Muslims voted for Trump to punish Democrats for their strategy with Israel, so it is not automatic that Muslims vote with Progressives. Moreover, Progressives have noted this (e.g., here is Progressive Markos Moulitsas: https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2025/1 ... going-well ) about the Muslim-run city of Dearborn MI screaming for help from the Democrats in the face of Trump's ICE:
Osama Siblani, publisher of The Arab American News, put it plainly.
“They didn’t vote for Trump because they believe Trump is the best candidate,” he said. “No, they voted for Trump because they want to punish the Democrats and Harris.”
And punish them they did.
So why are the same people now demanding that Democrats rescue them from the very consequences of the outcome they helped create? Why are they pleading for protection from the man they empowered?
....
Don’t hand the keys to a man promising to do exactly what he did the first time around, except worse. And don’t go running to the very people you worked to defeat, demanding they clean up the mess.
Trump in TERROR as World Plans MASSIVE BOYCOTT: "Make America Go Away" Viral
Trump in terror as a massive global boycott takes hold, with millions joining the "Make America Go Away" movement to reject US products and travel. In this video, we break down why the White House is panicking over a projected $22 billion loss in tourism and exports as allies like Canada and Denmark officially turn their backs on the American economy.
We cover the full details of this economic revolt:
The "MAGA-Away" Movement: How the viral red hats have turned into a consumer boycott targeting Apple, McDonald's, and Tesla across Europe.
The Tourism Collapse: Why Canadian flight bookings to the US have plummeted 40% and Scandinavia by 50% following Trump’s insults.
The "Travel Warnings": New alerts from EU nations warning citizens to avoid the US due to "Civil Unrest" and "Arbitrary Detentions" at the border.
The Panic: Trump’s desperate Truth Social rant attacking Prime Minister Mark Carney, warning that China will "eat them up" if they don't buy American.

A_Gupta ji,
no need to go to faraway amrika to test this hypothesis
many examples in India will attest to this fact that there is a symbiotic relationship between the commies and the jihadis UNTIL the $h@r!@ tipping point has been achieved. bengal, KER, are cases in point, with tripura being a deviation because the BJP defeated the commies there displacing a 35 year run (give or take) of the commies
the gelf is replete with such examples until the jihadis genocided the commie useful idiots in countries like lebanon, iraq and sudan
which islamic country do you know that has a effective and functioning commie party today......
The jihadis are using a gameplan that has worked well for then in the past and in diverse geographies.
Look to the EU, UK and increasingly the US and that demographic invasion is the most likely future of amrika, australia and new zealand

FURIOUS World Leaders BAN Trump from BIGGEST ALLIANCE: "NATO is Broken"
Furious world leaders have effectively banned Trump from the West's biggest economic alliances as the fallout from his "Greenland Annexation" threats reaches a breaking point. In this video, we break down why the European Parliament voted to "freeze" the US Trade Deal and why Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is calling this a "total rupture" of the Atlantic Alliance.
We analyze the Global Isolation:
The "Ban": How the EU Parliament blocked the ratification of the US Trade Pact, citing Trump's "bullying" of NATO ally Denmark.
The "Rupture": The bombshell speech by PM Mark Carney warning that "integration has become subordination" and signaling Canada will pivot to other partners.
The Arctic Exclusion: How the 7 other Arctic nations (all NATO members) are moving to hold security talks without the US, effectively isolating Trump from the region he tried to buy.
The Context: This comes just days after Trump was forced to "retreat" on tariffs at Davos, leaving him looking weak and isolated on the world stage.

Trump Thrown UNDER THE BUS by JD Vance: Admits ICE "Mistakes" & Chaos
Trump gets thrown under the bus by his own VP as JD Vance admits the administration's massive deportation operation has become "chaotic" and riddled with "mistakes." In this video, we break down the bombshell interview with the Washington Examiner where Vance refused to blindly defend the "Operation Metro Surge" amid growing backlash over the shooting of Alex Pretti.
We analyze the shocking admission:
The "Bus" Moment: Vance admitting "You're never going to eliminate mistakes" and "It's going to happen at the federal level" regarding the fatal ICE shootings.
The Break: While Trump claims the operation is "perfect," Vance conceded the situation in Minneapolis is "chaotic" (though he tried to blame Gov. Tim Walz).
The Fallout: Why loyalists see this as weakness: Vance promised to "investigate" agents and "take disciplinary actions" if justified, opening the door to federal liability.
The Context: This comes as Vance tries to save his own 2028 prospects while Trump’s approval rating hits a record low in key states.

Currently DEI is 'Deader than a doornail' and I think that's both good and bad. Institutions(Education/Government) which had DEI policies were annoying to deal with and they effectively achieved nothing much.
Institutions and organizations that did not have any DEI policies to begin with remained stuck where they were.
One govt. organization that did DEI right is the US armed forces. From desegregation that started with Truman's presidency in 1948, to what the policies were until recently, armed forces implemented this in a thoughtful, methodical, and deliberate fashion. Most of the corporations who implement DEI do it in a superficial way and those will always crack at the first instance of a challenge. Costco is one of the few corps which actually got this correctly and if it's actually done right, not many will have genuine problems with it.
I for one am glad these specious practices are done for as there was no fairness in how they were implemented by most of these organizations.
Sounds so very democratic from the champions of democracy and rules based order! Must have taken a leaf from Winnie the Pooh. I guess the Chairman will be able to 'purge' or 'frog-march' erring executive members.

