Well the US has lost Syria and its war on ISIS .. wonder how far this will ripple down in its influence in middle east !! .. oh they have shifted their CENTCOM operations command from Quatar to the US as well., so winding down middle east?., Gen Vodkov seems to have moved in deftly to fill the power vacuum

How does US supply its troops in Syria, Is it through Turkey (aka Afghanistan via Paki 2.0), or is it through iraq ( not much better i guess)?

Well this move of US has far reaching implications.
With the oil wells in north east hitherto controlled by SDF falling back into Syrian govt hands, the Syrian dependence on Tehran for oil drastically reduces.
Iran anyway sends a tanker worth oil to Syria which lasts for about 3 months. But dependence in Iran remains for reconstruction, pharmaceuticals etc.

USA is doubling down for its extended fight with PRC. these are distractions it does not want. there is no way they are getting out of Arabian peninsula which is the important one. Rest - syria/turkey etc. - Europe should handle. Time for them to commit troops and not rely on USA - which is what Trump keeps repeating at every possible instance.

Better to rename Turkey as paki2.0 , they are hiding and abetting the ISIS remnants now while EU sits on its collective asses and the trumper twiddles his thumbs !

Nice arrangement: Trump gets to say "I killed ISIS and the Kurds are fine". Erdogan gets to say "Kurds are no longer an issue; they've reabosrbed into Syria and basically Iraq, too. I win." Putin gets to say "I win and from now on you all need to just side with me". Assad gets to say "I'm alive." Iran and Shia Crescent sort of win. Looks like a fairly significant defeat for the globalist\Wahabbi\Jew alliance. Or maybe I'm reading this too optimistically.

The Turks' plan prolly was that they wanted a Isis pasand jihadi 'buffer' but in territories where Syria Iraq Iran are close by at North of Syria. This happen to be kurd population too therefore the excuse. Their future plan would be to eat up more territories of these countries depending upon which one becomes weaker while Turks play political games with support of allies.
Wonder why anyone has to entertain such plans though. No one gives a shyt unless partners in crime from far away with ambitions join in. (Paki, China ) for loot and plunder while proxy from turklands run riot for land women and what not.

There are attacks on the YPG held areas near afrin..

SAA takes over the grassy fields
Al-Omar’s large oilfields and Conoco gas facilities in control of the Syrian government.
The Kremlin said late on Tuesday that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had phoned Putin.
The Russian leader had used the call to complain about the humanitarian situation on the Turkish-Syrian border and had stressed the need to avoid a clash between Turkish and Syrian forces.
Putin had told Erdoğan that the situation whereby Islamic State prisoners being held in custody by Syrian Kurds were exploiting the chaos by trying to escape was unacceptable, the Kremlin said.
Russia: Turkey’s unacceptable invasion of Syria
President Vladimir Putin’s envoy for Syria Alexander Lavrentiev says 1998 pact between Syria and Turkey allows Turks to push up to 6 miles into Syria for counter terrorism purposes, but that Turkey does not have the right to remain in Syria permanently.

US trained 'moderate rebels' were fighting US trained YPG in territory previously occupied by US which the US has now abandoned.
Pompeo ahead of Turkey visit:
"We should never mistake who the actor is that has caused this disruption there. It wasn’t the US, it wasn’t the Europeans that were there in Syria alongside of us; it was Pres Erdogan who is responsible for this instability” http://ahval.co/en-61940
So the Americans are washing their hands, not only from the #Kurds but also from #Turkey. The US is saying it has nothing to do with the way. The US hasn't trained/armed jihadists, bombed the Syrian Army, No. Nothing.

If Erdogan is really as dumb as he appears to be, he might push on and then it's war between Turkey\jihadists\ISIS remnants on one side (with Isreali air support) and Syria\Russia\Iran\Kurds on the other side. Conventionally, Turkey could overwhelm the small Russian contingent in Syria, after all they have hundreds of modern combat aircraft vs a few dozen RuAF planes. But on the ground, it looks like this would be a real meat grinder for Turkey and its jihadi brigades.
Could Erdogan be that short-sighted?

Could Erdogan be that short-sighted?
The Russians are flying in a substantial force to use as Patrols / Military Polis "separating the two armies". Meanwhile the No-Fly Zone enforced by the RuAF provides air cover.
I wondered why the Russians were putting themselves in harm's way by being "between the two armies".
The amazing thing is that very suddenly, the RuAF enforced a No-Fly Zone over the areas that used to have NATO forces. No fuss, just fait accompli, and I don't hear any NATO complaints. L'Hotel de Champagne Flotacione with all its Rafales, silent. (experience of what happened last time has not been forgotten). UK Poodle Air Force.. silent. USAF doing aerobatics over Saudi Arabia. And the TuAF? totally grounded or getting chased away. Israelis quiet - so far.
Message is very simple: To hit the Syrians, the Turks/ Moderate Child Beheaders (MCH) would have to overrun the Russians. Anyone attacking the Russians will be blasted from land, sea and air. If it were SyAF doing the patrolling, the Israelis might work their mischief, but even they are going to think hard b4 bissing off the Russians.

Syrian Army officially entered YPG-held Kobani this evening. Joint forces will deter any future Turkish-jihadist offensive on the symbolic town.
This will be first official Syrian state presence in a town bordering Turkey besides Kessab and Qamishli.

Breaking: Syrian Army prepares to enter Raqqa city for first since 2013
The source said the U.S. military has already begun withdrawing from Al-Raqqa, adding that the Syrian Army will not enter until all of the former’s forces are gone from the city.
This is a major development in northern Syria as the Syrian Army’s return to Raqqa marks the first time since 2013 that their troops will enter this city in northern Syria.

Israelis are traditional Kurdish allies and have condemned the the turkish move so very unlikely to do anything serious other than a raid or two in Syria. Marshal Vodkov could have a half dozen s400 batteries and serious numbers of flankers and foxbats in the zone in double quick time if needed.
The turks will not try to push the russians - they don't stand a chance. They got away with it earlier thanks to the US presence in the region. Right now the Russkis call the shots and the Turks will have to behave.

Only in its dreams could turkey dislodge the Russkis from the area - the russkis will have the place sealed off with s400s, flankers and offensive strikes - Kalibr and White Swan deliveries. The israelis are pretty pro kurd for the most part and have already condemned the turks.
