Interestingly, The BC report assumes an annual population growth rate of 1.9 per cent to reach their forecast of 266m pakis by 2030. This is what Kaiser Bengali has to say about pakis fudging population growth data:
High performance figures were also managed by what was apparently the manipulation of data. Post-1998 population census, the population growth rate was estimated at 2.5 per cent, based on the 1981-1998 inter-census growth. However, the population growth rate was arbitrarily reduced to two per cent in 2004, to 1.9 per cent in 2005 and to 1.8 per cent in 2007.

Given that no census had been carried out after 1998, there was no basis for concluding that the population growth rate had declined. The motive for depressing population growth figures emanated from the desire to show enhanced per capita income, i.e. average national income.
http://dawn.com/2013/04/02/the-bubble-that-burst/

If we were to assume that the growth rate remained at around 2.5 per cent (as at the 1998 census), we are looking at 300 m pakis by 2030.

Britain threatens to chop foreign aid for Pakistan
Whitehall officials urged the Pakistan government to raise more of its own revenue and stop allowing 99 per cent of the country’s citizens to avoid paying income tax altogether.

Britain’s soaring hand-outs to the country – set to become the biggest recipient of UK aid – remained “under review”, officials said in a strongly-worded statement.

The row erupted after claims that £300million of aid from the UK was being used to “make friends and influence people” in an election campaign.

Provocative slogans and announcements through loud speakers made the situation worse and the police used aerial firing to control the situation.

Congratulations to all Paklurks on the historic completion of the first democratic term of government, and looking forward to an enthu election in May!

Poll: Pakistani Youth Disenchanted with Democracy
A larger number of young Pakistanis believe the country should be governed by Islamic law or military rule rather than democracy, according to a survey released Wednesday, weeks before historic national elections.

Pakistan is scheduled to hold parliamentary elections on May 11 — the first transition between democratically elected governments in a country that has experienced three military coups and constant political instability since its creation in 1947. The parliament’s ability to complete its five-year term has been hailed as a significant achievement.

But a survey by the British Council found that young Pakistanis — defined as those between the ages of 18 and 29 — have grown more pessimistic about the future over this period, as the country has struggled with a weak economy, high inflation, pervasive energy shortages and a deadly Taliban insurgency.

About 94 percent of young Pakistanis believe the country is going in the wrong direction, compared with 86 percent in 2009, the study found. Less than a quarter believe democracy has benefited themselves or their families.

Given these figures, it is perhaps not surprising to find relatively low levels of support for democracy among the youth. Only 29 percent of young Pakistanis believe democracy is the best political system for the country, according to the poll.

A few days after a suicide attack targeting an FC commander in Peshawar killed 12 people, militants have struck in the city again, this time, with an attack on a grid station that claimed seven lives. The attack also caused a power outage in the city and the tribal areas. This attack could signal a terrifying new front in the militant war against the state. By targeting infrastructure, the Taliban would be able to bring life to a complete halt. Power plants, bridges, sewage tunnels and other important parts of daily life that we take for granted could end up being the next target :D of militants.

Pakistan's Ambitious Program To Re-Educate Militants
That explains why the Pakistani army decided to make Swat ground zero for a quiet experiment: a little-known program aimed at re-educating thousands of young men who were taken in by the Taliban.
The two campuses are like vocational schools for jihadis — only with high walls, barbed wire and armed guards.

Zeshan takes me into an electronics class — it looks like a high school science lab, all electrical meters and alligator clips {you can guess what they will do with this knowledge}. A computer lab has rows of flat-screen PCs.

"We teach them very basic things, like how to use MS-Word and things like that," Zeshan says. I ask if they go on the Internet, and Zeshan looks surprised, saying, "Yes, of course." {and they add to the count of bakis searching for camel se* and all other po*n}
There are different theories on how to re-educate violent jihadis and an even greater number of doubts about whether reverse indoctrination actually works. In Saudi Arabia, a 12-step program includes art therapy and helping young men find a job and a wife :rotfl: . In Singapore, jihadis are taught less violent interpretations of the Quran   .

Why Poaq Army wont give up Hapig Saeid
The security establishment of Pakistan categorizes militant threats into three spheres: 1) Groups that are threat to Pakistan only, 2) Groups that are threat to both Pakistan and the United States, 3) Groups that are a threat to only the United States, India, or any other country. Hafiz Saeed, for Pakistan, falls into the third category
Saeed is increasingly looked upon by the security establishment as a key figure who will, after the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, mobilize the armed militants from different factions
Hafiz Saeed is a perfect mix of what the establishment requires: an anti-Indian down to the bone, a patriot in the sense that he would not rise up against the Pakistani state

Asserting their Arap origins.

BTW - the main reason for Pakistan's failure is that they drink water from Indus, which flows from the biggest Shivaling in the world, the Himalayas. Who is shiva? He saved Moon (Yes the Islamic Cresent) from Tuberculosis (check Daksha Yajnam story).

No wonder Allah is pissed off with Pakis.

To become the lovers of Allah, Pakis should stop drinking or using Indus water. Instead they should live off of Arabian Sea (this is what Allah gave Muslims of subcontinent).

Until they do that, they will go thru these problems.

