chutney of the nut of coco....As for relevance to thread, these culinary delights could be seen as gastronomical strategic assests in winning hearts and minds (Raj Kapoor/Bollywood/coconut chutney …it’s all soft power) but this line of reasoning appears a little tenous at this point so I'll not push this furtheret de l chutney de noix de coco.

on Pattina Pravesam but he can’t be everywhere fighting for Hindu rights. Truth is there are two rules: one for Hindus, the other for non-Hindus who are free to celebrate their festivals the way they like.

Blatantly Anti-Hindu @mkstalin rubs off Tilak from his head immediately after it was sported by priests of Srirangam temple two days back! Also he enjoys people falling at his feet to *seek* blessings apparently. Why self-trumpet the dead Dravidian Atheism anymore to fool people?

Lucknow–A petition has been filed in the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court seeking directives to the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to open 20 rooms inside the Taj Mahal in Agra to ascertain whether the Hindu idols and inscriptions are hidden there.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) media in-charge of Ayodhya district, Dr Rajneesh Singh has filed the petition which is yet to come up for hearing.
Advocate Rudra Vikram Singh is representing the petitioner in court.
“There is an old controversy related to the Taj Mahal. Around 20 rooms in Taj Mahal are locked and no one is allowed to enter. It is believed that in these rooms there are idols of Hindu gods and scriptures,” said Dr Rajneesh Singh.
“I have filed a petition in the high court seeking directives to ASI to open these rooms to ascertain facts. There is no harm in opening these rooms and setting to rest all controversies,” said Singh on Sunday.
In the plea, the petitioner has sought directives from the court to the state government to constitute a committee that would examine these rooms and look for any evidence related with the Hindu idols or scriptures there.
Rajneesh Singh said he has been trying to ascertain facts about the 20 locked rooms of Taj Mahal since 2020 through the Right to Information Act (RTI).
Singh had filed an RTI in 2020 with the Union ministry of Culture seeking information about the rooms.
“Since 2020, I have been trying to ascertain facts about the locked rooms of Taj Mahal. I had filed an RTI. Replying to the RTI, the Union ministry of Culture informed the Central Information Commission (in Delhi) that these rooms were locked due to security reasons and no detail was provided about these rooms,” he added.
“In the RTI, I had sought details about the locked rooms (what is inside them) and directives to open them,” Singh said.
“When all my efforts failed then I have approached the Lucknow high court seeking directives to the government to open these rooms and constitute a fact-finding committee to find out whether Hindu gods and scriptures are inside them,” he added.
It may be pointed out that several right-wing organisations claim Taj Mahal to be Tejo Mahalaya, a Hindu temple.

Yasin Malik has pleaded guilty in Hawala Terror case of NIA (2017).
He hasn’t pleaded guilty in the cases of killing of IAF Officials & Kashmiri Hindus.
Pleading guilty doesn’t matter.
Why has the Indian state failed to send terrorist Yasin Malik to the gallows in last 33 years?

I feel this is just a gimmick, and there are very high chances for this creep to come out as a martyr. Our law (based on 1800s- and 1900s British law) is heavily biased against the prosecution. An accused can just keep quiet or keep on denying the charges against him. It is for the prosecution (mainly the police) to bring up evidence, witnesses and build a convincing case - and all this while the accused can remain uncooperative. I don't know if any confesssion statement of Yasin Malik has been taken down by a Judicial Magistrate under Sec 164 Cr.PC. If no, none of his 'confession' to media etc is of any great value. The crimes committed by him are done decades before. Chances of now getting witnesses and solid evidence is very remote in this case.vijayk wrote:Yasin Malik did not have a lawyer in this case, but the amicus curaie appointment by the court confirmed that the accused was not contesting the charges levelled against him
I feel what ever can be achieved by 'The Kashmir Files' has been achieved. This movie making in more profits is not going to make any changes in the lives of Kashmiri Pandits. The key people here - Indian voters - how ever have got a chance to understand the realities of 'Kashmiriyat'. It is upto them to decide whom to vote next. When I see the current push for 'The Kashmir Files', I get a feeling that the focus is to sell the movie (and make profits) and use the theme of the movie as an excuse for doing that.Ambar wrote:So Singapore did not allow screening of 'The Kashmir Files'.
There is much more to this, than what the secular & liberal media wants to report. The orders from the court can be downloaded from here. It is a 3 page order, and from its reading I feel that the Hon.SC and the Central Government are working together in this case. Quoting from the order, and interpretations are mine.vijayk wrote:SC suspended Sedition law and asking Govt. to release all charged under it even when Govt. said they will review it. The morning Azaan (call for the first prayer of the day referred to as Fajr) usually goes out before 6 am, and many city residents are receiving it in different ways from mobile applications to Whatsapp group reminders. An apartment complex in Panvel has loudspeakers (they might mean intercoms) installed in every house which connects to a prayer room constructed in the building, and the Juma Masjid in Crawford Market has announced plans to launch an app that will help people hear the Fajr within their homes.

