In a Reuters article on the Pakistani military's threat to launch an operation against the Movement of the Taliban in Pakistan in North Waziristan*, some interesting details emerge on Maulana Umar Qasmi, the leader of Ahrar-ul-Hind:
According to intelligence officers, Qasmi hails from Jhang, a southern Punjab city that is home to the eponymous Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, an anti-Shi'ite sectarian group which supplied foot-soldiers for al Qaeda in Pakistan. Soon after high school, they said, Qasmi moved to nearby Bahawalpur, close to the Indian border, where he is said to have enrolled in a seminary run by Maulana Masood Azhar, the head of Jaish.
And in subsequent years he became dangerously well-networked as he moved between southern Punjab and the tribal lands in the northwest, notably in the Mohmand region, where a Pakistani Taliban faction executed 23 soldiers last month - an incident that raised criticism of Sharif for pursuing peace talks. Officials also believe Qasmi is close to Jundullah, the group behind a suicide bombing that killed at least 78 Christians at a church in Peshawar last September.
And they reckon he could muster 1,200 fighters drawn from various Punjabi-based groups for deadly operations against Pakistani cities.
Given that the group said at its founding that Ahrar-ul-Hind is based in "the urban areas of Pakistan," it was extremely likely that its emir would be from one of the multitude of Pakistani military- and government-backed jihadist groups. Umar Qasmi comes from Jaish-e-Mohammed, but could have just as easily been a leader in Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, or Lashkar-e-Taiba, or Harkat-ul-Mujahideen, or Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami, or Hizbul Mujahideen

Why do people have such deathwish? Fellow should worry about his safety and maybe emigrate.
http://www.timesofisrael.com/a-pakistan ... e-shadows/
A Pakistani Jew steps cautiously out of the shadows
is real name is Faisal Benkhald, though he has recently adopted the Yiddish first name “Fishel.” He was born in Karachi in 1987, the fourth of five children born to a Jewish mother and a Muslim father. Though registered at birth as Muslim, he considers himself Jewish and is now fighting for state recognition of his chosen religion — an apostasy
Fishel is not planning to reveal his chosen religion to his neighbors and colleagues upon his return, but he is certainly going back with a mission.
He intends to enter the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and change his official religious status from Muslim to Jew.
If NADRA permits him to do so (which he thinks is unlikely), he will be committing the crime of apostasy, punishable by death.
“It is dangerous but I will go at least once to record my request to change the status of my religion from Islam to Judaism so that their response can be documented,” says Fishel.
....“My dream for the near future in Pakistan is to gain some empathy from Pakistani Muslims for cleaning the Jewish graves. Later I will try to harness it in getting support and help in the legal process for a small synagogue in Pakistan. After getting that little piece of paper in my hand stating that legally we are allowed to have a synagogue, my dream will come true,” says Fishel.

Road Crossing in Pakistan (Instructions for Pak-Lurkers)
Look both left and right for cars, motorcycles, animals and Pedestrians.
Look up for American drones and look down for land mines
Look sideways for kidnappers and suicide bombers
Look back for any body guards
Hold your bags tight and check carefully if you are Sharia compliant
Then cross the road walking zig-zag to avoid bullets

IMO unlikely. He will be a great tool for the Pakistani establishment to prove their liberal credentials while India will be accused of "Kill all Muslims yesterday under Moditva"
The fact that he is being heard means he already has an establishment blessing. If he steps too far he will be warned and will sink into obscurity.
Unless the true inheritors of Pakistan, the Taliban, manage to take over. I don't see that happening although I am wishing for it. The Taliban will get a state on either side of the Durand line and that state will have close links with the Pakistani establishment. At least that is what things look like to me right now.

For this reason I have wondering for some time if Tibet is better of being under PRC control than being a buffer state or under Indian influence. The Indian state does not have what it takes to hold off the Islamic Genie wheras the PRC state can adopt hard measures to control the menace.
If Tibet were an autonomous province in the Indian orbit the INC would have seen to that no Article 370 were applied here and the Deobandi lashkars would have converted about 40% - 50% pop to Sunni Islam by this time.

IMO he is living a very very dangerous life. What people dont realize about Pakistan is that violence has been deregulated and democratized. Anyone can take a gun and shoot anyone. This is actually a brilliant move, because free of regulation the groups are very very innovative in fundraising, training people, import/export. In short, all the ways in which unregulated private industry like the Tatas and Birlas are better than PSUs.
In civilized countries, the government has a monopoly on violence (Army and Police), in Al-Bakistan they dont. What makes it even funny is that once deregulated any industry (like Banking for example) will fight tooth and nail if they were to be nationalized. Typically the only way they'll be nationalized is that the government threatens them -- which they can because they have the guns. Now how are you going to nationalize guns
Coming back to the point: Anyone from the local shopkeeper to random abdul on the street would now want Jannat after Bull-Cuttling him. Enterprising Abduls who fancy themselves as CEO of their own startup terrorist organizations would want to bull-cutlet him and release a video that they caught a RAW/CIA/Mossad agent. If he goes outside with police protection, the police would want to Qadrify him. If he goes with Army protection, citizens of Pakistan will demand (and rightfully so), why Pakistan army is protecting a jew instead of protecting Pakistan.
Let me tell you a story. Some owner abdul of a factory took down the old calendar and kept it on his table. It had verses from the HoKo. Another abdul saw this and was outraged about the desecration. The enraged workers bull cutleted him, his guards, upper management, looted the factory, burned it down and went home.

