http://rt.com/news/north-new-ballistic-missile-531/Seoul claims North Korea is assembling another heavy ballistic missile similar to the ill-fated one launched on April 13.
Seoul’s assumptions are based on American space reconnaissance data. They say both rockets were delivered at the site simultaneously around March 23. One rocket was unsuccessfully launched last week, falling to pieces less than two minutes after the launch.
The second rocket, presumably of the same type and specifications, is being prepared for launch in a hangar at at the Tongch'ang-dong Space Launch Center in woodland some 50 kilometers from the border with China.
Seoul believes Pyongyang wants to compensate for the unfortunate launch of the Unha-3 that was supposed to take first North Korean satellite into an orbit.
Yes indeed, but this time they banked on a Chinese reaction. Loss of a strategic post in Siachen, crumbling economy, nationalist movements emerging strongly in Baluchistan, Gilgit/ Baltistan and Sindh, American pressure, even Chinese pressure..they've got their plate full at present. It would look very silly firing a 700 mile rocket in response to something we're doing obviously and loudly as deterrent to China. One interesting thing to note is Pakistan's non-reaction to the Agni-V launch. Not too long ago, they wold have responded with a missile test of their own along with a silly "balance of power" statement.
Well teh Chinese are acting like Paquis now - the Chini media say that Agni 5 is a threat to Pakistan and China. Tessy Mol will have to be launched from China to hit Shitistan. ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (CNN) -- An airplane with 127 people on board crashed Friday near an airport in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, Pakistan's GEO-TV reported, citing sources. The country's Civilian Aviation Authority confirmed reports of a crash, the station said.
The Boeing 737 was flying from Karachi and crashed just before touching down, the Karachi-based Pakistani news channel reported.
The weather conditions in the area include high winds and limited visibility, according to CNN meteorologist Mari Ramos.
Rescue teams were reportedly headed to the crash site
Aviation officials said the Bhoja Air plane, flight BHO-213, was flying from Karachi to Islamabad when it crashed in bad weather near Chaklala Airbase, Rawalpindi.
Appears the Mohammadden Sabbath of Friday has not been effective in getting the Mohammadden denizens of Karachi in toning down violence levels . The body-count, despite today being the Mohammadden Sabbath, has pipped yesterdays:shravan wrote:Unending violence claims 13 lives in Karachi

Qazi Hussain Ahmad declined to comment on a new videotape recorded by the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) head Hakimullah Mahsud in which he accused the former Jamaat-i-Islami chief of distorting the concept of jihad and defending Pakistan instead of Islam.
From here:Criticizing Qazi Hussain for describing the Afghan Taliban's resistance against foreign forces in Afghanistan as true jihad and that of the Pakistani Taliban in Pakistan as un-Islamic, Hakimullah argued that the JI leader was wrong in his interpretation.
"Both the Karzai regime in Afghanistan and the Pakistan government are allies of the US. In Afghanistan, the US is occupying Bagram and Jalalabad and other airbases and in Pakistan the Americans were in control of Jacobabad airbase. Where is the difference between the fight being waged by the Afghan Taliban and the Pakistani Taliban as both are waging jihad?" he asked.
Hakimullah reminded Qazi Hussain that he was once given respect by educated people, students, Ulema and others. "Now I can no longer trust you, Qazi sahib. Why are you calling our battle "fasaad" instead of jihad? You are secular and "watanprast" because you are seeking power and defending Pakistan instead of Islam!" he stressed.
The list is growing, Benazir Bhutto, Col. Imam, Sqn. Ldr. Khwaja, Fazl-ur-Rehman (escaped assassination). Qazi Hussain saheb must seek Canadian visa urgently.

India and Pakistan are poor countries whose people urgently need food. This website crash shows that websites are a costly luxury that both countries could ill afford. ISLAMABAD: International figures show that Pakistan is one of the countries having the highest most out-of school children, -- 7.3 million (UNESCO, 2009).
This indicates a high number of street and working children in Pakistan. Various sources show that more than 170,000 street children are living on the streets across the country; and that 30,000 to 40,000 street children are present in the metropolitan areas.Children on streets are mistreated by many stakeholders. Almost 40,000 street children involved in solvent abuse in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Rawalpindi and Islamabad, Society for the Protection of the Rights of the Child (SPARC) says.To help these children SPARC is having a drop-in center in Pir Wadhai.Every day almost 90 children profit from various services as psychosocial support, non-formal education, life skills based education, recreational, health and hygiene improvement sessions and medical support, vocational skill training and play activities. Last year 1700 children availed different services of our center.
Note how Qazi refused to address Hakimullah's threats. A definite brown shalwar moment there...I bet he reaches out secretly to make peace with TTP types.SSridhar wrote:. Qazi Hussain saheb must seek Canadian visa urgently.
Does Karachi to Slumbad take 3.5 hr? What the hell is going on? Was the plane using djinn technology or running on Diesel/water mixture? The Bhoja airliner was flying from the southern seaport city of Karachi and crashed just before touching down after its 3 ½ hour flight.
A batch of 900 soldiers of the new "Security Force" of the Strategic Plans Division, which is responsible for managing the country's nuclear arsenal, graduated from the Baloch and Frontier Force Regimental Centres at the garrison town of Abbotabad on Thursday, the military said in a statement.
"With the induction of these newly trained soldiers, the strength of the SPD Security Force touches a figure of 20,000," the statement said. The Security Force has been raised against the backdrop of concerns expressed by politicians about Pakistan's nuclear arsenal being targeted by the US in order to prevent it from falling into the hands of extremists. The Pakistani military has dismissed such concerns, saying it has multi-layered foolproof measures in place to protect its strategic assets. The statement said the SPD had undertaken a "comprehensive plan to significantly augment the capacity of its Security Force to ensure foolproof security of strategic assets".t further said four batches of the Security Force had been trained at the Baloch and Frontier Force Regimental Centres while a batch of the "Special Response Force" was trained at the newly established SPD Training Academy.Maj Gen Muhammad Tahir, the Director General of Security for the SPD, was the chief guest at the passing-out ceremony for the 900 soldiers on Thursday.
Loadshedding unbridled as electricity shortfall reaches 5,500 MW

Last month’s Islamabad plane tragedy that killed 152 people has swivelled focus to a sphere in Pakistan that rarely occupies Indian mindspace: the western neighbour’s private airlines.
As for PIA, most of its aircraft have poor seats, seat belts and meal tables.
Nor are the airlines meticulous about safety. For instance, experts are asking why the Airbus A321’s pilot had ignored air traffic control (ATC) instructions to fly to Lahore because of poor weather in Islamabad, and why he had entered the restricted area of Margalla Hills minutes before the crash.
Besides, the Airblue co-pilot was very young with only a few year’s experience. The experts said it was a mistake on the airline’s part to assign such a junior pilot to a route considered the most difficult for landings because of the ever-changing weather.
Airlines have to get their planes registered for certain domestic and international routes in the rest of the world including India, he said, which makes it binding on the operators not to shuffle the aircraft. But there is nothing of the sort in Pakistan, where airlines often switch aircraft from domestic to international routes. {They register a plane for a route and then fly some other plane in the same route for cost cutting}

He further said that another Bhoja Air plane will arrive in Karachi at around 10:30pm and will fly with the relatives of the victims to Islamabad. He added that the plane was in a good condition.