@chetak, I am aware of the leftist-Islamist love fest. The CPI helped the Muslim League in the 1946 elections that preceded partition.
But the Israel-Biden-Harris-election seems to have woken up progressives. When Texas declared CAIR a terrorist organization, the usual howls of protest from the progressives was conspicuous by its absence.
This awakening has not happened in other countries AFAIK, and the US progressive awakening may be temporary.

Wrong interpretation of the stats. Democrat-run cities were releasing criminals without bail money. No wonder ICE had to go into the streets and do community-based raids.

(per news reports)This incident has rapidly escalated into a major diplomatic flashpoint as a direct violation of the Vienna Convention
Video shows an armed ICE agent attempting to force his way past the front desk of the Ecuadorian Consulate in Minneapolis.
A consulate staff member is seen physically blocking the doorway, repeatedly shouting, "This is sovereign territory!" * The Ecuadorian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Cancillería) filed a formal note of protest with the U.S. State Department late last night. President Daniel Noboa has reportedly summoned the U.S. Ambassador in Quito to demand an immediate explanation, calling the act an "unacceptable violation of international law and Ecuadorian sovereignty.
Ecuador temporary closed the Minneapolis office and has increased private security at all its U.S. diplomatic missions.

Up To 25% Of US Colleges May Close Soon, Brandeis President Warns
He made these remarks during a recent American Enterprise Institute event titled “Tackling Higher Education’s Challenges: A Conversation with Frederick M. Hess and Brandeis University President Arthur Levine.”
Wealthier institutions may have the resources to withstand the transition, but many others do not. Levine said that elite schools, such as Harvard, can afford to wait out disruptions, while smaller institutions face immediate pressure to adapt.
“Higher education is undergoing a transformation. Our whole society is undergoing a transformation,” Levine said, pointing to the shift from a national, industrial economy to a global, digital, knowledge-based one.
That shift, he said, is driving demographic, economic, technological, and political change that universities have been slow to address.
The challenges facing higher education, Levine said, are not new. He pointed to three longstanding criticisms that date back to the early 19th century, including that colleges change slowly, resist change, and cost too much.
“Outcomes better be worth the price paid,” he said, adding that when society changes, higher education often lags behind and scrambles to catch up.

1. LA, where mayor Bass is cooperating with Feds.
2. (Slightly different but within the bounds of the discourse) DC, where the National Guard was deployed to tamp down on crime. The mayor of DC did support the federal effort.

“A Bloomberg Economics analysis found that Trump only follows through on his tariff threats about a quarter of the time, with about 43% of threats being withdrawn or not imposed yet.”
The rumors about J.D. Vance leaving his wife for Erika Kirk, which have persisted since the two shared a much-discussed hug in October, were always more darkly entertaining than plausible. But observers have surmised that they took off because they reflected a certain air of uneasiness that has surrounded the Vances’ marriage the whole time it’s been on the national stage. As the highly educated daughter of Indian immigrants, Usha not only doesn’t burnish Vance’s MAGA credentials; she undermines them. When reports of a possible divorce on the horizon began to swirl in November, it wasn’t altogether surprising. Reckoning with all those contradictions was inevitable, right?
I guess not. No reckoning is imminent. In lieu of trading in his wife for a paler model, Vance has found another way to prove himself a good shepherd of the MAGA faithful: He and Usha are expecting a fourth child in July, they announced this week. (Their other children, two sons and a daughter, range in ages from 4 to 8. He is 41, and she is 40.) For all we know, there was never any trouble in their marriage, and the cognitive dissonance is pure projection. But it does make a kind of sick sense that if Vance can’t have a white wife standing next to him as he clearly looks toward the 2028 presidential election, the next best thing is a pregnant one.
...
'Gross' Slate piece comes under fire for suggesting Usha Vance pregnancy is political strategy
Joshua Q. Nelson
...
Schwedel noted that having four kids in 2026 is "a bit of a statement" as birth rates and average number of children per household has declined. On a similar note, a Vanity Fair article referred to the Vances as "pronatalism's poster couple" and noted they "announced the pregnancy on X—a social network owned by fertility-crazed Elon Musk."
"While that choice doesn’t have to be conservative-coded, it tends to skew that way," Schwedel wrote. "It’s also a statement in the sense that it follows more literal statements Vance has made about pronatalism and how women need to have more babies, and/or the evils of women who choose not to. In fact, the Vance baby is part of a mini–baby boom at the White House, with press secretary Karoline Leavitt and Katie Miller, the wife of White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller, also expecting."

