The Yezidi force raised is called YBS and is fighting alongside the Kurds on Sinjar
Out of kindness towards Humanity, pls don't post such pictures. Half the Mards in Bakistan will rush to join ISIS just so they can get a look at the Kurd/Yazidi Fighters while still Holding the Pakistani End Up b4 achieving Pest-e-Sha'eed.
I imagine that these Fighters are not as kind as they look, if they catch any ISIS alive...

^^^ The women are all PKK or Peshmerga, not sure. In the videos of Yezidi training that I saw, there were only men. ISIS have a special dislike for women. I guess some thing in some text says that getting killed by a woman will not get them djannat and de hourris.

Men or women, the yazidis will skin the daesh alive if they get a chance. It's their day of revenge. Most have lost close family and friends.
No wonder the rats ran away tail between legs.

why isis is falling
- If you haven't been (relatively) close to the point of detonation of a 500kg thermobaric? warhead you have no idea how that shakes not only the body but the spirit and flattens lungs & cavities like a papad. Even Captagon saturated minds start breaking under that kind of stress. The salafist mercenaries were, by all indications, seasoned fighters familiarized with concussion waves; but they are human, and a month of attrition has done what a bombing campaign does to anyone that knows there's no rear front: break the fighting spirit. This could be illustrated by going through the bombing videos available in youtube by date: the first week's "Allah Uh ackbar's" that punctuate every merc's video were a mixture of anger and a call to arms in rage. November's exclamations are more reminiscent of the prayer of those that know death is near; full either of sadness and resignation or true fright.

YPG + PKK fighters who played a key role in Sinjar, angered that pesh taks "all the credit." sign of tension to come
the yazidis have been utterly brutalised and they want revenge. their women and girls (yes i mean girls) have been sold in slave auctions like so many goats and treated worse. daesh even published a manual on how to handle kaffir sex slaves. some of the reports that have come out are harrowing and nauseating. some of the girls were executed for refusing the embrace of a mujahid, most were beaten, starved and raped, some were sold back to their families.
the guardian published a photograph last year of a yazidi family (just the women) walking away from mt sinjar, the middle aged mother herding the little ones, whilst a 14 year old girl cradling an AK47 covers their rear and looks back at the camera with a haunting look - she is the only protector of her little sisters
thermobaric enemas are too good for these daesh scum bags
#SYRIA There were destroyed
34 command centres
16 ammo & POL depots
2 ammo & IED plants
3 training camps
50 strong points

same news on sputniknews has this:
He added that local citizens in Syria's provinces of Latakia, Tartus, Homs, Hama, Idlib and Damascus were joining self-defense groups. "At the moment, these units are nearly 4,000 strong."
"After necessary training, volunteers are involved in addressing issues aimed to defend residential areas, important sites’ and transport routes’ from terrorists. Such assistance from the civilian population allows freeing up regular army units in the rear and creating necessary reserves for developing the offensive on terrorist-occupied territories."
probably the Moskva flagship has gone back from her patrol(S-300 Rif) and hence need was felt for a land based LRSAM.

Jisr-al-Shugur and Idlib are firmly in Nusra hands right? these are the two biggest green zone cities in the NW quadrant.
Jisr was taken in april 2015.
I think they need to clean and drain the pus out of aleppo and establish good logistics before attacking these two nodes in a pincer movement - one from aleppo and one from latakia side.
Syria’s Christians grateful to Russia for support in fight against terrorism — patriarch
World November 11, 18:49 UTC+3
"We know that Russia can help us find a political solution to the crisis," the Syriac Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and all the East, Mor Ignatius Aphrem II said at a meeting with Russian top diplomat
MOSCOW, November 11. /TASS/. Syria’s Christians are grateful to the Russians for their support in the fight against terrorism and in political settlement of the crisis, the Syriac Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and all the East, Mor Ignatius Aphrem II said on Wednesday at a meeting with Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
"All of us, Syria’s Christians and Muslims, are grateful to the Russians as you have stand up to help us battle terrorism so that peace can get back to our homes," His Holiness Mor Ignatius Aphrem II said. "We know that Russia can help us find a political solution to the crisis, involving all those who are determined to revive Syria and to work with Syria’s legitimate government. We need a united country with a united government."
Also, the patriarch offered his condolences over "the loss of 224 lives" in the recent Russian plane crash in Egypt. Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov pledged that Russia would step up efforts in focusing attention on concerns of Christians in the Middle East.
"The Middle East is a cradle of Christianity," he said. "Christians have been living there for 2,000 years. It should be done so that the civilizational tissue of that region would be preserved and would not be breached."
Abrams tank hit by ISIS missile in the bustle area in ramadi. you can clearly see the blast panels working and diverting the force of the ammo explosion up and out. the crew would be badly shaken but probably survived this.

