5 intruders shot dead along Pak border in Punjab: BSF
Source: PTI - Edited By: Utkarsh Mishra, August 22, 2020

The Border Security Force shot dead five intruders along the India-Pakistan International Border in Punjab early Saturday, a senior BSF officer said.
This is the highest number of intruders killed in a single incident along the over 3,300 km-long border with Pakistan in more than a decade, officials said. Punjab shares a 553-km-long frontier with Pakistan, apart from Jammu, Rajasthan and Gujarat, who together constitute the remaining part of the International Border. The senior officer said 'alert troops of the 103rd battalion noticed suspicious movement of intruders violating the IB' in the Taran Taran district of Punjab. When asked to stop, the intruders fired on BSF troops who retaliated in self-defence. Subsequently, five intruders were shot dead, he said.
Another BSF official said the incident happened around 4.45 am near the 'dal' border post that is close to the Bhikhiwind town of the district.
BSF troops, officials said, first noticed suspicious activity at the border around midnight and launched a 'focussed' surveillance on the intruders and set up multiple ambushes along the front after which the 'contact was established' early morning, just behind the IB fence.

All India has to do is lay out at the FATF meeting how Pakistan has at various fora including FATF admitted to various terrorist persons and their activities in their country, how they have taken 'cosmetic measures' to show some compliance and promised more actions to escape immediate pressure and how later they have not done anything and have in fact allowed these terrorists free reign and has implicitly been involved in terrorist financing by allowing these individuals and their fronts to openly collect money and use it to do hawala dealings to finance cross border terrorism all over the world.

These Porkis think they are smart and will get away with it.

Two things (a) Pakistan will never be blacklisted by the FATF unless US wants it and (b) They will never extradite Dawood , he knows too many secrets and besides many industrialists, bollywood personalities and politicians in India would never want him back with the fear what he may spill.

But the question to ask if Pakis can lie on Kargil, Dawood Ibrahim gor 20 years, how the can the Pakis and thier allies in India tell the truth about our action accross the LoC by special forces and aircraft F16 loss and mythical Su 30 kill, missing Targets with PGM. The only thing which gone right for Pakis is that Wing Co. shoot down accross the LOC.

Pakistan's ISI using crime syndicates in France, Thailand to further its agenda
BANGKOK: Pakistan's intelligence agency, ISI, has been using the services of Pakistan crime syndicates operating in several countries, including France and Thailand, to further its agenda, according to a report in the Global Watch Analysis.
Recently, Thailand Police arrested a Pakistan national named Baqar Shah for his involvement in multiple illegal activities in the country including money laundering for the ISI.
He was first noticed by Thai authorities due to his involvement in organising an anti-American protest outside the US Consulate in Chiang Mai in September 2012. In February 2016, his name again surfaced when Thailand Police busted a major fake passport syndicate in the country and an Iranian national, Hamid Reza Jafary, and five Pakistanis were arrested.
The six of them were found to be involved in the supply of fake travel documents and human trafficking. It is to be noted that Jafary was on the wanted list of security agencies in several countries including the UK, France, Australia and New Zealand.
According to investigations, Jafary and his five Pakistani contacts were supplying forged passports that were being sold to people from Gulf countries for travel to Australia and Europe. During the probe, it was found that Gohar Zaman, one of the five Pakistanis in custody, had close links to Shah.
As the Thai security agency put Shah under close surveillance, they discovered that he maintained regular contact with officials from Pakistan Embassy in Bangkok and his restaurant was being used as a meeting point for Pakistani officials.
"Shah's main job appeared to be spotting potential assets for Pakistanis in the local police, immigration, customs and airlines and to develop contacts within the Muslim community in Chaing Mai and Mae Sot region," according to the report.
Shah was blacklisted by the Thai immigration for five years and deported to Pakistan in 2018. However, he managed to sneak back into Thailand under the guise of ISI mentors on a fresh passport in the name of Syed Baqar Ahmed Jaffri. However, Thailand Police tracked him down again and he is currently in custody.
A similar syndicate, pertaining to the supply of forged passports, is reported to be operational in France. A person with the initials B.H., who is controlling the syndicate, is believed to have connections at the Pakistani Embassy in Paris.
Citing sources, Global Watch Analysis reported that a Pakistani restaurant situated near Gare du Nord, the office of a welfare association in La Courneuve area and a travel agency in the 10th arrondissement in the Paris, are used as fronts to run the illegal activities of supplying Pakistani passports and resident permits of European countries including Portugal, Belgium and France.
The price for these identity cards and travel documents range between 850 to 1,500 Euros.
During investigations by the Global Watch Analysis, for instance, copies of fake travel documents held by a person linked to this network were found. The individual, who is based in France, has several British and Pakistani passports, all under different names.
Sources said the multiple passports would have enabled the person to hold several bank accounts and credit cards with French banks.
It is well known that ISI has links with several terror groups of "jihadist tendency". "It is not excluded that these type of criminal networks, manipulated by ISI's branches in the Western capitals, may provide their 'services' to members of the terrorist groups in question infiltrated in the West," the article concluded.