Trump and his ring of buffoons are getting really tiresome now. Yawn ..
I watched his presser in Minneapolis. He was quite measured in his demeanor and articulation. Press folks were also quite well behaved, unlike when questioning the President.
A new acronym for liberal white women is gaining traction online, and the New York Times does not appear to be happy about it.
The paper published a lengthy piece Friday about the acronym AWFUL, which stands for Affluent White Female Urban Liberal. Conservative commentators have used the term to describe liberal women protesting immigration enforcement in Minneapolis following the fatal shooting of activist Renee Good by an ICE agent on January 7.
The NY Times even contacted the Department of Homeland Security about its growing popularity.
...
The paper leaned on academics to explain conservative criticism of affluent white liberal women. Rutgers political scientist Dr. Shauna Shames told the NY Times the term stems from anxieties about race, gender and immigration among Trump’s base.
The NY Times recently published opinion columns comparing ICE to a “secret police” and accusing the agency of waging war on Democratic cities.
Good had joined ICE Watch, a network of activists who track and disrupt immigration enforcement, the Daily Signal reported. The group promotes “de-arrest” tactics that instruct activists to physically free people from law enforcement custody. Training materials describe each de-arrest as a “micro-intifada.”
College-educated white women backed Harris by a 17-point margin, up from Biden’s nine-point margin in 2020, according to the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University.
Now we know from where this "democratic cities being targeted by 'secret police' ICE" is coming from here on BRF.
Next up, some will start parroting "majority Hindu India and majority muslim Pakistan are nuclear nations ..." and such.

but on the other hand "If it looks like a duck, goose steps like a duck, and barks like a duck, then it is (probably) a duck" and one does not need any higher authority to deduce that.

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent had told Fox News on Monday that Canada PM Carney had walked back much of his Davos speech in a phone call to Trump.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has told reporters he stands behind his speech in Davos calling out unconstrained super powers, after a Trump official said he had "aggressively" walked it back in a call with US President Donald Trump.
"To be absolutely clear, and I said this to the president, I meant what I said in Davos," Carney said on Tuesday, confirming he and Trump had spoken by phone.
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent had told Fox News on Monday that Carney was "very aggressively walking back" some of the remarks to Trump.

One wonders where the word "secret" entered into the discourse on BRF. "Anonymous" or "incognito" or "unidentified" might be more accurate.
On a traffic stop, a US cop will identify themselves -- "I am Officer X, badge #Y" before proceeding to ticket (or advise) the driver on whatever infraction it was. ICE on the other hand is masked, badge less, and need not be uniformed; they often do not identify themselves.
I'm beginning to agree with Stephen Miller in a way (/sarc) some Indians ruin the culture. Highly educated immigrants from India resident in the US have no clue about due process or Constitutional rights and blather on about their authoritarian fantasies. They should either get a civics education, or self-deport.

As of late January 2026, the authorized documentary about Melania Trump has experienced extremely low, or "soft," ticket sales in the UK, despite a major rollout in over 100 cinemas. Reports indicate some showings had only one or two tickets sold, with 23 out of 32 screenings in certain Scottish locations selling no tickets at all.
Key details regarding the documentary's release:
Initial Demand: Despite a $35 million global marketing campaign, early pre-sales for the film, directed by Brett Ratner, were minimal.
Specific Figures: The Guardian reported only one ticket was sold for a premiere screening at a flagship London branch.
Regional Data: The Herald Scotland reported that in Scottish cinemas, only 20 tickets were sold out of 1,916 available seats.
I suggest Trump acolytes on BRF buy some tickets (even if they can't attend) to help their hero.
US Dollar Falls: Trump’s Presidency Faces Major Stress Test | Vantage with Palki Sharma | N18G Donald Trump's second presidency is facing an early stress test, with pressure mounting on multiple fronts at once. The U.S. dollar has slid to multi-year lows, unsettling markets even as Trump insists a weaker currency is "great" for business. At home, outrage over deadly ICE operations in Minnesota has forced the White House to signal a partial de-escalation, while prominent corporate leaders — including Apple's Tim Cook and OpenAI's Sam Altman — have publicly broken ranks to criticize the administration's immigration approach. The pushback appears to be resonating with voters too, as new polls show Trump's approval on immigration slipping into negative territory. While his presidency is not under immediate threat, the cracks are visible — and the pressure on Trump is clearly building. Palki Sharma tells you more.

Why the US is Concerned About Venezuela's New Leader Delcy Rodriguez | Vantage With Palki Sharma US intelligence reports have raised doubts about Washington’s confidence in Venezuela’s interim president, Delcy Rodriguez, following the arrest of President Nicolas Maduro. Maduro was captured by the United States earlier this year and flown to New York to face charges including drug trafficking and narco-terrorism. After his arrest, Rodriguez was sworn in as interim leader with backing from the Trump administration. US officials are now questioning her willingness to meet American demands, including expanded access to Venezuela’s oil sector and reduced ties with Russia, China, Iran and Cuba. Rodriguez has rejected foreign pressure while approving oil sales, releasing political prisoners and advancing reforms aimed at attracting foreign investment.
