there are a lot of folks who are too cautious after having been bitten thrice in a span of a decade. Eyeraq, Lybia, & now Syria. Now people are beginning to get used to analysis of US invincibility and inevitability. But then destiny always throws up surprises, and so it shall this time around.
meanwhile entertain yourselves with this .. Kerry's kutta does bow-bow .. the pet also thinks everyone is like it's master ..

Russia has implied that it won't supply boots to the ground, but will do everything else. And that should be enough to harass the all-lied coalition. Maybe a false flag attack on US soil can also be arranged by Kerry's all-lies and Iran, Lebanon dragged in as well. There will be some furious retaliation by the all-lies on that pretext but then it will again wind down to war of attrition. I fully expect some incident to be staged before vote in US Congress goes through. Whoever directly gets involved in Syria will bleed.
Then there is also the slim chance that nothing can happen whatsoever, and this entire thing was a setup so as to discredit bandar & AIPAC types from going solo on any issue again and to force them to stick to the party line. Also Obama is shown his place and it is impressed upon him that he can never be as good adeceiver leader as the true blue-blooded ones.

---Syria’s FSA leader calls Russia’s Putin a ‘Terrorist’ and ‘liar’
SEPTEMBER 8, 2013 ⋅ 3:19 AM ⋅ POST A COMMENT
General Salmin Idris, the leader of the Free Syria Army (FSA) , called Vladimir Putin a terrorist today after the Russian president said that allegations of a August 21 chemical weapons attack in the suburbs of Damascus was a “provocation” by Syrian rebels.
“President Putin is lying,” Gen. Idriss told Fox News. “He knows exactly that the regime is killing our citizens … and is using Russian weapons and ammunition, tanks, [and] Scud missiles to destroy all the liberated areas. This man, President Putin, is a terrorist. And he is trying now to deceive the international community.”
since you have already decided that India's course is wrong and your prescription is correct. Then what do you suggest should be the course of action. You have listed all issues including India's flawed legacy of romantic approach to issues but no solutions on how to take the matter forward. Montek & Chidambaram can give competition to Kerry at every level, and then some more. Maybe they can also sip wine and dine with Kerry. So I am least concerned on that front. The inability of India to correctly read the tea leaves (based on most likely scenarios) might once again become obvious.