SM Qureshi's China trip solicited support to prevent FATF blacklisting for Pakistan.

Pakistan's Foreign Minister SM Qureshi's two-day "very imp trip" to China was not just aimed at securing support on Kashmir and CPEC but ensuring Beijing's support to prevent being blacklisted at the FATF meet in near future.

Pakistan sought China’s support at the forthcoming FATF meet to prevent being blacklisted during Qureshi’s meeting with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi last week, ET has reliably gathered.

China with support from Turkey and Malaysia have prevented Pakistan's blacklisting by FATF during the last two years. Three votes are necessary at the FATF meet to prevent blacklisting. China no longer holds rotating FATF Presidency. Dr. Marcus Pleyer of Germany assumed the position of President of the FATF on July 1. He succeeded Xiangmin Liu of China.

Pakistan has also sought Beijing’s support to be dropped from the FATF Grey List (He must be smoking some very pure maal from the ISI warehouse) given the state of its economy. Pakistan’s presence in the Grey List makes it difficult for the country to get financial aid from the IMF, the world Bank and the European Union, affecting its economy which is already facing a crisis . Saudi Arabia’s decision to end a loan and associated oil supply has worsened the situation further, persons tracking Pak economy told ET.

However, ET has learnt, Pakistan's exit from the current FATF Grey List will be less easier said than done despite "crackdown" on terrorists present in its territory. The apparent U-turn on Dawood Ibrahim may not help Islamabad’s case.

On Sunday Pakistan without naming Dawoood Ibrahim appeared to step back on his presence on their soil. Dawood was among 88 others who gured in a list, published as a Statutory Regulatory Order (SRO) by Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Aairs to escape blacklisting by FATF. Moving to avoid the FATF blacklist, Pakistan, via the SRO dated August 18, reproduced the terror listing of Dawood by the United Nations Security Council.

However, Sunday’s statement issued by Pakistan Foreign ministry brushed aside media reports which claimed that Islamabad had “admitted to the presence of certain listed individuals on its territory” as “baseless and misleading.” “The SROs issued reflect information contained in the list entry of UN designated individuals/entities. The reports in certain sections of the media about Pakistan imposing new sanctions measures, through these SROs, are not factual. Similarly, the assertions made by some sections of the Indian media, as to Pakistan admitting to the presence of certain listed individuals on its territory, based on the information contained in the SRO, are baseless and misleading,” the Pak statement added.

Besides Dawood, Lashkar-e-Toiba chief Haz Saeed, Lashkar’s operations head and 26/11 accused Zaki-ur-Rahman Lakhvi, Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar also gure on the list. All designated terrorists on the list will have no direct access to funds, be able to enter or transit through Pakistan, or be able to procure weapons.

In February, FATF gave Pakistan a four-month grace period to complete its 27-point action plan against money laundering and terror nancing. FATF warned Pakistan of serious action during its plenary meeting held in Paris from February 16-21 as it directed that the country would continue to remain in the Grey List.

Pakistani ambassdor to Indonesia sold embassy building :rotfl:

2020-08-22

Pakistan's National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday filed a reference in court against Major General (retd) Syed Mustafa Anwar, the country's former ambassador to Indonesia.

In its reference to the accountability court, the NAB has stated that Anwar sold the Pakistani embassy building in Jakarta at a throwaway price during 2001-2002. The country's top graft body went on to add that the illegal sale of the embassy building resulted in a loss of USD 1.32 million to the exchequer.

According to a report by The Express Tribune, NAB's findings revealed that former ambassador Anwar was determined to sell the embassy building almost immediately after his appointment in Jakarta. For this purpose, he authorised an advertisement for the sale of the embassy building without the prior approval of the Pakistan Foreign Ministry.

It was only after the commencement of the process of sale did Anwar sent a proposal to the Foreign Ministry regarding the sale. The Foreign Ministry had, in turn, outlawed the sale of the embassy building in Jakarta and communicated the same to Anwar in multiple letters.

The NAB has found Major General (retd) Syed Mustafa Anwar guilty under Section 9 (A) 6 of Pakistan's National Accountability Ordinance for misuse of powers.