There are several mobile applications notify the time for Namaz for different cities (the time for prayer changes according to the latitude and longitude of a place); there are also apps that provide recorded Azaans.

“Muslims did not react to the political controversy which was not expected by them (MNS). Consequently, those looking to get advantage out of it failed miserably and communal harmony and peace also maintained,” Maulana Mahmood Dariyabadi, general secretary, All India Ulema Council said. "There were no loudspeakers when Islam first emerged and the loudspeaker was simply a tool to reach out to more people, he said. “With changing times, such mobile apps are facilitating the believers in a different way,” Dariyabadi said.
Senior Opposition leader told me becoming PM twice is enough, reveals PM Modi
May 13, 2022
New Delhi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday recalled an opposition leader's observation which stated that becoming PM twice was enough accomplishment while asserting that he has no intention of slowing down.
The Prime Minister was virtually addressing the Utkarsh Samaroh in Gujarat's Bharuch.
"One day, a senior leader met me. He regularly opposes us politically, but I respect him. He was not happy over some issues, so he had come to meet me. He said the country has made you Prime Minister twice, so what more do you want now. He was of the opinion that if one becomes PM twice then he has achieved everything," said the Prime Minister.
PM Modi further said that his dream is saturation and 100 per cent coverage of welfare schemes.
"They don't know Modi is made up of a different soil. The land of Gujarat has made him. That's why I do not believe in taking it easy, like whatever has happened has happened and now I should rest. No. My dream is saturation, 100 per cent coverage of the welfare schemes," he added.
His remarks came a month after NCP chief Sharad Pawar met the Prime Minister in Delhi and raised the issue of the central agencies' action against Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut and the family members of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
PM Modi, who was earlier Chief Minister of Gujarat, also referred to the BJP-led government at the Centre completing eight years in office later this month.
"Since you sent me to Delhi from Gujarat to serve the country, it will be eight years. These eight years have been devoted to seva, garib kalyan, sushasan (service, good governance, welfare of poor)," he said.
Two terms?!? Just two terms?!? Does this apply only to PM's post? What about CM's post? What about about party leadership post? Did such noble sentiments apply when The Dynasty was in a dominant position? I refer to JLN & IGchetak wrote:any guesses as to who this "Senior Opposition leader" is...

My wish is that NM lasts long enough to be the longest serving PM of India. Which means NM needs to be around for another 8-9 yearsSo, for this happen, not only 2024 but 2029 too must be won by Dharmics. For now, let us stay focused on GE2024.

https://www.indiatoday.in/law/story/sup ... 2022-05-11What are they expected to accomplish, especially when our justice system is so slow and cases piled up?
For ex. Justice Nagarathna (4-5 weeks), Justice Lalit, Justice Surya Kant (10 weeks each), some are there for a few months.
Justice Chandrachud will be around for 24 monthsHe will be the CJI during GE2024. If our general public does not give a clear mandate, the opposition will indulge in skullduggery because the CJI is their man
CJI is just the chief - he does not have more power then the other justices. If Bench fixing and case allocation is done in a non partial way the old Lutyens way of managing/fixing the case is/will be history.la.khan wrote: Justice Chandrachud will be around for 24 monthsHe will be the CJI during GE2024.
