Aww crap. I was happy that Bakistans name was tarnished and one less Baki for Germany to worry about, but he is a Balochi guy and it makes me sadFalijee wrote:" Wrongly Caught " Baluchi In Berlin Attack Now Fears For His Life !
Man wrongly arrested over Berlin attack says he fears for his life
Naveed Baloch was crossing a road in central Berlin on the evening of 19 December, having just left a friend’s house. He was halfway over it when, seeing a car heading towards him, he increased his speed. “I then realised it was a police car. I stopped when they beckoned to me, and showed them all the ID had on me.” Wrong man at the wrong place, at the wrong time !

Hasn't the whole world 'experienced' Pakistan?
One Reader Comments :PESHAWAR: The flow of foreign direct investment into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remained zero during the last three and a half years tenure of the PTI-led government as the province relied on loans, foreign assistance and federal receipts. ( Province begs from Fed Govt ; Fed Govt begs from world !)Adviser to the chief minister on information Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani told a news conference here on Wednesday that FDI didn’t come to the province during the last three and a half years due to the delicate security situation and bad governance.
So, now, that was the reason why he went quietly without creating a fuss or mounting a coup. Have the Saudis done a favour to Nawaaz or is it the other way around or both true ?Pakistan's former army chief General (retd) Raheel Sharif is expected to be appointed defence advisor of a Saudi Arabia-led military alliance of 39 countries, according to a media report.
Sharif, who arrived in Saudi Arabia as a royal guest in a special plane, will attend a grand reception being hosted in his honour in Riyadh, the capital of the kingdom, The New International reported.
The reception will also be attended by the members of the Royal family.
Sharif, who retired as the army chief last month, is expected to be appointed defence advisor of Saudi Arabia-led military alliance, the paper said.
The Joint Command Centre, headquarters of the military alliance, is located in Riyadh.
The Saudi-led coalition, involving several Arab nations, launched a military operation in Yemen in March 2015 after Houthis drove out the government led by President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi, who is believed to be in exile in Saudi Arabia.
According to Saudi Arabia, the alliance is formed to fight ISIS and other militant outfits.
At the time of its constitution, there were 34 countries in the alliance which has raised to 39.
The countries include Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Tunisia, Sudan, Malaysia, Egypt, Yemen and others.
So, looks like the paki dude got himself a new job. On the upside, he may get to be a Field Marshal; on the downside, if the Saudis want to go to a war, will FM sahib agree to send his fellow pakis for some Momin-on-Momin action? What if pakis in Isloo refuse to join?SSridhar wrote:Pakistan's former army chief Raheel Sharif may have a bigger job now - PTISo, now, that was the reason why he went quietly without creating a fuss or mounting a coup. The Saudis have no other option. Their Generals are absolutely useless as are their foot soldiers. The only decent guys they can get are from Pakistan. They started an unwinnable war and want somebody to extricate them without loss of face. This shows that the days when the Saudis had limitless leverage with Pakistan are coming to an end. That's why the list of 3½ Friends needs to be reconstituted.Paul wrote:Raheel was the one who declined to deploy his Paki sepoys to oust the Houthis in Yemen. http://www.thefridaytimes.com/tft/nugge ... press-170/Lord Nazir, member of the British House of Lords, addressing Punjab University students, said that Pakistani people have supported the Kashmir cause but he has one complaint with Pakistani politicians. He said Pakistan should also support Sikh separatist movements in India. He went on to say that Pakistan needed to mount an adequate response to Modi’s threat to close off water supplies, or else they really would be closed down.
The leverage US has over Pakis is economical (direct aid, and loans / aid through IMF, WB, etc), military (weapons, spares, training to fauji,), cultural (almost all Paki VIPs have their wards studying or working in either US or UK or Australia), social (most Paki elite have strings that can be pulled by the culinary institute of america) and global influence (UN, various global forums). Pakis do have some leverage over USA - by their control over land access to Afghanistan, by their control over various terror groups of interest to US, especially certain Taliban factions.SSridhar wrote: The Saudis have no other option. Except that the uncle never meant it as a gift. He wanted the nephew to return the cost with a high rate of interest. The nephew, right from the beginning, had no such intention. He had also cheated a few, including another dada, and was confident that the uncle needed him more than he needed his uncle. The uncle was well aware of the duplicitous nature of his nephew too because it runs in the genes of both, being part of the same family. He has also planned to handle his own nephew in the same way he very successfully handled other clients of his pawn-broking business, seize their properties.Falijee wrote: I liken CPEC to a rich uncle (China ) deciding to gift a basic (no frill )new Toyota or a Honda car to his ("not so well off") nephew ( Pakistan ) on his 25th birthday. . . . .