Reports in Pakistan's media outlets have also pointed out that the country's Supreme Court itself held the NAB office responsible for delay in filing references in corruption cases. The Chief Justice had, in fact, went on to add that NAB officials were not competent enough to conduct proper inquiries

So an ex army officer fraudulently sold Pakistani government property in 2001 and they are now trying to do something about it? The Pakjabi higher ups would have received their cut and must have ensured that accountability process did not start for a good 2 decades. The retd Major General must be dead and busy with his share of 72 sex starved mullahs now. :rotfl:

I wrote a three part blog series on this some years ago. What is happening here is no new thing!

State Sponsored Radicalization in Pakistan’s School Curriculum: Part 1 of 3
The Islamic education thus introduced by Bhutto was made further rigid during the rule of Gen Zia ul Haq. Under Zia, education quickly became a tool of indoctrination and the means for the construction of a parochial Islamic/Pakistani identity. A National Education Policy and Implementation Program was announced in 1979, which stated: “The highest priority would be given to the revision of the curricula with a view to reorganizing the entire content around Islamic thought and giving education an ideological orientation so that Islamic ideology permeates the thinking of the younger generation and helps them with the necessary conviction and ability to refashion society according to Islamic tenets”
State Sponsored Radicalization in Pakistan’s School Curriculum: Part 2 of 3
Together, the above mentioned factors create a sense of ‘exclusiveness’ in the students at a very young age. With the stage thus set, the curriculum goes about infusing a sense of hatred towards India and Hindus in the impressionable minds. This fits in perfectly with the stated policy of perpetual enmity with India and the ideology of Pakistan coupled with the Two Nation Theory that led to the creation of Pakistan in the first place. The following excerpts from Pakistani school textbooks illustrate a method in madness wherein the Nation State is actively feeding wrong information to its children, leading to a radicalized society[11]:-

(i) Hindus worship in temples which are very narrow and dark places, where they worship idols. Only one person can enter the temple at a time. In our mosques, on the other hand, all Muslims can say their prayers together.

(ii) This division of men [among Aryans] into different castes is the worst example of tyranny in the history of the world. In course of time the Aryans began to be called the Hindus

(iii) The Hindus lived in small and dark houses. Child marriage was common in those days. Women were assigned a low position in society. In case the husband of a woman died, she was burnt alive with his dead body. This was called ‘sati’. The killing of shudras was not punished, but the murder of a Brahman was a serious crime.

(iv) Hindus thought that there was no country other than India, nor any people other than the Indians, nor did anyone else possess any knowledge.

(v) Hindus very cunningly succeeded in making the British believe that the Muslims were solely responsible for the [1857] rebellion.

(vi) The Quaid saw through the machinations of the Hindus.

(vii) The religion of the Hindus did not teach them good things. The Hindus did not respect women.

(viii) The Hindus always desired to crush the Muslims as a nation. Several attempts were made by the Hindus to erase the Muslim culture and civilization. Hindi-Urdu controversy, shudhi and sangathan movements are the most glaring examples of the ignoble Hindu mentality.

(ix) The caste system of the Hindus had made the life of the common people miserable. They were treated like animals. Nobody could claim equality with Brahmins.

(x) The Hindus who have always been opportunists cooperated with the English

(xi) The Hindus praised the British rule and its blessings in their speeches. The Hindus had the upper hand in the Congress and they established good relations with the British. This party tried its best to safeguard the interests of the Hindus. Gradually it became purely a Hindu organization. Most of the Hindu leaders of the Congress were not prepared to tolerate the presence of the Muslims in the sub-continent. They demanded that the Muslims should either embrace Hinduism or leave the country. The party was so close to the Government that it would not let the Government do any work as would be of benefit to the Muslims. The partition of Bengal can be quoted as an example.

(xii) The British confiscated all lands [from the Muslims] and gave them to Hindus [This is stated despite the fact that all the large feudal lords in the part that later formed Pakistan were Muslims]
.
.
World over, govts use education as a means to assist in the process of nation building. However, Pakistan is a different case in that for much of its history it has been directly ruled by its military. Even the periods of civil rule saw the military retain a significant say in critical affairs of the govt. Add to this the fact that the Pakistani military’s record on battlefield is not much to talk about, and one can put into perspective the glorification of the armed forces being fed to the children of Pakistan from very young age.
Part 3 of 3

In words of Mr Karamat Ali, the executive director of the Pakistan Institute of Labour Education and Research, “I have heard of cases where Muslim students ask non-Muslim high achievers: Why don’t you convert to our religion? And it is not just Muslims and Hindus, but also Shias who are given this treatment. This is because of the horrifying myths about people of other faiths that we fill our children with.”

