Positive News! Baltimore Prosecutor says Not All Baltimore Police are Murderers, Just Like All Pakistanis Are Not Terrorists until proven to be.

SIX guys participated - and it took a videotape to show the truth?? So the count of honest cops is <<1/6 meaning less than 16%.

Also a whole bunch of Dispatchers, Hospital People, Precinct Commanders..

IOW, count of Honest Baltimore Police < 1 out of ... 20? 30?

DA fears for her safety after charging APD officers
District Attorney Kari Brandenburg says she fears for her safety – concerned she might be a target after her decision to file murder charges against two Albuquerque police officers for the on-duty shooting of a homeless man in March 2014.

“I fear for my safety because other Albuquerque Police Department officers have told me that I should,” Brandenburg told the ABQ Free Press in a story published last week. “I don’t think they’re going to kill me, but I have been told to fear for my safety.”

Black mothers wonder if their lost babies are still alive

Eighteen black women who were told decades ago that their babies had died soon after birth at a St. Louis hospital now wonder if the infants were taken away by hospital officials to be raised by other families.

The suspicions arose from the story of Zella Jackson Price, who said she was 26 in 1965 when she gave birth at Homer G. Phillips Hospital in St. Louis. Hours later, she was told that her daughter had died, but she never saw a body or a death certificate.

.....

In each case, a nurse — not a doctor — told the mother that her child had died, a breach of normal protocol. No death certificates were issued, and none of the mothers were allowed to see their deceased infants, Watkins said.

Pentagon chief says more work needed in sexual assault fight

Sexual assault in the U.S. military remains far too common despite a 27 percent drop in the number of incidents over the past two years, Defense Secretary Ash Carter said on Friday as the Pentagon released its annual report on the problem.

Interrogations advisor urges Bush-era torture probe

The head of a body that advises U.S. terrorism interrogators on ethics on Thursday called for a special prosecutor to probe how the abuse of captured militants during the Bush administration's "war on terror" was allowed to happen.

The call came from Mark Fallon, head of a committee that advises the interagency High Value Interrogation Group, and followed the release of a report on Thursday that accused America's top organization of psychologists of secretly collaborating with the CIA, White House and Pentagon to help justify torture.

Fallon said the accusation of collusion of the American Psychological Association in the torture of detainees after the Sept 11, 2001 attacks highlights the need for a wider investigation.

.....

A Senate Intelligence Committee report last December concluded that the CIA had failed to disrupt a single plot despite torturing al Qaeda and other captives in secret prisons overseas between 2002 and 2006, when George W. Bush was president.

On Thursday, a group of dissident health professionals and human rights activists released a report accusing the association of secretly coordinating with Bush administration officials to bolster a legal and ethical justification for the torture of prisoners in the war on terror.

Why aren't they speaking for everyone instead of going from shooting to shooting. The same can be said of the Jews. Two gunmen shot dead after opening fire at Texas Prophet Muhammad cartoon exhibition
http://www.independent.co.uk/
The United States is once again reeling after two gunmen who reportedly opened fire at an exhibition displaying cartoons of Prophet Muhammad were themselves shot dead. Initial reports said the men may have been carrying explosives.

Reports on Sunday night said the men were shot outside an event near Dallas that had styled itself an "extreme free speech" exhibition. A security guard was reportedly shot and injured. Reports said a large number of police officers were on duty at the event, perhaps in anticipation of some sort of problem.

"We were prepared for something like this because there additional officers hired by the school district," Joe Harn, a spokesman for Garland Police Department told a press conference on Sunday evening. "There is a lot of investigating to be done."

Reuters said the men were shot and killed after firing on the guard outside the Curtis Culwell Centre in Garland, Texas, during a so-called family event where caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad were being displayed. The shooting is said to have happened at around 7pm local time.

there was a patrol car blocking their way and they had to get down and shoot and looks like they did let loose many shots.

if they had managed to get in the building, they could have killed many.