while syrian cities are mostly deserted ruins, Iraqis have a far difficult problem in ramadi and falluja where lakhs of people live and are trapped by ISIS checkposts from leaving. IqAF had dropped leaflets but people cannot leave. so heavy bombing and artillery would kill lakhs of civilians and cannot be used. during the siege of falluja post the lynching of contractors one angry US general apparently went ahead with unleashing 50 x 155mm shells on some insurgent area and did not inform his chain of command. the marines went in but had to pull back under political pressure due to heavy civilians casualties. if the usmc could not do it, I doubt the iraqis can.
seems to be crawling with ISIS looking at volume of gunfire. and they have huge VBIEDs like these ones to strike terror. ATGMs too looking at the abrams hit. most likely their A-teams are in ramadi, falluja, haditha and mosul while light screening B-teams are near aleppo, deir azor and palmyra.
allegedly their route to syria was open until yesterday and they are well stocked, well rested, well dug in and just itching get closer to Allah with as many as they can take down.
82nd airborne div and some usmc units have been training some of the iraqi army units for the arduous task ahead. some reports claim marine snipers are helping atleast do some sniping in falluja where iraqis are better placed than ramadi. but ramadi is a political goal after many delayed promises.
when the iraqi army was disbanbed post OIF, I believe so went all the senior officers, NCOs and institutional knowledge in their best 4 divisions the republican guard - nebuchadnezar, tawakalna, hamurabi and medina. this iraqi army seems like a pale shadow of the saddam era army. some of them went to become the hard core of ISIS.
Russia has been cooperating with the Free Syrian Army (FSA), which shared their intelligence on Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) positions targeted by Russian airstrikes, said President Vladimir Putin in an interview on Friday.
In an interview with the Interfax and Anadolu news agencies published on Friday, Putin said Russia has been considering any “reliable” information on the terrorists’ location in Syria.
“We have even worked together with the Free Syrian Army (FSA),” he said. “Russian aviation has conducted several strikes on targets identified by the FSA. We excluded areas, which had been indicated by FSA commanders as being under their control.”
He stressed this “proves once again that we are not bombing the so-called moderate opposition or the civilian population.”

So Iraqi cities are Jaffna all over again. Interesting problem, let's see how the uber-sophisticated US and US-trained Eyerak armies tackle this.
Maybe ideal for an army of robots to go in - some to provide covering fire against the TOWs and RPGs, the others as tanks and bulldozers to roll over obstacles. I don't see why that is difficult, with "telepresence" and total air superiority.
King Salman has been impressed by Russia's counterterrorism campaign in Syria so much that he is allegedly planning to come to Moscow before the year is out to "forge an alliance with Russia," Dr. Mordechai Kedar wrote for Arutz Sheva.

south of ICARDA on the M5 there is Saraqib, Ma'arat Al Numan, Hama & Homs then Damascus.
this can get over real quick unless the rebels throw up some surprises.
I hope RuAF can test one of these over any one of the above rebel centres. Provided there are no 'moderate rebels' there.
Just Nusra, Al-Qaeda, some-Al-Sham.

2. Some aggressive patrolling along the Turkish border - Russian planes lock on to Turkish Air Force planes, Turkish ground radar locks on to Russian planes forcing them to take evasive action and cross over into Turkish airspace.
3. US moves 6-12 F-15Cs to Turkey.
4. US moves some F-22s to Al Dhafra in the UAE.
5. Russia moves S-400 to Syria.

I wonder if the US and co strategically timed this Sinjar siege to coincide with Ruskies so they can do a bit of counter ops news in the media? I cant think of why / how all of a sudden this happened? It seems a bit to dif to believe that these 2 (Russia on the Syria end - Aleppo, US from Iraq end Sinjar) are stand alone events and any reln of them happening at same time is purely coincidental.

Solid diplomacy by Lavrov and Putin (on both bilateral and multilateral fronts)
Solid alternative media machine with great coverage (my honest assessment is they are better than western); Totally incapacitated western propaganda
- 2 min youtube capsules fed almost daily
- updates on the same day; It is remarkable how the Kweiris video came out on the same day. We would have waited for years to get that kind of video from Indian ops.
- summaries and other psyops on longer length from war front, home front, enemy front
Surprise factor in getting into Syrian theater and yet consistent looking at their 4-5 years stand
Use of massive power
Arranging tables for negotiations (Vienna) at the first oppty
Breaking the enemy into bits and pieces
Contrast this with what is going on in Obama camp
- infighting in congress and senate; WH/SD/Pentagon
- whining on enemy propaganda (yes, that is the most funny of all)
- past players are getting killed and/or character assasinated
- playing ringa ringa roses, going round round round and all falling down

New York times
Kurdish officials and Syrian activists say a coalition of Arab, Christian and Kurdish rebel factions in northern Syria has taken an IS-held town near Iraq's border.
The coalition — known as the Democratic Forces of Syria — seized the town of Hol in northern Hassakeh province on Friday. The town is across the border from the Sinjar region in Iraq, which Kurdish militias also seized Friday.
The U.S.-backed offensive to retake IS-held areas in the southern parts of Hassakeh is coinciding with the push to retake Sinjar.
Redur Khalil, spokesman for the main Kurdish fighting faction in Syria known as the YPG announced that the coalition has taken Hol.

speaking of Ramadi I jsut remembered.
there was this Iranian force trained to Special forces standards which was battle-tested at Ramadi a few months ago, and came out with flying colours. They would have taken over Ramadi if not for USAF disrupting their operation with insistence on bombing Ramadi and ISIL from the air.
I had posted photos of this group being motivated by Quds force commander Soleimani.
It is this very force that is now doing duty in Syria. In Aleppo and East Ghouta.
It is IRGC tactic to first cut the supply lines from behind. From twitter
It is a proven Iranian method to creep behind enemy lines and kill there supply lines before moving to the intented target
So after closing M5, they are expected to saraqib.
Due to blocking of this supply line, rebels and reinforcements were ordered from Latakia to Aleppo.
these convoys were bombed by RuAF at Khan Touman & Al Bab.
lol
RIMON, Jordan (AP) — Thousands of mourners chanted "Death to America, Death to Israel" during the funeral Thursday of a Jordanian police captain who killed five people, including two American instructors, in a shooting rampage at a police training center this week.

No. that was a more persian-looking sober group. The fighters were recruited from afghan, Iran sources and were given high level of training. They graduated in 2015 and Ramadi was their first experience. but the speed at which they were covering territory unnerved unkil.
