congress has nominated Ajai Rai for Varanasi
his abysmally dismal history on wekey or else where will not tell ye all the following
he is the brother of late Don Awadesh Rai, the elder rai was assassinated right in front of his house while junior
rai hid himself in the bathroom along with 3, 9mm pistals and 315 bore telescopic rifle all were loaded.

once when the senior rai was alive me and few friends had a scuffle with junior we had opposed his whistling to PYTs in front
of girls school thrashed him thoroughly and he never was seen there again.

Something is up for sure in WB. EC transferring officials midway is par for the course. Its kinda hard to believe that an experienced election machinery such as that of the TMC would be overly dependent on a few officers. I'm sure they have backup plans. So who is egging MB on? It can't be that her temper has got the better of her at this hour and its become an ego fight. If elections are postponed now, then post Modiji coming to power, more seats will go to NDA. TMC has its best chance now.

Congress hints at Sharad Pawar-Narendra Modi secret pact in Maharashtra http://indiatoday.intoday.in/story/cong ... 53484.html
Is there a tacit understanding between BJP's prime ministerial nominee Narendra Modi and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar in Maharashtra? Well, at least Modi's rally schedule in the state suggests so.

Despite the fact that the BJP and NCP are in direct contest in seven of the 48 seats, Modi is conspicuous by his absence in these constituencies.

"Going by Modi's itinerary, it seems he is not targeting the NCP with the same intensity with which he is targeting the Congress. Is that a coincidence? As far as I know politicians do not leave anything to chance," a Congress leader said on the condition of anonymity.

proper investigations have to be done on various crooks and the guilty brought to book.
we have friendly relations with most nations .

I feel UK will be the only safe refuge for any rats leaving their ship because that country revels in denying extradition requests for crimes committed in india under various sickular/white mans burden grounds.
if any crooks cannot be brought back, the next best is their empire must be ground to dust here and dust scattered into the ganges. all assets left behind must be seized and auctioned.

and their passports cancelled ofcourse with a interpol notice out.

Firstpost ‏@firstpostin 1h

Secular parties are dividing the Muslim vote, uniting castes http://dlvr.it/5LWtzT
In many constituencies where the Muslim vote matters in the battleground states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, which is where the BJP's fate will be decided, there is more than one "secular" claimant for the Muslim vote.

...
Another report, this time in The Economic Times, says the Muslim vote in western Uttar Pradesh is headed towards the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) of Mayawati, while in Bihar Chirag Paswan, son of LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan, may win if the Muslims divide their vote between Lalu Prasad’s RJD and Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal(U). A second Express report today confirms this theory that the Bihari Muslim is torn between Nitish Kumar, who sacrificed his alliance with BJP over Modi, and the RJD-Congress alliance, which did nothing for Muslims but appears to be more viable than stranded Nitish Kumar. Muslims would have liked to stand by Nitish, but he cannot defeat the BJP. So their vote could be split, helping the BJP.

These anecdotal and on-the-ground reports suggest that Modi’s key role has been to break the caste barrier even while opening up the divide for the “secular” vote to flow to many parties.

...
By creating so many rivals to himself in so many parties, Modi has inadvertently and effectively divided rather than united the opposition against him. And an opposition united against him has effectively divided the Muslim vote.

...
The secular parties will clearly be to blame if the Muslim vote fragments this time. The reality is that over the last few decades they have managed to do little for the minorities even while irritating the so-called majority by appearing to pander to minority sentiment. The optics of the secular parties’ actions were pro-minority, but the reality was pro-majority.

The secular parties have thus achieved the impossible: erased the caste divide to push more Hindus towards Modi, and pissed off the Muslims so much that they now are forced to either vote for those they wanted to teach a lesson, or divide their vote and make Modi’s win a certainty.

What a dilemma to be in.

The new news channel should be modeled on BRF. Very civil but to the point debates, no nonsense news, education about internal and border security, dedicated programs on indic values, not hesitant to call spade a spade i.e. gora and brown sahibs, strong flavor of nationalism, some funny shows like humor thread, some dedicated shows for whining...

In fact BRF should start its own channel :)

Especially true for Euro-US return junta. They tap contacts in US/EU to get social/third-world aid avenues and also use the Gora-association tag to grant credibility to desi-NGOs. A well-oiled interconnection network.

Absolutely, the BJP vote bank watches the sickular media because it has no choice. A channel sympathetic to BJP and shows a different POV will garner at least 25% viewer ship automatically. The rest of the channels should be starved any govt. ad revenue.

If I might ask, the voting trends on Monday - some have suggested better performance for BJP. How strong is the evidence ? What I am wary of is those who desire the party's victory being slightly biased in assessments.

Well, in Assam the BJP is conducting meetings in many areas, some inaccessible up in hills without roads and this is giving positive results. Our house help (Assamese Hindus) said they never vote because of the trouble but after the meeting, they will vote for BJP. They finally woke up and realized that their way of life is in danger of extinction. In general, high turnouts in past Assam lok sabha polls have been indicative of or caused by a wave of some kind and been anti-incumbency.

The only evidence is noticeably higher voter turnout, which I posted data for, hours ago. There is and will be no other 'evidence', just anecdotes and conjectures to explain the high turnout and what it may imply. Actual evidence will only be available on May 16th, with more feelers after May 12 with exit polls can be released.