Yeah, the organizers had paid for and had a SWAT team on site. I wonder how effective these guys would have been. Besides, it was Texas and was an event that would have attracted a lot of gun toting folks. They would have maybe been able to empty one mag before being taken down by the exibit guests (forget SWAT)

I think this has all the makings of a feud. Two innocent Arizona cowboys gunned down in cold blood on a street by Texan Hired Guns wearing black hats.
Better not wear ur 'Don't Mess With Tex-Uss" T-shirt when u go bar-hopping in Scottsdale...

This guy did a regular real-life Matt Dillon, apparently:
(CNN)It wasn't a fair fight.

On one side, you had two men in body armor, toting assault rifles and showing every willingness to open fire now and count their victims later. On the other, you had a security officer -- a traffic officer by day -- with a pistol. Somehow, the officer won.

"Garland police officers work at the convention center all the time as an off-duty job," Harn said. "And that was the case ... for everyone."
The officer .. was parked in a patrol car in front of the first entrance, from the east, off Naaman Forest Boulevard into the center's parking lot. An unarmed Garland school district security officer sat in the car with him, ostensibly to check the identification of those coming in. The event started, by all accounts, without a hitch around 5 p.m. (6 p.m. ET), and for nearly two hours nothing serious happened.
Until, that is, about 6:50 p.m., when a dark-colored vehicle pulled into the entrance the Garland officer and school district officer were blocking.....

"When that car pulled up and stopped, those officers began to exit that vehicle and two men exited the dark-colored sedan," Harn said. "Both of them had assault rifles, came around the back of the car and started shooting at the police car." Gunfire reverberated around the complex, from the two gunmen, and the armed officer.

A short time later, four members of a nearby SWAT team came in firing their high-powered rifles, (reminescent of Da Wild Bunch..) But by the time they did, the Garland traffic officer was the only one standing.
The school district officer had been hit in the leg, according to Harn. And the two attackers were already down on the ground by their car, having been shot by the traffic officer. Within 15 seconds, the chaotic eruption was basically over.

How?

He had a .45-caliber Glock pistol, a much less powerful weapon than the rifles used by the attackers, who have since been identified by federal law enforcement officials as Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi.
"There's no advantage for a handgun over an assault rifle," said Dick Fairburn, a veteran law enforcement officer who is a columnist for PoliceOne.com. "An assault rifle has more distance, more accuracy, more power, more penetration.

"You cannot downplay what he did there."

Granted, the officer likely had on some sort of protective jacket. But Tom Fuentes, a former FBI assistant director and current CNN contributor, said that the thin Kevlar vests often worn by police would be useless against an assault rifle round that "will go through that like a hot knife through butter." The same can't be said for bullets coming from the officer's pistol: The attackers' body armor likely would have blocked those.

Thus, aiming for the suspects' torso -- as officers are trained first to do, since it is their biggest possible target -- is no longer an option. But still, somehow, the traffic officer managed to down both men in seconds.

"It speaks to his skill level," Fairburn, who is a firearms trainer for law enforcement, said of the Garland officer. "In terms of weaponry, he was far outgunned. But he was far better trained."
This guy is wasting his time as a traffic cop. Worth $$$$$$$ as a hit-man. Two head-shots from long range, done in half-second pop-ups to avoid automatic-rifles spraying fire. With a hand-gun. Two kills.

My mango understanding is that most of the Jihadis believe is "spray and pray". Guns if fired in a full automatic mode by rank amateurs with give more to emotion of shooting than to job of hitting the intended target may not always hit target. May be they are already thinking about the 72 before starting the shooting.

But still lot of rounds are coming on to you and even one of them will kill you and the police officer showed remarkable luck and skill.

In respect of the black people in Khanland, I do not have any firsthand knowledge of the conditions in US and never been there till date. But most damaging thing done to blacks is the destruction of the families of black people. I do not know how this happened. But I feel that it the fall was a long process.

While whites who are on average better off than blacks may take some more time to break in the new promiscuous culture of today, black society due to poverty and oppression got broken earlier. Now with lack of education, poverty, early pregnancies at 15,16 years age, without any family security or supervision they have fallen into drug and criminal culture. All people claiming to be fight for black rights somehow justifying crime are all the reasons for the present state of affairs. Every generation of black people is in poor neighborhoods are now condemned to be born, live and die in like that only. No one in black and white leadership will do anything for this.

