Pakistan state TV back on air after protesters storm offices
Pakistan's national television channel is back on air after security forces removed anti-government protesters from its headquarters in Islamabad.

Troops were sent in to regain control from demonstrators who had forced their way into the PTV offices.
So, did the troops actually remove them out, or did the demonstrators leave on their own after they ate all the cafeteria food?

No connection. Whatsoever.

Whatever happens in STFUp, its fruit of their karma. No meed to drag us and our "Akarma" in between here as the manifest destiny of STFUp is unfolding.
There is something quite interesting:
wiki wrote:Since its independence in 1947, Pakistan has spent several decades under military rule (1958 – 1971, 1977 – 1988, 1999 – 2008).
Now, in 1977, 1999, there were non-kongrez govts in dhesh. So, 1958 is the only outlier. Were the bakis expecting the kongrez to lose power in dhesh in 1958?
wiki wrote: Unsuccessful coup attempts

There have been numerous unsuccessful coup attempts in Pakistani history. The first noted attempt was the Rawalpindi conspiracy in 1949 led by Maj. Gen. Akbar Khan along with left-wing activists and sympathetic officers against the government of Liaquat Ali Khan, Pakistan's first prime minister.[1] Prominent poet-intellectual Faiz Ahmed Faiz was suspected of involvement.[5] In 1980, a plot by Maj. Gen. Tajammul Hussain Malik to assassinate Zia-ul-Haq on Pakistan Day on March 23, 1980 was exposed and thwarted.[6][2] In 1995, a coup attempt against the government of Benazir Bhutto led by Maj. Gen. Zahirul Islam Abbasi with the support of Islamic extremists was foiled.
This is also interesting. If the army wants there will be successful coup. If the army does not want, there won't be coup. But, what is any unsuccessful coup? I guess it is to send warning to the civilians to get in line.

Now, coming the present situation:
Is it going to be a successful coup or unsuccessful coup? In short, is it a powerchange or just a warning being sent to Badmash?

I think there is confusion in the Baki army itself: maybe there are two sections: one section wants a real power change(this could be due to cousin rivalry) and another section which wants to only send warnings.

Now, 10% managed to complete his term successfully whereas Badmash never quite seems to be able to do that. So, what is the difference? It seems that 10% being a Sindhi defers to the Baki army because he doesn't have the pakjabi powerstructure behind him. On the other hand, Badmash has the Pakjabi powerstructure under him, so when he gets power, he may try to actually take control of the reins. This makes him a threat. Of course, all this is just conjecture.

Further, the bakis may believe that a military govt in bakiland is best-suited when there is a non-kongi govt in Dhesh. Now, when Bakiland has only one purpose of being anti-dhesh, its politics would also be dependent on the politics of dhesh. So, whenever there is a hawkish(anyone who doesn't indulge the bakis maybe seen as hawkish) govt in dhesh, bakis may prefer a coup in bakiland. But, this time, it seems that the opinion is divided among the army itself due to various factors.

1. I'm not leaving, Nawaz tells army chief
ISLAMABAD: As protests in Islamabad seemingly slip out of the government’s control, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif’s met at the PM House on Monday to discuss the political crisis.
According to sources, the embattled Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif informed army chief General Raheel Sharif that he will not resign in the wake of protests by Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
2. Islamabad protests: News of army chief asking Nawaz to resign totally baseless, says ISPR
ISLAMABAD: Fierce clashes erupted between law-enforcers and protesters in Islamabad late Saturday night as protesters attempted to march towards the Prime Minister House.
Tear-gas and rubber bullets have been used by police, while protesters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) have responded with pelting stones.

How many maulanas at this Jirga think that:

1.) this is a back-handed coup by TSPA,
2.) TuQ-TuQ was Plan A (promoted by "retired/renegades" in TSPA),
3.) D'Immy was Plan B promoted by serving officers of TSPA (in case Plan A failed),
4.) In recent hours, due to hardlining by el-sharief, both Plan A and B have been merged to create an environment of further chaos (I wonder how one can tell the difference),
5.) Leading to the 3.5 friends asking, in the next day or two, for TSPA to step in "temporarily" until "normalcy" is restored.
6.) El-sharief takes off for al-barbaria, D'immy takes off for el-londonistan and TuQ-TuQ is back in the warm embrace of the Canucks.
7.) Ten more years of "peace in our times".

Conspiracy theory?

Not wanting to be left out in the cold in this TSPA-managed tamasha, Supreme Court of Pajamistan asks party-goers What role can court play
Displeased with the violence on Constitution Avenue, the Supreme Court on Monday asked the protesting parties what role they want the apex court to play in the ongoing crisis. This was said by a larger bench during the hearing of a plea against extra-constitutional steps and sit-ins in the heart of Islamabad.
“What do you think… what is happening [on Constitution Avenue] — is this any different from any insurgency happening in FATA?”

