Serious question. Is anyone monitoring the craft? Or does it not need any more monitoring? Everyone out there at mission control is celebrating and standing away from their stations.

Western space agencies have a joke about the Great Galactic Ghoul who lives between Earth and Mars and who eats space probes, causing the high failure rate for Mars missoons. Turns out the Ghoul is no match for SDRE vibhuti power!

Sir -
Many people in this forum are technically well aware of this Mars mission, the involved sequences & the science behind it. DD is not catering for this group through its coverage.
Many CBSE & other state board schools have actually asked their students to come and watch the TV coverage at their facility (even though it is currently puja holidays/quarterly holidays in some states).
So most of DD coverage & its content would be aimed at students, youth, layman and etc - who need to understand what is happening and get inspired about it. Some schools have also prepared related information (about Mars, its orbital information , the path from earth and etc, history of other vehicles/orbiters sent to Mars & other planets in our system) to be presented around this event.
Congrats to ISRO & every one involved for this great achievement of theirs !
