Mysterious banners call on COAS to contest next general election
Mysterious banners urging Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif to contest the general elections in 2018 were spotted in Rawalpindi on Saturday, a few weeks ahead of the military chief's last day on duty.
In bold letters, the banners call for 'no extension but reduction' — asking for reduction from two to one year the minimum duration before a retired government servant can enter politics as well as urging General Raheel to enter the political arena and contest national elections in 2018.
The banners call on the government and the opposition to bring to an end "their divisive politics". They also call on the general to enter politics in the hopes that "ties between the country's civil and military leadership can harmonise".
The banners say there was hope that by taking part in the elections, [General] Raheel's party "will secure majority votes and he will be elected prime minister, leading the country on the path to becoming a success".
The posters name a Sheikh Rasheed Amjad Ali, member of a group called the Awami Monitoring Cell (Rawalpindi), as the man who has organised the campaign.

Another Viral Indian Product in Pakistan, funny ad
Chora ganga kinare wala became chora lahore wala
A classic “topi drama” unfolded when The Sheikh of Lal Haveli made his bid for a spectacular protest appearance in a central Rawalpindi chowk. This was on October 28 and supposedly a choreographed part of The Great Khan’s dharna protest. Except that The Great Khan did a no-show and The Sheikh was left to his own devices. He managed to secret his way to an alley off the chowk and was ready to burst on to the stage when he realised that the local populace had also done a no-show. Some quick thinking resulted in the decision that he would ride into the sunset on a motorbike a la Mullah Umar escaping his would-be captors. Except that, The Sheikh reasoned, his trademark hairpiece could not be relied upon to stay put on his breezy motorbike ride. So he removed the hairpiece and put on a tight cap, the topi clinging to his head! And off he went on the back of a motorbike, whizzing in an out of an empty protest venue! A sight for sore eyes!
Visceral fundos
Talking to a well-versed persona of “the agencies”, our mole stumbled upon an interesting fact. The persona revealed, in an aside, that the late unlamented Hakeemullah Mehsud, one time leader of the Taliban always preferred to have Punjabi bodyguards, as opposed to Pakhtuns. Reason? Because, revealed the persona, Hakeemullah held fast to the belief that Punjabi religious extremists were far more “visceral” than Pakhtuns ever could be, because the latter’s worldview was “complicated” by considerations of tribe, honour and Pakhtunwali, their own cultural code. Punjabis, said Hakeemullah, were black and white in their views, hence most reliable.

According to Neo News, Trump was born as Dawood Ibrahim Khan in the now-Taliban-controlled Waziristan region of the country in 1954. After his parents were killed in a car accident, a British Indian Army captain took little Dawood to London, where the Trump family later adopted him and brought him to America, the report claimed.

This is more likely the actual transcript of the Ganja Sharif's phone conversation with The DON...
Donald Trump has heaped praise on Pakistan, traditionally a troublesome US ally, saying it is a “fantasticfanatic country, fantasticfanatic place of fantasticfanatic people” according to an official statement released by Islamabad.
The US president-elect made his effusive comments in a phone conversation on Wednesday with Nawaz Sharif, prime minister of the nuclear-armed state, whom Trump hailed as a “terrificterrorist guy”.
The statement by the government’s Press Information Department quoted Trump saying: “As I am talking to you prime minister, I feel I am talking to a personsnake I have known for long. Your country is amazing with tremendous opportunities for drone strikes. Pakistanis are one of the most intelligentintransigent people.
This family in the Pakistani city of Sahiwal are demonstrating demanding that the police take action against 6 men who raped their donkey

Breaking News: Army in Coup Shock
JNN - 4 Dec 20016
In a dramatic and unexpected move General Rawheel Sharief moved swiftly out of GHQ to seize retirement powers and change the direction of politics and power in Pakistan. It is reported that the PM Nawaz Sharief is hunkered down in his Presidential Palace busy appointing a new Chief of Staff, who is expected to move into position shortly.
In the past 20 years such an unprecedented action has not been seen in Pakistan where it is traditional and customary for the outgoing Army chief to become the incoming President. This shocking breach of protocol has left markets reeling and commentators baffled.

Turkish Airlines General Manager Yunus Mert stated this at the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) and Turkish Airlines. Mert said Pakistan and Turkey had excellent relations in different sectors and keeping in view requirements of the business community, the airline had announced a special discount package including lower fares.
He emphasised that the airline wanted to bring Turkish businessmen to Pakistan as the South Asian nation had a huge con (sic)
The sentence was left incomplete, but the message is befitting! Ijn't Bakistan known for its legendary con men?

Musharraf misses the good old days
c. JNN - Islamabad
Speaking off the cuff as was his trademark, former COAS and President (not for life) Pervez Musharaff today spoke at the sidelines of a conference on Biryani cooking to newsmen, saying how much he missed the good old days.
"In my time, every day I gave news! Lots of news!" he lamented to journalists here covering the event, "Every day I was doing something that people felt compelled to remark on!"
When pressed further by the surging throng of the Press Corps (who specialize in pressing), the former Commando said "Nowadays neither the COAS nor the PM say anything! They must be afraid!" Blaming anti-social elements and the evil hand of unnamed foreign powers, the jumping jarnail went on to say "Bloody Indians! They think they can do surgical strike and we will do nothing??!! Why our COAS is not giving them mouth-smash answer? Hain??"
As he was speaking, the famous Hyderabadi biryani was being served, so the thronging press corps dashed off to cover the launch and left the erstwhile coupmaster to ponder on what could have been.