The "reimbursement" through CSF and other under the table money from Unkil are not counted towards the "official budget" of Pakistan. The TFTAs are possibly preparing for a reduction of this free money.

It wasn't a mob or lashkar. It was "group of miscreants"
http://www.business-standard.com/articl ... 012_1.html
A yoga centre was today allegedly set afire by unknown miscreants in Pakistan.
Some people entered the premises of the centre in Bani Gala area on the outskirts of Islamabad and demanded money. After being denied, they set the yoga centre on fire, local media reports said.
The culprits fled the scene after the incident.
The name of the yoga centre was not immediately confirmed.
Indian spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar had visited Pakistan in 2012 and inaugurated the centre for his Art of Living movement in Bani Gala.

AOA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy days are here again powers up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
12-hour power cuts are back
LAHORE: If summer comes, power cuts cannot be far behind. Twelve-hour loadshedding came back to torment the country on Saturday as the mercury hovered around the thirties in southern Punjab and Sindh while plants with a combined capacity of over 3,000MW remained idle for one reason or the other.
Power generation remained restricted to around 8,800MW for the better part of the day and touched 10,000MW during peak hours (from 6pm to 11pm), leaving a gap ranging between 4,000MW and 5,000MW. Planners were left with no option but to enforce 10-12 hour load management in major cities.
According to an official of the National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC), the demand during the day was around 13,000MW. The peak hours added 1,500MW during the evening. The generation, however, was much lower for a variety of reasons.

Pak plans deradicalization - Meena Menon,
The Hindu
Pakistan’s first ever National Internal Security Policy (NISP) apart from addressing critical issues related to threat perceptions ranging from street crimes to nuclear terrorism, envisages a deradicalisation programme which involves looping madrassas into mainstream education.
The policy tabled by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan in the National Assembly recently, is aimed at protecting the national interest of Pakistan and includes three key elements — a dialogue with all stakeholders, isolation of terrorists from their support systems and enhancing deterrence and capacity of the security apparatus. The NISP said dialogue offered a political means to end internal disputes but this is not the only option though it is the most preferred way to bring peace and reconciliation. Doors were open for negotiations with all anti-state and non-state groups within the limit of the Constitution and without compromising the primary interests of territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state.
The National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA), designated as the focal organisation for coordinating counter terrorism efforts in Pakistan, in consultation with other institutions supporting NISP, will develop and coordinate a National De-Radicalization Programme Design. The policy envisages the integration of mosques and madrassas in the national and provincial educational establishment by mapping and then mainstreaming and integrating the existing and new madrassas and private sector educational institutions.
The policy said a large number of terrorists, either are, or have been students of madrassas where they were brainwashed to take up arms against the state. Therefore,
the madrassa and mosque remains an important point of focus for any government policy to stem the spread of extremism in Pakistan. The policy recognised a need to develop a national narrative based on tolerance, harmony and the right of the people to make religious, political and social choices.
{So, the closet jihadi Nawaz Sharif is planning to de-radicalize the society ? Will he change the curriculum ? Last time, SSG Commando and the CEO of Pakistan attempted that with disastrous consequences. Federal Education Minister Ms.Zobaida Jalal's house in Balochistan was attacked and she had to declare herself as a "fundamentalist" for having attempted to change the curricula. What did she change ? She removed references to jihad in the Biology textbooks of Class 10, 11 & 12. The brave Commando-cum-CEO had to eventually remove her from the ministry. No curricula change was attempted after that} De-radicalisation programmes will be conducted in jails for prisoners and terror convicts.
The madrassa system cannot be excluded from the internal security parameters of the country, the policy stated.{But, what is this fake wailing against madrassah-churned-out students ? After all, the GoP wants them. The Pakistani Army stands by them and have assimilated them into their force. What was 1947/1948 if not for jihadists ? What was Al Badr doing in 1971 in East Pakistan ? What was Kargil ? What does Corps Commander, Lahore do attending the iftaar party with Hafeez Saeed ?} Controlling funding of the terrorists is a major challenge especially when the curriculum in these madrassas does not prepare the youth for the job market.
It is proposed to tighten control over foreign funding to non-governmental organisations and madrassas by involving banks, the Federal Board of Revenue and taxation departments to monitor the flow of money to suspected organisations.
The NISP has three parts and the third part is secretive and remains unpublished. One can be sure that this part will say everything diametrically opposite to what is stated above. AoA.

Apparently a journalist called Art of Living center as a RAW/CIA/Mossad front a few week back.
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1c3r3 ... ?start=692
And apparently "asked for money, denied, set on fire" is also false. The attackers came to burn the place, before burning asked the watchman where the money and valuables were kept. On being told its a volunteer organization, they didn't bother to loot the center before setting it on fire.
If they didn't get rewarded in this life for this brave act, surely they will be rewarded in the next.
