Vayutuvanji,

The easiest option is to get an esim. An overview is

https://www.techradar.com/pro/best-esim ... nal-travel

I have used airhub and airalo without issues. Assuming your phone is newish, it should support esims. Activation was painless and hassle free.

I used to ask relatives for getting a sim, but with this is truly helpful. Its a bit more expensive though…
Airalo and Holafly eSims have been banned by DoT as they are used by scammers :(

Prime minister's plane breaks down in Jamaica during family holiday

Military forced to send a second plane with mechanics to repair it
Jan 05, 2024

The Canadian Armed Forces was forced to send a second plane to Jamaica this week after the military aircraft that brought Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to the Caribbean island for a family vacation became "unserviceable," CBC News has learned.

Andrée-Anne Poulin, spokesperson for the Department of National Defence (DND), confirmed that two Royal Canadian Air Force CC-144 Challengers travelled to Jamaica.

"The first aircraft that transported the Prime Minister's party became unserviceable after arrival," she wrote in an e-mailed response. "The second aircraft brought a maintenance team to repair the first aircraft, and remained in the area as a back-up for the Prime Minister's departure, if necessary."

Trudeau had been scheduled to return to Canada on Jan. 4. Poulin said a maintenance issue was discovered on Jan. 2 during an inspection of the aircraft and the maintenance team was dispatched on Jan. 3 and "returned the aircraft to serviceability."

Trudeau's plane returned to Canada on Jan. 4.

The plane that brought Trudeau to Jamaica and the one that brought the maintenance crew to Jamaica are two of the military's newer Challenger aircraft, acquired in 2020.

So where's Canada's special envoy for combatting Hinduphobia? I guess some Canadians don't count as much, eh?

One thing that I have learnt from watching such programs over the last decade or so. Is that these people are the controlled opposition. They exist to fool the population into thinking change is possible.

When it's not.

Canada says drop in study permits to Indian students ‘unlikely' to rebound soon
Reuters, 17 Jan 2024

The number of study permits Canada issued to Indian students fell sharply late last year after India ejected Canadian diplomats who would process the permits and fewer Indian students applied due to a diplomatic dispute over the murder of a Sikh separatist leader in Canada, a top Canadian official told Reuters.
Immigration Minister Marc Miller added in an interview that he believes the number of study permits to Indians is unlikely to rebound soon. Diplomatic tensions erupted after Canada Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in June said there was evidence connecting Indian government agents to the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar in British Columbia
The tensions are likely to weigh on the numbers going forward, Miller said. "Our relationship with India has really halved our ability to process a lot of applications from India," Miller said.
In October, Canada was forced to pull 41 diplomats, or two-thirds of its staff, out of India on orders from New Delhi. In addition, the dispute has prompted Indian students to seek to study in other countries, a spokeswoman for the minister said.
Those factors led to an 86% drop in study permits issued to Indians in the fourth quarter of last year from the previous quarter, to 14,910 from 108,940, according to official data that have not been previously reported.

Dear Canadians, you only have to look at Pakistan to see what will happen if you harbour terrorists.

Dear Indians, you only have to look at Canada to see what will happen if you elect Rahul Gandhi.

Justin Trudeau says Donald Trump re-election ‘won’t be easy’ for Canada, it will be make life tough for Canada.

Canada sends 75% of its goods & services exports to the United States & when Trump came to power he vowed to renegotiate the free trade treaty that bound the United States-Canada

Trudeau even said "Trump returning to the White House would be a victory of populism".

Why don’t those given names sound like Hindu Panjabis?

They never do. But of course it is too politically incorrect to point that out. Canada needs more immigrants from this particular community. For politically correct motives.

This place is turning into Panjab.

It wouldn't babe a surprise if all these immigration, extortion, drug dealings, and criminal activities are being tolerated and the money trails are not being investigated because the final recipients are prominent Canadian political parties. Its a gigantic time bomb they are sitting on.

Then again, Canada has a history of letting such things happen, going all the way back to Kanishka.

Note the comments @ 2:27 -- "Brampton, Mississauga, and Surrey" -- so basically Punjabi-dominated areas are at the heart of the abuses/misuses of student visas.

Breaking News: Court Ruling: Federal Government acted illegally in responding to 2022 Freedom Convoy

The Trudeau regime is now in serious trouble.

This news is massive and vindicates all Canadians who stood their ground and held the line.

A proud moment for the Brave Canadians who did the right thing and I'm proud to have met Tamara Lich and Chris Barber and the other leaders of the Freedom Convoy while on my visit to Ottawa. Great people. Canada can be proud of those who resisted.

OTTAWA, ON: The Justice Centre is pleased to announce that the legal and constitutional challenge against the first-ever invocation of the Emergencies Act, filed as Jost et al. v. Canada, has been decided in favour of the citizens who participated in the peaceful 2022 Freedom Convoy in Ottawa.

The Justice Centre provided lawyers for these Canadians, who launched a court action within ten days of the Emergencies Act being invoked, and who sought a court declaration that the Emergencies Act was invoked without legal justification.