Woman accused of cutting corpse during visitation at Tulsa funeral home

A woman faces a gruesome accusation for what police say she did to a corpse during visitation at an Oklahoma funeral home.

Shaynna Smith, 26, faces a misdemeanor charge of "illegal dissection of a human body." She's accused of mutilating the body of a deceased woman who used to date Smith's boyfriend.

"Hair that was removed from the decedent on the floor near the casket, as well as the makeup on the face of the decedent was smeared and there was a laceration to the face," Sergeant Shane Tuell of the Tulsa Police Department told KOKI-TV.

Police say Smith then went to the dead woman's apartment. Officers arrested her there, saying Smith still had a knife with her with hair still on it.

Rape added to murder and cannibalism charges against Indiana man

A southern Indiana man who is facing a possible death penalty on charges that he killed his ex-girlfriend and ate part of her body has now been charged with raping her, an attorney representing the defendant said on Tuesday.

.....

Oberhansley, 34, was charged last September in Clark County, Indiana, with breaking into the Jeffersonville home of his ex-girlfriend, Tammy Jo Blanton, murdering her and abusing her corpse by eating parts of it. He has pleaded not guilty.

Jeffersonville is across the Ohio River from Louisville, Kentucky.

McDaniel said Judge Vicki Carmichael approved the charge on Monday at the request of Clark County Prosecutor Jeremy Mull. It was added, McDaniel said, because the other charges were not strong enough to warrant the death penalty.

Prosecutor, defense sum up in Philadelphia police corruption trial

Closing statements began on Tuesday in the corruption trial of six Philadelphia police officers, with the prosecution condemning the accused as abusing their power and the defense disparaging the credibility of witnesses in the case.

The six veteran narcotics officers, on trial in federal court, are accused of stealing money from drug suspects, using excessive force and lying on search warrants and in court testimony.

Prosecutors built their case before U.S. District Judge Eduardo Robreno largely on the testimony of more than a dozen drug dealers and a former police officer who admitted to committing what he said were thousands of crimes while on duty.

In her closing statement to the jury, Assistant U.S. Attorney Maureen McCartney said the accused officers had abused their power and felt they were above the law.

"They abused that power ... in the most egregious of ways by threatening people, abusing people, robbing people and then lying about what they had done," she said.

"These defendants behaved as if they believed that because they wore a badge, their crimes would never see the light of day," she said.

Police search for Missouri man accused of holding woman captive in box

A Missouri man was charged on Monday in connection with allegations he held his girlfriend captive in a wooden box in their home, and is being sought by police, authorities said.

.....

The woman, whom authorities have not identified, called police on Friday to report that she had escaped from the Sedalia, Missouri, house and had been locked by Horn in a box routinely over the past four months, police said.

The box was 100 inches (8.3 feet) long, 45 inches (3.75 feet) wide and 52 inches (4.3 feet) tall, according to a detective's affidavit filed with the charges on Monday. The box was sound-proofed, lined with insulation and had a small air hole and contained a bucket of urine and feces, the statement said.

Georgia mom accused of hosting naked Twister party for daughter, sleeping with 2 teens

A Georgia mother faces multiple charges after allegedly allowing her teen daughter and the girl’s friends to throw a drunken party complete with a game of naked Twister that led to various sex acts.

Police arrested 35-year-old Rachel Lenhardt on two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor after allegedly allowing the teens drink alcohol and smoke marijuana while they partied at her Evans home. Lenhardt’s Alcoholic Anonymous sponsor called police Saturday to report her.

The sponsor told police Lenhardt, a bridal shop employee who had been sober for four days, had invited her over for coffee to try to plan her continued sobriety. Both women attend the same local Mormon church where Lenhardt attends a sexual addiction therapy group.

During the meeting, Lenhardt revealed that her kids — ages 4, 6, 8, 10 and 16 — had been taken away from her recently after an incident at her house prompted an emergency case review.

