Perhaps, we are seeing the international manifestation of the constant propaganda against the RSS over the last 7 plus decades.
Alternatively, an organisation which is connected with the group level workers and has the foot print that RSS has. It represents a clear and present danger to Islamic expansionism in India. It also represents a path forward for indigenous people in terms of resisting totalitarian systems.

I wouldn't worry too much. Most Indians (other than the South Bombay / South Delhi / JNU / TISS types) are only a single incident away from a communal riot. And when $hit hits the fan they all know which side the bread is buttered. They know who's coming to their aid and who isn't.
Take Gujarat for example. Since the 2002 riots (a naked display of Muslim extremism, and victim card playing by the left media for over 20 years), has the population paid any heed to the constant media narrative? No - they voted for the BJP with their heads and their personal memories of the train burning incident. That's not to say the BJP is invincible...anti incumbency is very powerful and will ultimately take it's toll...until the next terror attack or communal riot.
Even Tamil Nadu voted for the BJP in large numbers post the rioting following the stabbing of constable Selvan and the subsequent riots and Coimbatore bomb blasts
Educated bengalis (I am half a bengali, so no finger pointing pls) tend to have a death wish. Decades of left wing 'secular' education has denuded the state of any economic prospects, and has brought upon massive demographic change. But they refuse to see the reality and form a large part of the left wing media & so called secular intelligentsia. Most of the anti-Modi venom spews from this cohort of people. Perhaps the lack of any strong ritualized prayers & tradition of temple visiting & guru/sishya relationships has contributed to this effect. My own co-brother is a great example. But rest assured the storm is coming. Demographics is destiny. People who forget the past are condemned to repeat it

Now that the great Indian rape trick is in the news again, it is time to briefly examine media coverage. The premier paper, of record, in 2023 published the following:
India has laws against rape; seats reserved for women in buses, female officers; special police help lines. But these measures have been ineffective in the face of a patriarchal and misogynistic culture.
The NYT has been very The Child-Rape Assembly Line the issue of rape as culture in India.
It has held a nuanced and Solomonic view of cultures that sexually abuse and exploit the defenseless.
No Religious Exemption When It Comes to Abuse, commenting that ... the truth is, there are not two kinds of religions — the enlightened and the medieval. Every religion has evildoers stalking its corridors. They just survive, and thrive, with different strategies.
Take Zen Buddhism, the paragon of open, nonhierarchical spirituality. Anyone may practice Zen meditation; you do not have to convert, be baptized or renounce your old religion. Yet leaders of major Zen centers in Los Angeles and New York have recently been accused, on strong evidence, of exploiting followers for sex. This weekend, Zen teachers ordained by Joshu Sasaki, the semiretired abbot of the Rinzai-ji Zen Center in Los Angeles, are holding a retreat to discuss sexual harassment accusations against Mr. Sasaki. The Zen Studies Society, in New York, is under new leadership after its longtime abbot, Eido Shimano, was forced out after he was accused of inappropriate sexual liaisons with students and other women.
However, also in 2013 Vice magazine published a slightly more intelligent synopsis of child rape in Jewish culture, right in the NYT backyard of New York. Of course NYT is seen as a Jewish paper.
