Italy has finally come to it's senses and will no doubt exit the BRI. Italy is the soft underbelly of Europe.

A lot of European nations do not really like the US. Italian venture into BRI was just that - to poke the US in the eye.

One of the reasons why Bharat works is just that, Bharat offers, despite being economically much smaller, a viable, with little risk alternative.

The Battle of Civilization

Important point in bold imo.
Iran has formed an axis of terror by arming, training and financing Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen and other terror proxies throughout the Middle East and beyond. In fighting Hamas and the Iranian axis of terror, Israel is fighting the enemies of civilization itself.
Victory over these enemies begins with moral clarity. It begins with knowing the difference between good and evil, between right and wrong. It means making a moral distinction between the deliberate murder of the innocent and the unintentional casualties that are the inevitable result of even the most just war.
It means holding Hamas accountable for the double war crime it commits every day by deliberately targeting Israeli civilians and deliberately using Palestinian civilians as human shields. It means not only making clear that the use of human shields is an immoral tactic of war, but making certain it is an ineffective one.

Bala saar,
I've come across the English & French terms Philistines and Phlistins - Palestine is close enough but never got around to digging deeper. Looks like you just need to brush away surface sand...

The axis of terror is clear, as someone remarked, if that isn't clear then "...why Hezbollah continues to build a vast rocket force exclusively for targeting Israeli civilian centers decades after Israel withdrew from Lebanon".

Claims Russians have taken positions in Syria (implying the Russians have rolled out of their barracks) and Saudis have attacked the Houthis, who are backed by Iran.

AIM's history of the place has many things including that Palestine as a name was given by the Brits and until 1920 such a name was not known. He correctly points out that the people were invaders (from Crete) and hence other Arab nations are not likely to absorb them. Jordan refused, Egypt does not want them. One history detail that AIM does not get right is discussed in Christianity, Evangelism thread

Iran is not solely to blame. Qatar is a bigger funder for terror with US backing. Qatar has funded ISIS, Taliban, Hamas and multiple other NGOs acting as OGWs for terrorists. We also need Iran to access Afghanistan and IAF base in Ayni.

I think US is playing both sides of the game

They are selling weapons and funding the war
They are funding the academicians and letting media to do propaganda and rile up Arabs. Wokes get paid to rile up Muslims

It can't be played for long. Media shapes the narrative. Soon it would become difficult for them to sell weapons as public will ask questions.
Questions will be based on how media is shaping narrative now.

Media has shaped the narrative for the last 100 years if not more and public have been proven gullible.

Many in BRF in Bengaluru expected solutions by voting INC , in TN DMK completely controls the media.

For the first time in history: Israel was the first in the world to intercept an enemy missile in space.
Israel's Arrow (Hetz) missile defense system shot down a ballistic missile beyond the Earth's atmosphere that was launched by the pro-Iranian Houthis from Yemen towards Eilat.

Houthis have exo atmospheric missiles?! Do any of 300 mile missiles escape the atmosphere? I am assuming Iran is not providing long range missiles even though its not a MTCR adherent..

To avoid losing continued support to them so far from various quarters globally (and locally), would it be wise for them to give a temporary pause on military ops (disaster to human lives and negative image) and let the western leftists and UN to send in their orgs and security personnel into Gaza and surrender/capture Hamas terrorists? Put some onus on these orgs too. Make it timebound after which resume operations to destroy/clean up the terrorist infrastructure.
Israel is getting thrashed—on PR front if not anywhere else—for existing. When the thrashing becomes physical, as on 10/7, they are thrashing back.

If they “pause” the counter-thrashing, what do you think will happen?

Will anyone stop thrashing, or wanting to thrash, Israel for existing? Will the thrashing even decrease?

If I am Israel, what is my motivation for “pausing?”

^^^FWIW, Yes, 300 mile missiles can escape the atmosphere. The Karman line, which is often considered to be the boundary between Earth's atmosphere and space, is located at an altitude of about 100 Km. A 300 mile missile would need to travel at a velocity of about 7.8 km/s .. in order to escape the atmosphere and reach 'space'. This velocity is achievable with that rocket technology.

to add on, I remember Prithvi would reach 80km altitude per early graphs by Arun_S. Another 20km to cross the Karman line would be expected for a 300mi range missile.