She explained that the incident started when her 16-year-old daughter and other children were with their father. Her daughter texted to find out if she could come over “to party” with some of the teen’s friends, according to the sheriff’s report.

During the party, Lehnardt confided that she participated in an all-nude game of Twister with the teens, during which she left to allegedly have sex with an 18-year-old in the bathroom, according to the report. After leaving the bathroom, she allegedly stated that she was still “horny” and took out a collection of sex toys that she used on herself in the living room as the group watched.

Pediatric dentist accused of torture, abuse, fraud

A Jacksonville pediatric dentist under investigation by the state of Florida is now the target of a class-action lawsuit alleging his practice is a front for a "sadistic and systematic scheme of physical and psychological torture and abuse" of "utterly defenseless" children.

.....

The plaintiffs are seeking damages exceeding $15,000 and a jury trial, alleging his practice was a "house of horrors," where some parents say their children were at times strapped down and left with visible injuries and marks to their faces and necks, that "has little to do with dentistry, but much to do with the Doctor's deviant sadistic appetites."

The suit claims that Schneider's practice specifically preyed on low-income, uneducated and non-English speaking clients to "limit the ability of these initially unsuspecting parents and families to protect their children" from his "deviant and violent" methods and threatened them to avoid exposure.

"Dentist Schneider's deep need to inflict pain, torture, mutilate and humiliate, has driven him to create a specialized dental 'practice', which, by its very design and structure, provided him with a constant supply of especially defenseless, indigent, children to victimize," the complaint said.

.....

Schneider, 78, has been practicing in Jacksonville for more than 40 years. He has never been charged with a crime in connection to the jarring allegations, which the suit says include:

• "Choking children to the point of unconsciousness rather than using appropriate anesthetic prior to doing tooth extractions..."

• "Performing non-medically necessary dental procedures" without anesthetic and "fraudulently" billing Medicaid for them

• "Using fear and threats to scare and thereby silence his victims, including threats not limited to saying things like 'Your mom will die' if you tell her what happened..."

Video shows Del. officer kicking black suspect

The release of dashboard camera footage showing a white Dover police officer kicking a black suspect in the head touched off demands Thursday for law enforcement policy changes, bringing Delaware into a national conversation about police misconduct.

While this incident occurred before well-publicized incidents in Ferguson, Mo.; New York City; North Charleston, S.C.; and Baltimore, where black suspects were killed by police, the indictment and release of the video here occurred nearly two years later.

.....

Civil rights leader the Rev. Jesse Jackson said the Dover incident clearly shows mistreatment by law enforcement.

"What is clear is that a man who is down should not be kicked to unconsciousness," said Jackson, who appeared at protests and a funeral in Baltimore and Ferguson. "That is excessive force."

.....

The officer driving the car with the dashboard camera then approaches. Responding to the officers' commands, Dickerson begins to lie facedown on the ground. As he does, Webster kicks Dickerson once in the head.

Dickerson's baseball cap flies in the air and his limp body falls onto the asphalt. Dickerson, who was 30 at the time, was left unconscious and taken to the hospital with a broken jaw.

No gun was found at the scene, and assault, theft and resisting arrest charges filed against Dickerson were dropped.

Former Connecticut priest sentenced to five years for dealing meth

A former Connecticut Roman Catholic priest on Thursday was sentenced to five years and five months in federal prison for running a methamphetamine distribution ring.

Kevin Wallin, now 63, was arrested in March 2013 and charged with selling the drug. He pleaded guilty the following month to one count of conspiracy to distribute, prompting local media to call it the "Monsignor meth" case.

Federal prosecutors contended that Wallin bought the drug from suppliers in California and sold it to other dealers as well as his own customers around Waterbury, in central Connecticut.

Michigan boy held in basement says stepmother led him to hiding spot

A Michigan boy who was found emaciated in his own basement last year after an 11-day manhunt told a court on Wednesday his stepmother led him to a downstairs hiding spot and urged him to remain quiet while authorities searched for him.

Charlie Bothuell V, who was 12 years old at the time and is now 13, said he spent the days sneaking food and listened in silence when police came to the home to search for him.