Finally some good news. More investments in key sectors of the baki economy are around the corner. WB okays $47.95m to help improve nutrition status
The preliminary findings of the 2011 National Nutrition Survey revealed that the rates of child stunting have not changed in Pakistan since 1965.
Pakistan has high rates of child malnutrition, with 44 percent of children being stunted and 22 percent severely stunted,” World Bank said.
Half of the children under five in Balochistan (52 percent) and in Sindh (50 percent) were stunted and these rates have worsened in these two provinces since 2001. Likewise, almost half (48 percent) of children in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and 39 percent of children under five years in Punjab are stunted.

If Sharif has asked Sharief to resign, then it is bad news for the Sharif because it would be reminiscent of 1999. If Sharief asked Sharif to go, it is a repeat of 1993.

The bottom line is that there is a precedent in Pakistan for everything happening today.

Qadri asks supporters not to allow PM to flee
Aaj Naa Chorrenge Tumko Sharifu, Khelnge Hum Hollie, Uttaar Ke Teri Cholli.Chahe roke Saudi Arabia, Chahe DC Se Angela Jolie
ISLAMABAD – Claiming victory of the ‘Revolution March and ‘Azadi March’, Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri said on Monday that they were in control of the entire Pakistan Secretariat and gate of the Prime Minister House and only formal announcement was to be made.
Addressing activists from his container, the PAT chief said that they had won the war with peaceful protests and announced that the PAT and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf would not provide coffin for the rule of Sharif’s. He said that when females of the protest gave sacrifices, the movement achieved its objectives. He said that his workers were in control of the two gates of Prime Minister House and asked them not to allow him to flee. Tahirul Qadri demanded the formation of the national government which must carry out reforms, give rights and justice to the people. He asked the workers of the PAT and the PTI to remain peaceful and not to damage the symbols of state and accept the orders of the Pakistan army. Earlier there were clashes between the police and the protestors as both the sides freely indulged in pelting of stones and firing of tear gas shells. After the clash, as the massive crowd of people started moving towards Pakistan Secretariat, the police suddenly withdrew and did not stop the marchers from entering into different blocks of the Secretariat. They further went ahead and gathered outside the gate of Prime Minister House. The containers of Dr Tahirul Qadri and PTI chief Imran Khan remained in front of the cabinet block just only a few meters away from each other.

Religious Minorities In Islamic Pakistan Struggle But Survive Amid Increasing Persecution
The problem isn't limited to Christians. All religious minorities in Pakistan face daily reminders of their plight, including discriminatory laws, forced conversions, and bombs and shootings aimed at minority-sect Muslims, such as Shiites and Ahmadis. According to human rights groups, public school textbooks regularly demonize minorities and emphasize the nation's Islamic roots over contributions from people of other faiths. Labor studies have shown minorities stuck on the lower rung of the economy, often working as servants, sweepers and day laborers. Newspapers occasionally report on businesses that deny non-Muslim customers. handful of minority leaders are now speaking internationally in the media and through religious and human rights organizations. They hope diplomatic pressure from the U.S. -- a strident political ally and source of aid to the nation -- and global religious leaders can strengthen the climate for minorities here. A more tolerant Pakistan, they say, would translate into another goal for many: less tolerance for terrorists.
"The same people who have declared the West to be their enemy are the ones who have declared non-Muslims and even Shiite Muslims here to be the same," said Michelle Chaudhry, the founder of the Cecil and Iris Chaudhry Foundation, a Pakistani nonprofit that focuses on promoting interfaith cooperation and education for non-Muslims. "As terrorism has gotten worse since Sept. 11, so has the situation among minorities."It used to be different. Before British colonial India was partitioned into India and Pakistan in 1947, more than one-fifth of the population of what would become Pakistan was non-Muslim. Most fled to India during the creation of the Muslim state, though largely peaceful relations among faiths continued during Pakistan's early decades. But in 1978, the nation began a 10-year process of "Islamization" under military dictator Zia-ul-Haq. He pushed to convert secular laws into religious ones, installing Sharia courts and enacting anti-blasphemy statutes. Through the 1990s and 2000s, conservative Islamic movements gained cultural and political sway, subverting the region's historically more open approach to faith, including non-Islamic traditions.Today, religious minorities total just 9 million among 183 million Pakistanis. The biggest groups are Christians and Hindus, each of which accounts for less than 2 percent of the population. Smaller are the numbers of Sikhs, Zoroastrians, Buddhists, Bahá'ís, Jews and Ahmadi Muslims. Shiite Muslims make up about a quarter of Pakistanis, but they, too, find themselves increasingly persecuted by dominating Sunni factions.
