Settlers of Hyderabad came to the US in droves and brought their settler culture, first to NJ, then to the Midwest, and now to Texas. Corner the real estate just like they did in Hyderabad. CA is a tough nut to crack, as the bar to getting a job there is much higher than in the "low-IQ" Midwest.

Those who came on F1s and doctors who came here in the pre-2000 era, got their citizenships within 6 years max. They sponsored their siblings. A minority of the siblings were well-qualified and could get a job here. The majority of folks are working in gas stations, truck driving, motels, 7-11, and serving in restaurants. Their children also did not do well academically due to a lack of parental guidance and meagre/no savings.

I don't know where one can get the stats, but I guess that it is a sizeable percentage of the Indian-American population.

As for that Navy guy, instead of making the whole issue about him, it behooves "High-IQ" folks to attack his methodology, his interpretation of those stats, and put up a website countering that kind of propaganda. I am sure our very very high-IQ IT coolies should be able to do that very easily since they competed with people like these and got the jobs - "data sciences", "big data", "block chain", "crypto", and now AI.

basti mein sawaal to all those who are driving Teslas/Mercs/Beamers/Audis/Volvos/Lexus, sipping single malts, and mimosas in California.

Two additional points I want to make.

1. When USCIS gave work permits to spouses of H1Bs (was it Obama?), a lot of them got hired by suppliers of the spouses' companies and were immediately placed in testing and such low-level jobs. Most of them knew barely enough English. They would have given hefty dowries to get married to an NRI groom. Highly educated NRI women married successful white men. NRI H-1 B boys had to bring brides from desh. They commanded good dowries and properties that the girls' parents had in India.

2. H1Bs here are losing jobs and have to go back to Desh. As long as there was an outsourcing/offshoring boom, they had good jobs in India. Also, most of the in-company software development, as well as SAP bla blah implementations, are over. Companies kept only 20% for maintenance and occasional enhancements. Most of these folks did not improve their qualifications. Even though all those who came in the mid-1990s got GCs and citizenships, now they are in to their early 50s. If they are laid off, they are finished. They have huge mortgages, spent a bomb on sending their kids to private unis, bought RE in desh. They can draw SS only after they are 67. In another 10 years, the retirement age might actually move up to 70 or even 72. Medicare can be availed of when you turn 65. But medicare premiums are going up.

One more point.

3. Their parents in India are aged and need constant care. Parents are unwilling to go into an old age home. "Good" old age homes are very expensive. Inexpnsive ones have poor facilities. Nursing/maid staff are not all that empathetic. But then that is true in the US too. Their siblings in India don't want to take care of their parents as their incomes are in INR.

4. There is no "dignity of labor" concept in desh. That is where all this low-IQ/high-IQ bullshitting is coming from. buddhi jeevi >> sharma jeevi snobbery is wide spread. They brought that with them here.

We see these traits in BRF itself.

Funny. The Navy guy ran in Republican Primary for US Senate. He got all of 9k votes (winner got 910k). Surprised he is not blaming H1B immigrants for his defeat - they must have rigged the election. Aiming high and blaming others for his failure seems to be his forte.

It is not about him. It is about his methodology. Newsome won several times. Bass won again. Slimy con persons and swindlers win elections.
