Deal signing should not be attended by PM. Piyush Goyal can attend. The next moment of signing the deal, Trump could state something else and the blot will be on our PM. Trump should be avoided for the remaining time of his term. Even if its that inevitable a short recorded speech could be played or through video conference. Any statement made during that short interaction need to be countered right there itself and closed.
Indians will never ever show any respect for Trump. He thinks everyone is like him and will change their respect based on the money flowing and on business deals.

US President Donald Trump says, "We're making a deal with India, a much different deal than we had in the past. So right now, they don't love me, but they'll love us again. We're getting a fair deal, just a fair trade deal. We had pretty unfair trade deals...But we're getting close. Scott, I think we're pretty close to doing a deal that's good for everybody, right?..."
