I am surprised Oli happily gave up? No emergency, nothing? That distresses me. It allows Unkil to get away easily.
Hence I don't like Pappoz hanging around. What if he does this to a small state and then declares independence or something or is a dress rehearsal to do this everywhere?
They won the T20 but this is a test match and we still need to win most sessions

Nepal unrest - a volatile mix that India must watch closely

- Key ministers quit, Oli resigns homes of top leaders vandalised
- Govt ban on 26 social media apps → sparked protests, leaving 19 dead & hundreds injured. Social media ban seen as authoritarian overreach → rapid mobilisation
-Students rage at corruption & nepotism triggering grassroots momentum buildup
- Pro-monarchy protests from earlier, demanding restoration of crown (ended 2008)
- MoFA warns of ISI/LeT/JeM hand while Pak media blames RAW

In summary, the situation remains fluid & India must keep BSF vigilant & stay circumspect in managing fallout

Or is it the BD perfected Student Revolution.
Just in time for the Bihar Elections dont you think!!
And only week or two ago announcement was made that Nepal and Bhutan as open border meaning that people could travel freely across.
In all this turmoil wonder what sort of people will slip through
Yeah, this has nothing to do with SCO but looks like something that was well-planned and orchestrated (always the case when there is a ready replacement). Whoever was behind the "student revolution" in Bangladesh to ouster is also the same one behind this "GenZ revolution" in Nepal. Makes you think about the JNU/Jamia Milia/DU riots in 2018, which was the precursor to CAA riots and blockade.

Its a shame we lack in our PR game, else the messaging could've been clear - Nepal survived centuries of colonialism, world wars, famines, earthquakes but yet found stability for over 200 yrs when it had monarchy, but this so-called "democracy" has given it nothing but corruption, incompetency and instability with over 12 government changes in the last 20 yrs.

As for Oli, good riddance to the chinese puppet, let him seek asylum in Beijing.

Ambar ji,

It all started when the BIF commies sneaked in the word "secular" into the nepali constitution. eyetaaalian mafioso clan was heavily involved in that game, to the extent of using scum like yechh - uri, the roasted peking duck, to seal the deal with the new nepali commie govt

shows you that the mafioso links with commie cheen was well before the "secret" MOU was signed

Just like what the commies had done with the Indian constitution

Actually A_Gupta ji, it was a devious attempt to inflame public opinion and divert their attention from the building resentment against the govt.

Let us see what happens now. The "democracy" of Nepal is a sham, as I wrote before in this thread. 95% of the parliament is either commie or pinko. The Hindutva party (RPP) has only 5% of the seats. Best to integrate with Bharat. As of now, it is basically a region in the back side of Uttar Pradesh, i.e. Chuttar Pradesh.

From Major Gaurav Arya to Lt Gen PR Shankar, all commentators agree that PM Oli was a Chinese puppet.

Voices from Nepal say the government was trying to close down all but Chinese social media.

So who is behind this?
Is there a positive side for India in this?

Who has an interest in lighting fires all around Bharat? Who is trying to show that Bharat can never become a global power because she cannot even keep her neighbourhood calm and stable ?

Since the days of IPKF India has been very reticent to use its forces outside India. Except for some white labelled UN missions.

Perhaps it's time for Bharat to evolve it's policy. But it won't be easy since these colour revolutions are deliberately led by rabid anti India fly by night leaders on CIA payroll.

I don't understand your post. It seems that the current protests are a result of continuing public frustration which started in March (pro-monarchy demonstrations). Quite likely RAW at work. It's possible that the former king Gyanendra will be put forward as a leader after the emergency.

Meanwhile, Gyanendra seems to be backing the protests:
https://www.news18.com/world/anger-viol ... 59830.html
https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/ne ... ?from=mdr

The only monarchist party in the Nepal parliament is the RPP (Hindutva party). They want a constitutional monarchy Hindu rashtra.

This seems like RAW at work here. What is the interest of USA in bringing back the Hindu rashtra?

Regime change with street violence getting uncontrollable is typical unkill weapon. The Chinese can pump money and honey insidiously, but they themselves are scared of such regime change at home.

Given Bharat US ties are pretty shaky these days my bet is on unkill. When they can print 37T of fake dollars what is a few million to throw at some third world shithole country just to create distraction and headache for Bharat?!

To be more clear, I think certain someone was aware of the outreach by the king and it's potential impact. And, coming unexpected quarter, has run away with a win.

A few points to ponder:

- Parliament building that got torched was build by Chinese back during Deng’s time. It was the first beachhead against monarchy by Beijing. It survived from getting burnt down for 30 years, thanks to successive Indian governments snoozing around.

- Mayor sounds very toolkitty.

- The mayor’s wife seem a RoPer, judging from the Maggi-noodle tattooed on her jibbilies.

Need to be cautious.

No, let these banana republics burn, they all harbor and nurture a deep rabid hatred towards India and Indians, including the Nepalese who have benefitted from India's largesse for decades with millions of Nepalese who live and work in India. Any military action would mean getting embroiled in years of counter-insurgency, they made their beds, let them lie on it now.

It will be a toolkit, meaning BIF, meaning commies, naxals, khalistanis, jihadis, dravidians, beedis and rohingiyas in border states like bengal and cashmere, abrahamic terrorists in the NE and even Ker.

street violence in strategic locations, with gora media support and such antinational forces being funded from outside. just like they operated during the "farmer's protest" and dilli riots

By now, AS and AD already know how to handle them before they gather in force and diffuse before the point of no return

Nepal's stability, peace, and prosperity are of utmost importance. I humbly appeal to all my brothers and sisters in Nepal to maintain peace and order," he wrote in an X post in Nepali.

Nepal Protest: China silent on exit of Nepal PM Oli amid riots

China has yet to officially react to the fall of Nepalese Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, regarded as its steadfast ally, and the prevailing violent student movement against the political class of Nepal.

Oli resigned as prime minister on Tuesday in the face of massive anti-government protests with the demonstrators attacking private residences of several high-profile leaders, headquarters of political parties and even vandalising the parliament, a day after 19 people died in police action against the agitators.

For China, the disgraceful exit of Oli, regarded as a pro-Beijing leader for his efforts to reshape Nepal’s traditionally India-friendly foreign policy towards China, was reminiscent of the fall of the Rajapaksa family rule in Sri Lanka.
