Starlink suffered lots of cyber attacks by Russia, NoKo etc, but we don't know how well it resisted. It's still operational in Ukraine so one can deduce it resisted quite well.
The Indian government has asked a local court to deliver a summons issued by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to billionaire Gautam Adani over alleged securities fraud and a $265 million bribery scheme, according to a letter seen by Reuters.
The summons, which was issued under Hague Service Convention that does not allow the serving of legal documents directly to defendants in India, would require Adani or his legal counsel to appear in the case in the United States, Indian lawyers said.
...
"The summons seems to be for appearance in a court in New York. If service is effected through the Indian court, the respondents will have to appear," said Arshdeep Khurana, a criminal lawyer in India.

I had an epic 3-hour podcast conversation with @narendramodi, Prime Minister of India.
It was one of the most powerful conversations of my life.

As I mentioned some months ago, nearly all "Indians" who participated in these protests would be "Indian-Americans", not real Indians. Most of the Indian students going to USA on F-1 visa are there to study and would not want to jeopardize their visa. But, such exceptions as Srinivasan prove the rule.
The Trump admin advisors, given that they're brilliant intellectuals, probably thought Bhutan was adjacent to Sudan since they rhyme.
It amazes me that people in the US government, in both political parties, are like drunks who wander from one side of the road to another, ultimately going nowhere.

Glad to welcome TulsiGabbard to India. Exchanged views on further advancing the India-U.S. Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership. Both countries are committed to combating terrorism and enhancing maritime and cyber security cooperation.

Hamas is not designated as a terrorist organisation by India

Only a technicality. Designating them as a terrorist would be painting bulls eye on India's butts . India was off radar from them . But no longer so. Also if they dig him deep they'll find connections to other organizations that India probably designated as terrorists .

Ah but the process of law, especially in India, gives a lot of importance to technicalities.
Lawyers depends on technicalities to create loopholes to enable their clients to escape.
What do you think will happen when this dude finds representation by high profile lawyers like the kind of Sibal, Singhvi etc
So as you said, the indian agencies need to dig deeper and find connections to designated terrorist organizations.
This is behind a paywall. Summarize if you please.
A lot of BS being peddled in that article by one Mahapatra.

Under US President Donald Trump’s government, immigration enforcement has been reinforced, affecting green card holders and H-1B visa holders, especially if they travel abroad. Now, the question is, what omen does it carry for the Indian community across the Atlantic?
What the heck is "across the Atlantic" for HTimes readers living in India?!!!
New York City-based attorney Naresh Gehi told Newsweek, “The administration is taking the law in their own hands with blatant disregard to the judiciary of the nation.” He also noted that many Indian professionals with green cards have reported being questioned more frequently.
This fellow Naresh Gehi seems to have no regard for a democratically elected President of the country he is a citizen of.
Immigration attorneys have howled that lawful immigrants are being subjected to better scrutiny and pressure at ports of entry. The administration has relied on ensuring adherence to existing immigration laws on account of national security and border control.
So they are howling like hyenas?!!! And the next sentence says the admin is well within their right to question PR holders. Citizenship is contingent upon proper conduct for five years - never staying outside for more than 180 days and such. Citizen children get PRs for their parents to use them as babysitters for every child. Parents have no intention of becoming citizens yet the bhoosa children want to burden them further instead of their spending their retired life peacefully among their family and friends in Bharat.
Last year, there was a case that received attention when Fabian Schmidt, a green card holder from New Hampshire, did not like the treatment he received at Logan Airport upon returning from Luxembourg. He was said to have been subject to an aggressive interrogation and pressured to surrender his status.
Hilton Beckham, Assistant Commissioner of Public Affairs at CBP, denied the claims to Newsweek, stating, “These claims [regarding Schmidt] are blatantly false with respect to CBP. When an individual is found with drug-related charges and tries to reenter the country, officers will take proper action.”
Some countries execute folks with drug related charges. This Fabian Schmidt guy seems to Eurotrash entitled elite. It figures that he is from Luxembourg, a pip squeak tax haven for the corrupt and wealthy tax scoffs of the world.
Probably this guy Mahapatra is an OG urban naxal who is looking for a stint at Haas School along with Teesta Setalvad and Angana Chatterjee (remember her?).

The MAGA backlash on non-whites and the allowing millions into the US illegally is going to be overboard. They are going to enforce the US laws very hard now.
Meanwhile scoop:
- Delhi set to welcome US Vice President JD Vance & NSA Mike Waltz in April, followed by the visit of Defence Secy Hegseth. Next week Asst US Trade Representative Brendan Lynch (ahead of reciprocal tariff April 2 date) to visit India next week.
US President Donald Trump on Monday said he would impose a 25 per cent tariff on countries that buy oil and gas from Venezuela, a punitive measure that could hit Asian markets including China and India, among others, and sow fresh global trade uncertainty.
...
...
The latest across-the-board 25 per cent levies targeting direct and indirect buyers of Venezuelan oil can take effect as soon as April 2, according to an order signed Monday by Trump.
According to Trump's order, the 25 per cent tariff expires a year after the last date that a country has imported Venezuelan oil -- or sooner if Washington decides so.
....
In December 2023 and January 2024, India was the top buyer of Venezuelan crude oil. In the first month, New Delhi imported approximately 191,600 barrels per day, which rose to over 254,000 in the following month. In January 2024, India was importing nearly half of Venezuela's total oil exports (almost 557,000 bpd for the month).
In 2024, India imported 22 million barrels of oil from Venezuela, which made up 1.5 per cent of the country's total crude oil purchases.

Thanks for the heads up. I will be careful.
Usually I expect something of interest in link posted by a senior poster who has thousands of posts to their credit here on this forum. This particular link came with no synopsis. The headlines are misleading.
I hope people take care of not posting clickbait links with sensational headlines without a summary. If they must, at least give a summary as to why it is worth our attention.

They are not going to take down USCIRF. Most of the fundu Christians are MAGA and Trump supporters. Dems wouldn't do it either because thy are beholden to the Islamists. Also Catholic church is infiltrated majorly by progressive left. Think Obama, Pelosi, Harris, and Southern Baptist Bill Clinton.
The part I liked from Jaiswal's reply was "In fact, it is the USCIRF that should be designated as an entity of concern"

The US govt pays American farmers about $42 billion each year, a fact which must be factored into any Trumpian demand that India lower its agricultural tariffs.
