Seriously though Assange hinted at exposing collusion between Google and US government some time last October , other that that your guess is as good as mine but 2017 will be interesting times.

^^ Not sure of watergate but its a perfect Trap Obama has sent for Trump

If he accepts current administration Intelligence Assesment led by DNI Clapper that Russians were involved in the Hacks to support his campaign then it would be like Delegitimising his Win as a Genuine one partially atleast and Democrats can for the next 4 years say look Hillary Lost because Russians hackers helped Trump.

If he does not accept the Intelligence Assesment partially or fully , Obama can says Trump does not trust American Intelligence Assesment that Russians hacked and even many in Rep Part agree to that assesment much less Dem that would create a Rift between US Intelligence Community and Trump Administration and Trump ver Rep

Obama has smartly made sure the report comes just 2 weeks before he leaves office to delegitimises the new President.

DNI Chief Clapper even goes on to say Assange is not Credible

This is not that hard. Any child can ask: Aren't you the oiseules who swore up and down that Saddam was about to use WMD? How many thousands of American soldiers are dead, how many tens of thousands disabled, how many hundreds of thousands with PTSD because of you morons? Why should ANYONE believe you?

This is basically what KellyAnn Conway said (much nicer) at the outset on these things. And oh! yeah, it was a Republican administration then, but the point is that these "Intel" chiefs lied then to tell the POTUS what he wanted to hear, and they are lying now to tell the POTUS what he wanted to hear.

Wait another 20 days and they'll be singing a completely different tune. Or if they testify now, they'll be retired then.

well the intel babus are civil servants. in bushmeister's time the forces of darkness (aka neocons) basically told everyone that they were going to invade 7 countries and do regime change and JFDI - so babuloge did that to keep el presidente happy

as I said before the Russians have not exactly hidden their intent at destabilising their 'enemies' by non-violent means. I think they didn't expect to score so big in the heart of the great satan - through relatively small actions (note - they didn't even have to rig the ballot, just spread doubt). putin is waiting to see which way trump will go before putting phase 2 into action. if trump plays ball then he will be all smiles. if trump does not play ball then chaddi's will be utaro'ed. if there is nothing below chaddi, something will be alleged...

we live in interesting times

Hahahaha......Seriously though if Russian Intelligence were so Powerful Putin would have been really happy.

I mean the same Russian Intelligence could not prevent the fall of Viktor Yanukovych in 2014 in Ukraine and rise of Mikheil Saakashvili at their own backyard and they ended up fighting a military batter with both country recently

What Russian did was provided a positive coverage to Trump that is for sure after watching RT during election campaigne , They also gave coverage to Wikileaks/Podesta emails that nailed Hillary. That sort of coverage is no different than what CNN , BBC , Guardian and the entire Western MSM does for Putin all the time.

As far as DNC Hack Goes its any bodys guess who could have hacked his email but for the man who keeps his email password as "password" he has to take the blame for lacking common sense.

Obama does not want to accept the fact that He could not carry his legacy forward with loss of Hillary , In that he suffered double loss he could not make Hillary Win and his pet Obama care thing now looks going down the drain which was suppose to be his legacy , He cant accept its his fault nor will Hillary Accept any wrong doing inspite of all the exposure by Podesta Email ...they are looking for a scapegoat to save their face and Russian Intelligence is a convinient story for them.....They want to put Donald Trump Legitimacy as Fairly elected President in Doubt

Like UlanBatori said come the new President the Intel would reflect what he wants to hear

the Russian intelligence game is not the same as it used to be. they don't have to be good, they just have to create ambiguity and chaos... a free society does the rest - they have figured out how to make the system turn on itself. that is the master stroke

they tested and refined these tactics in the Ukraine, then in the Baltics. brexit was their first major success.. I don't think they expected to do so well in the US

if you look around, a number of countries are starting to create government agencies/departments to start dealing with 'false news' - the Czech's being a recent example... and their PM loves Putin

this is the new cold war - we need to look at it carefully

This is exactly correct. In addition in 2013 Clapper had testified in to a senate committee that the US was NOT collecting ANY data on hundreds of millions of persons in the US. He knew it was a lie, senate Republicans too knew this was a lie, but everybody winked and nodded.

DT must ask Clapper to turn in his resignation on Jan 20th or be fired. The intel community is not to be believed and there needs to be house cleaning.