Hina Is Also Done For General seat
LAHORE - Former Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar is less likely to contest on a general seat from Muzaffargarh, it has been learnt. According to PPP sources, she would be allocated one of the National Assembly seats reserved for women instead. Though she has filed the nomination papers from NA-177, a constituency she had won in 2008 elections, but she is likely to withdraw in favour of her father, Ghulam Rabbani Khar who is also in the run from the same constituency. He had not contested 2008 elections because the graduation clause of the constitution then applied to the contestants. Two main reasons are being stated for Rabbani Khar’s decision not to contest from her home constituency. One is Amjad Dasti factor who has announced to oppose her tooth and nail during the upcoming polls to settle scores with the former foreign minister who, according to him, had squeezed his political space through frequent interference in political work. It is feared that Dasti may indulge in political mud-slinging by levelling baseless allegations against Ms Khar. The second reason for her staying out of contest is stated to be her little contact with the voters during the last five years which may deprive her of the seat. “The PPP cannot afford to lose this seat and this is the reason that she would be asked to withdraw her nomination papers to make room for his :-? father,” said the sources

Milla Nahi ZamZam,Miskeen Paki Maange Indus Ka Kuffar Pani
Track II and water
Pakistan and India have resumed Track II talks in Singapore, according to reports appearing in the Held Kashmir press, where secret talks have been held between diplomats and military officers of the two countries. The talks went on for two days and ended without any joint statement, or any agreement, beyond an accord to meet again. The holding of the talks show that Pakistan has not given up on Indian goodwill, though it had a very practical demonstration of it by India’s refusal to obey the decision of the international court when it refused to amend the designs for the Kishenganga project, thus disobeying its own solemn treaty agreements under the Indus Waters Treaty and continuing its theft of Pakistan’s share of the Indus waters duly granted to it under the treaty. A letter about this refusal to obey the treaty was sent by the Pakistani Indus Waters Commissioner to the Indian High Commissioner, which also warned that if India did not change its attitude, the matter might have to be referred to neutral experts. It said that Pakistan could not endanger its interests. With India apparently not satisfied with the Kashmir dispute as a barrier to peace with Pakistan, it has gone ahead with its water terrorism, using water from the disputed territory to convert Pakistan into a desert. Under these circumstances, Islamabad is hardly justified in its supine participation in the USA-driven bid to reconcile with India, which includes the latest Track II effort, just as it did the previous ones.
It hardly needs pointing out that if the Kashmir issue was resolved according to the will of the Kashmiri people, the water dispute would disappear, because India would lose its ability to do what it wanted with the headwaters of the Indus. Therefore, if the only purpose of the Track II process is to make Indian hegemony acceptable to Pakistan, there is no purpose in continuing it. This is aside from the fact that Track II diplomacy is not right in principle. First, diplomacy should be left to the diplomats. Second, any agreement will not have official sanction: neither do the interlocutors have any official authority to commit their country nor reliable channels to the real decision-makers. The attempt by Pakistan to talk to revive a channel which has failed in the past will only be used by India to argue that Pakistan is not serious about the water dispute

Pak poll: Musharraf hasn’t paid tax for 3 years
Former military ruler General Pervez Musharraf (retd) owns assets worth Rs 645 million in and outside Pakistan, but has not paid any tax at least for the past three years.

According to the nomination papers submitted to contest elections from NA-48 Islamabad, Musharraf’s income increased by Rs 129 million during 2012.

Media reports, however, claimed that the former dictator has not declared some of his known assets and cash deposits in foreign banks that run into billions. He has also not given the source of his huge assets which his detractors believe include commission on arms imports.

The former President did not pay a penny in tax during the past three years - his nomination papers showed the tax column as blank.

In the Islamic Republic of Pakistan there is no such thing as a “secular” parliamentarian. Each and every parliamentarian has the constitutional obligation to accept the primacy of Mohammadden ideology:
Opponents of Islamic ideology face election ban

Ansar Abbasi

From Print Edition

ISLAMABAD: A considerable number of former members of the parliament, senior politicians and lawyers etc, who openly negate and oppose the Islamic ideology of Pakistan, are vulnerable to be declared unfit to contest the upcoming polls.

It is not only the article 62 of the constitution but the nomination paper of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) that bounds every aspirant of the parliament and provincial assemblies to respect, protect and preserve the Islamic ideology.

The constitution and the nomination paper make it clear that the Islamic ideology has been the very basis for the creation of Pakistan. According to article 62(g) a person is not qualified to become member of the parliament/provincial assembly if “he has not, after the establishment of Pakistan, worked against the integrity of the country or opposed the ideology of Pakistan”.

The nomination paper seeks from every candidate to solemnly swear that: “I will be faithful to the declaration made by the Founder of Pakistan Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah that Pakistan would be a democratic state based on Islamic principles of social justice. I will bear true faith and allegiance to Pakistan and uphold the sovereignty and integrity of Pakistan and that I will strive to preserve the Islamic ideology which is the basis for the creation of Pakistan.”

Although in the past those negating the Islamic ideology of Pakistan have been penetrating into the parliament, now any voter could challenge the qualification of any candidate who is known or have publicly made any statement against the Islamic ideology of Pakistan. …………………………