.....

On Wednesday, Bothuell said his stepmother accused him one day of cutting his daily exercise routine short and led him into the basement to a spot cleared for him behind a stack of boxes.

"I didn't know what was going to happen to me if I didn't listen," he testified.

Bothuell said his stepmother had threatened to kill him in the past and told him to "shut up and don't do anything."

She did not say how long he was expected to stay there. That evening, he overheard her talking to his father on the telephone, telling him the boy was missing, he testified.

Authorities launched a search when his father and stepmother reported him missing on June 14. A Michigan State Police sergeant and FBI agent found him in the basement 11 days later.

Defense lawyers have called his testimony coached and not credible. Defense attorney Godfrey Dillard asked him why he did not leave the house when he was alone, or the basement when he knew police officers were there.

"I don't know," he said. "My word didn't basically mean more than what she might tell him," he said of his stepmother and father.

"Were you afraid?" Dillard asked.

"No," Bothuell said.

Earlier in the hearing, Bothuell said he was forced to exercise for up to two hours every morning and again each night, and was beaten or forced to stand with his arms over his head in a corner if he faltered. The routine rarely wavered from November 2011 until June 2014, he said.

Judges to review arrests by California officers in racist texts scandal

San Francisco's district attorney has appointed three retired judges to review the integrity of 3,000 arrests involving more than a dozen police officers who engaged in racist and homophobic text messages, his office said on Thursday.

.....

The controversy over the text messages among San Francisco police officers comes amid a series of fatal police confrontations across the country that have put law enforcement agencies under scrutiny over the use of lethal force, especially against minorities, the poor and the mentally ill.

.....

In one text message, former San Francisco Police Sergeant Ian Furminger wrote: "Cross burning lowers blood pressure!" according to court documents.

The court papers show Furminger also bragged in texts that a relative was a slave auctioneer, joked about the Ku Klux Klan and insulted Latinos. Others, among the 14 officers who received the messages on their phones, texted such responses as "White Power" and wrote homophobic messages.

The woman told authorities that Horn forced her to help him build the box by wielding a long knife. She was locked in the box when he was not home, released when he got home from work and was compelled to have sex with him, authorities said.

Utah teen Meagan Grunwald convicted for fatal highway crime spree with boyfriend

Meagan Grunwald had tearfully testified that she feared for her life as she drove her boyfriend for a fatal crime spree, but she was still found guilty on all but one of a dozen felony charges she faced.

She might have driven herself right into a life sentence.

The Utah teen accused of aiding her murderous boyfriend by driving him 50 miles while he shot at sheriff’s deputies, killing one and critically injuring another, was convicted early Saturday morning of all but one of the 12 felony charges she faced, including aggravated murder.

Meagan Grunwald, 18, is scheduled to be sentenced July 8 and faces life behind bars for her deadly, drug-fueled drive.

Now we move on to another American theme: Teachers having sex with their teenage pupils.

Colorado middle school teacher, 24, 'had long-term sexual relationship with SIXTH GRADE student and gave him marijuana'

A 24-year-old Colorado middle school teacher has been accused of having a long-term sexual relationship with a male student, age just 12, who she also allegedly gave marijuana to.

Former Brentwood Middle School teacher Katerina Bardos, of Greeley, faces charges of sex assault on a child, sex assault on a child by some one in a position of trust and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

.....

The alleged relationship, which lasted for some time, started when the now-13-year-old boy was in Bardos's sixth-grade class at Brentwood, investigators said.

Teacher, 26, who was caught having sex with 13-year-old student in her car is sentenced to 12 years in prison

A 26-year-old former middle school teacher has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after she admitted to having sex with a 13-year-old student.

Jessica Boyers had pleaded guilty to rape and other charges in Jefferson and Oldham counties in Kentucky earlier this year and was sentenced to 12 years behind bars in Jefferson on Thursday.

.....

Boyers was a teacher at Highland Middle School in Louisville in 2013 when she had a six-week sexual relationship with the boy, whom she taught.