Fortunately for GOP fellows, they have notice that their emails can be leaked and if they have any brains, they will be careful what they write on emails. Obomber and his Alt-left gang failed to get mandate not just in 2016 but during 2010,2012,2014 in the legislative side and lost many states - both legislative or governor positions. It all can not be attributed to the Russians and wiki leaks. In fact had the Dems put any reasonably pro-economic growth policy and candidate in 2016 I am sure DT would have been hard pressed to break the so-called blue wall.

The leaks damage you if the material leaking is bad and can be used to the damage you. If the leak is on what happened to, say during Nixon rule, I am sure no one would have cared about the leaks in this election. HC leaks are bad, and they can be used to damage her plus her party used awful strategy in the elections, and the seriously bad economy is there. So perfect conditions for a candidate like DT can also win the elections.

FBI Says the Democratic Party Wouldn’t Let Agents See the Hacked Email Servers

https://www.wired.com/2017/01/fbi-says- ... l-servers/
In a statement to WIRED, a senior FBI law enforcement official wrote in an email Thursday that “The FBI repeatedly stressed to DNC officials the necessity of obtaining direct access to servers and data, only to be rebuffed until well after the initial compromise had been mitigated.” This contrasts with what DNC deputy communications director Eric Walker told Buzzfeed in an email: “The DNC had several meetings with representatives of the FBI’s Cyber Division and its Washington (DC) Field Office, the Department of Justice’s National Security Division, and U.S. Attorney’s Offices, and it responded to a variety of requests for cooperation, but the FBI never requested access to the DNC’s computer servers.”

In its statement, the FBI agreed with the DNC’s implication that it had instead relied on data from Crowdstrike. But the Bureau points the finger for its lack of independent evaluation squarely at the DNC. According to the FBI official, “This left the FBI no choice but to rely upon a third party for information. These actions caused significant delays and inhibited the FBI from addressing the intrusion earlier.”

US Intel Says 'Russian Hacking' Retaliation for Panama Papers, Doping Scandals

"[Russian President Vladimir] Putin publicly pointed to the Panama Papers disclosure and the Olympic doping scandal as US-directed efforts to defame Russia, suggesting he sought to use disclosures to discredit the image of the United States and cast it as hypocritical," the report stated on Friday.

Considering the guy fled to US and was the source of doping revelation to WADA , we can't rule out this was an intelligence operation to discredit Russia and more so Putin directly.

Even the election hacking report directly blames Putin , seems Obama wants to have last word once he leaves office :rotfl:

Obama-Netanyahu relation has been very cold and bitter , Obama administration felt netanyahu has been extereme right party and Netanyahu felt under Obama leftist government US has betrayed Israel.

Look at Israel opposition to Iran Nuclear deal lead by US or the most recent abstaining from UN sec council resolution ........look at how exactly opp stand DT takes and how Netanyahu is all praise from him while he can barely stand obama

A lot of Obama bad relation with Russia and Israel is also about ideology where Putin/Netanyahu are perceived at 180* to that of leftist/liberal obama.

breaking news this morning in the UK - a newspaper covert op in a restaurant has recorded Israeli embassy staffers discussing "how to take down" a british foreign office minister who does not support jewish settlements in the west bank. direct interference in another country's government... (and part of the netanyahu/obama spat)

of course there have been long standing complaints that the western powers do this all the time, but it feels more and more as though this is becoming the new normal

israeli ambassador to queenie has apologised for staffer's (first political officer) comments to a pro-israeli politician/media mole about smearing an unhelpful british minister - 'these views do not reflect the views of the ambassador or the government...' etc., etc., etc.

all that after teresa may went to bat for israel against kerry last week... tsk tsk!

well... it doesn't matter which way the british voted; the issue is that the senior most political officer in the embassy of an ally or atleast a friendly country is recorded to be working towards smearing and removing from office a government minister of the host country whose views do not agree with their political objectives.

the conversation was around 'what has this guy got to hide that we can expose' so as to remove him from office, and who else might be vulnerable to such pressure

the fact that this is not dominating news in the UK now tells me that its all been brushed over by the two governments. However, I can tell you just from my FB feeds and those promoted by my british jewish friends that there is a very strong pro-settlement meme being put out there on social media; quite a lot of which is very aggressive and dismissive of any Palestinian concerns/views

opinions are being shaped

not sure its that clever, the Israeli right want to have more settlements (and effective ethnic cleansing) and they have friends in Washington - its always been 'how best to leverage' that

luckily there are plenty of Israeli's who have a different opinion...

yep, the israeli right thinks they can out defend and survive based on past performances. Since every jihadi organization is already a sworn enemy of israel, getting more settlements doesn't make it much worse (may be they think so) for israel.