Why do we have to depend on third nation to act on our behalf? scaring China by arming Vietnam can only go so much, if we have to arm Vietnam against China so be it, research too is welcome plan. But we MUST act on Tibet, more importantly, PoK, We need it back, this will bring CPEC to a close, TSP, Russia and China are coming together in Afg, PoK action will also divert TSP attention. PoK MUST be retaken.GShankar wrote:Question has always been - "what will we do about it?".
China also realizes that Modi is in a spot of political bother due to demo and the govt. may not be all that focussed on foreign policy at this point.
Time to land LCA in Vietnam I'd say. Let's have a 2nd line of LCA in vietnam. If we have to bankroll russian R&D then may be Vietnam (and others) can bankroll our R&D.
Bhasha Dam, Peshawar-Karachi railway line, Karachi Circular Railways approved; Keti Bandar, special economic zones, three energy projects in Sindh added to project; Orange Line trains for all provincial capitals
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and China have formally approved to include ML-1 Peshawar-Karachi railway line project and some infrastructure projects in the framework of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), jacking up its overall size from $46 billion to $54 billion (approx Rs5,700 billion) as well as establishing eight industrial estates located in all the four provinces and special areas, including Fata, AJK, Gilgit-Baltistan and Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).
CheersHe said that one proof of success of CPEC is that today think tanks from all over the world, including America, Canada and Europe, are doing research to analyse the impact of CPEC in the region. The minister maintained that CPEC had added more value to the friendship of China and Pakistan. CPEC had become the north star of friendship between China and Pakistan, making the friendship even higher than skies.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and China on Thursday decided to make water security a part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) framework amid threats by India to review its position on the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty. The decision to exploit full hydel potential of Pakistan was taken during the sixth meeting of the Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) of the CPEC which was held in Beijing. The JCC is the highest policy making forum of the CPEC.The JCC also decided, in principle, to make the mass transit projects of all four provinces part of the CPEC. These projects will be formally made part of the CPEC after their financial and technical vetting by Working Group on Transport in February next year. For development of hydroelectric projects on the Indus River, particularly construction of the Diamer-Bhasha dam, the JCC on Thursday constituted a group, said Planning and Development Minister Ahsan Iqbal after the meeting. The planning ministry released the video of his statement.“Pakistan may face a very severe water crisis and for economic and food security of the country, the immediate construction of Diamer-Bhasha is crucial,” he said. If the Diamer-Bhasha dam becomes part of the CPEC, it will be a landmark achievement, he added. For more than two decades, Pakistan has been trying to construct the Diamer-Bhasha dam that has an estimated cost of $14 billion. Due to opposition by India, both the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank have refused to lend money under one pretext or another. After the rise in tensions along the Line of Control (LoC) in recent months, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi had threatened to cut Pakistan’s water supply. He has managed to influence the WB that recently paused the process of playing mediator, which it is bound to play under the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty, according to experts on the accord. Chinese help to secure Pakistan’s water rights will be seen as a major development, according to them. The Indus River is a source of more than 17 gigawatts of hydropower capacity in India and Pakistan and feeds the Indus Basin Irrigation System, the largest contiguous irrigation network in the world. Pakistan is particularly dependent on the Indus, as more than 90% of its agricultural production comes from this basin.

Arming countries not the same you say, but that is the core of foreign policy of all western states. In fact it is the same. The difference is pakistan is already filled with pakis where as in other places your first create pakis and give them weapons. You can see that this is what is happening w.r.t to naxals, IM, etc. within India.venug wrote:Arming countries is not the same. TSP is anyone's bitch, all it needs is someone who can arm and fund it perpetually to fight against India. China is leveraging this hatred. Secondly TSP is a irrational country, it's hate for India has consumed it. Are you suggesting Vietnam will do the same and do our bidding to draw your analogy?
What better opportune moment than this to retake PoK? you arm Vietnam to form an opportunity to retake PoK ? I don't know how.
Say tomorrow CPEC gets completed and more nations do participate and be part of CPEC (this is a hypothetical situation, not arguing this will happen) using Indian territory, if so how easy is it to wrest PoK from TSP given that TSP/China will protect CPEC and possibly more nations might support TSP to protect it's/their interests? how then strategically Aligning with Vietnam will deter China from it's OBOR/CPEC plans?
True. We need to up the ante to call their bluff.Prem wrote:China will use every ingredient to induce insecurity in Paki & 2 offer solace in lap to become Mai Baap and Paki need daily doze of Afeem from Chin-Raheem & Kareem to protect itself from getting raped on Tri-ends.GShankar wrote:It is upto us w.r.t how we look at this.