She was arrested in April 2013 after she was found having sex with the boy in a car at a local park, WLKY reported. She resigned from her teaching position.

The boy told investigators that Boyers was his girlfriend. A police investigator asked Boyers in a recorded interview if she felt the same.

'I guess you could call it that,' she said.

While she denied ever having sex with the boy, he told investigators that they had spent time together at her house after school and during spring break and had had sex on multiple occasions.

He also told them he had saved a condom they had used. Court documents show Boyers' DNA was found on the boy, WLKY reported.

Here is another great American (Western) tradition: the hazing of students.

'You left him alone to die': Father of fraternity pledge who died in alcohol-fueled hazing lashes at five former Pi Kappa Alpha members as they are spared jail time

. Northern Illinois University freshman David Bogenberger, 19, died from cardiac arrest after drinking 26 vodka shots in November 2012
. Toxicology report said his blood-alcohol content was 0.351 per cent, which is four times the legal limit
. After Bogenberger blacked out, a fraternity member allegedly placed him in bead, rather than seeking medical help
. Five former Pi Kappa Alpha members were each sentenced to 100 hours of community service and ordered to pay $1,000 fines as part of plea deal

And then on to the usual sexual abuse of minors/children (pedophilia).

Father-of-three pleads guilty to kidnapping and sexually abusing young Amish sisters he 'chained to his bed', as well as four other children

A New York man who kidnapped and sexually abused two Amish sisters who he chained to his bed has pleaded guilty to 21 counts of sexual abuse and child *****, according to authorities.

Stephen M. Howells II, 39, and his former girlfriend Nicole Vaisey lured the two girls, aged 6 and 12, away from their family's vegetable stand in Oswegatchie last August, asking if they wanted to pet a puppy in the couple's car, police said.

The 12-year-old girl got suspicious on the way to the car and began screaming, but Howells pushed the girls inside and drove them to the couple's home where, authorities say, they were handcuffed for 24 hours.

The father-of-three also pleaded guilty to kidnapping and sexually exploiting four other children, ranging in ages from 5 to 11, according to U.S. attorney Richard Hartunian of the Northern District of New York.

Between December 2012 and August 2013, Howells sedated his victims with drugs and then sexually abused them while filming the whole thing, Hartunian said.

In his plea, Howells claimed he conspired with Vaisey to abduct the children and make child *****, alleging that they sometimes switched roles while doing so.

Obsessed man, 66, 'killed 17-year-old girl and burned her body after she started sleeping with him in exchange for Xanax'

A convicted killer has been charged with murder after the body of a 17-year-old girl he was having sex with and selling drugs to was found burning in a dumpster.

Armando Botell, 66, has been accused of killing Romina Fernandez and dumping her remains in Sweetwater, Florida, last October.

Police said he had been giving the teenager Xanax since she was 15 years old and the pair developed a sexual relationship, as well.

However he then became 'obsessive' and allegedly had a friend follow the victim around.

According to The Miami Herald, he also had nude photos of the teen on his phone and admitted to a friend he was being 'physically abusive' toward Fernandez.

Cellphone records showed that the two were together just hours before her body was discovered, while surveillance allegedly shows Botell's Mercedes being used to dump the body.

He was convicted of a murder in Hialeah in 1980, although it was unclear how much time he served in prison.

'Heinous predator' arrested after forcing his way into 13-year-old's home to rape her

A 31-year-old man in San Jose, California has been arrested three days after he allegedly followed a 13-year-old girl home from school and tried to rape her.

Police believe Mohammad Khaliqi is the bearded man caught on the unidentified girl's home surveillance video, stalking her home, trying to break into the home and then fleeing when the teen hit him in the face.

And authorities fear that this isn't the first time Khaliqi has tried to sexually assault someone.

They believe he is also the suspect sought in the attempted sexual assault of a 28-year-old woman early last month, who told police that he tried to force his way into a grocery store bathroom she was using. Security footage also caught the face of the man in that incident.

The name Gordeuk sounds Dutch. It wouldn't surprise me, considering that the Dutch designed the Apartheid system in South Africa.