In 2006, Pakistan finally revised its curricula guidelines, removing a lot of negatives, while retaining others. However, new textbooks in conformity with the new guidelines have still not been created and published.[5] In fact, a review of curriculum indicated that more than doubled since the last time they were revised. For example, some 30 Grade 5 to 10 textbooks published in Punjab, examined in 2009, were found to have 12 instances of biased material that could be considered “hate content.” In 2012, the textbooks underwent a curriculum revision. After another review, the total number of quantifiable instances of questionable or factually incorrect material went up to 33.[6] In fact, in 2004 the Information Minister of the Govt of Pakistan was forced to apologise to the religious parties in the National Assemby after the Education Minister questioned the relevance of verses glorifying Jihad in Class XI Biology textbooks.[7] Such is the uphill battle that faces curriculum reform in Pakistan.

US to probe Pak’s ISIS terrorists in Syria, may complicate Imran Khan woes
extracts
The US backed and predominantly Kurd Syrian Democratic Forces have shared a list of 29 Pakistanis among others who are in their custody for fighting for the Islamic State, the ultra-conservative radical Sunni movement that swept Iraq-Syria in the past decade. The shortlist, according to counter-terror officials in Delhi and Washington, include four Pakistanis who had acquired citizenship of another country such as Turkey and Sudan. Nine of the 29 captured ISIS fighters are women.

“The American security forces are currently interrogating these Pakistani nationals including who sent them to fight for IS in Syria and their past affiliations with terrorist groups like the Al Qaida or any other pan-Islamic group based in Pakistan. As the Pakistani deep state is involved with the so-called Islamic State of Khorasan Province in Afghanistan, the interrogation will also reveal its role if any,” said a counter-terror official in know of the list.

Here's the real reason why loudmouth Pir Qureshi rushed over to China and why no one from the Chinese side was there in an official capacity to receive him. Apparently China has halted all funding to SeePak because of the fear of being branded a money-laundering and bribing nation.

either some one more powerful and more connected from the paki army is muscling in on "asim bajaoed's" CPEC job. This new guy has to be a very secure army chief bajwa's favorite.

or the hans got tired of "asim bajaoed's" demands and so they "bajaoed" him and this is a warning to the paki army that the chinese are as capable of palace coups in pukistan as the paki army themselves.

that "asim bajaoed's" family is running a chain of restaurants in the US was news that has been floating around the paki parts of the SM for the better part of a year now.

Wonder why they dont own KFC or Chinese food.
It is Papa John (not Pizza Hut; they have filed for bankruptcy)
It is hard to get KFC franchise; much easier to get Papa John's
KFC requires USD 1.2 - 2.5 million initial investment to start franchise
papa johns requires USD 230k - 850k max initial investment

Not sure who the Bajwa's laundered money from CPEC and US AID into the United States. Did they use the EB5 route to get the son's US PR?

I was under the impression the IRS investigates large deposits.

You are expecting Normal Rules for the Well connected and think the West is totally fair- your assumptions are totally wrong. A normal Indian or even a Pakistani will have to go through a lot of procedures, but Dawood Daughter with the kind of people they deal with Interpol notices never had any trouble flying in shopping, socializing and flying out of the UK.

A whole lot of Indians think some countries are squeaky clean, rules for public are rules for all - they need to get rid of such notions. There are always loopholes and wink wink for well connected. And if you have Bajwa's son- you control Bajwa.

The Bajwa company that owns over hundred Papa Johns/Dairy Queen franchises is run by his elder brother, Nadeem Bajwa, who is a naturalized US citizen. Asim Bajwa's son is partner in the company and the paki general must have funneled millions into this business through his son. Pakis in west are notorious for "chain immigration", so its quite possible Gen Bajwa's son must have married one of his Amreeki first cousins to get the greencard.

This sudden development of multiple crore-commandos being charged with corruption may have threads going back to the palace revolt in late 2019 when many senior generals were against the extension of COAS Qamar Bajwa's term, and when the case made it to the courts,Im-the-Dim had to flip and double flip to allow the reappointment. Many then had suspected that the sudden display of a strong spine shown by Pakistani courts were because the chief justices had strong backing of one section of ISI that was against Qamar Bajwa's faction. I guess the recent investigations is likely Qamar Bajwa trying to get back at those who betrayed him.

Pak beats the Atal tunnel with their own:

BSF detects 20-ft-long tunnel along India-Pak border in Jammu
By Neelabh Srivastava, August 29, 2020

The Border Security Force has detected a tunnel, originating from Pakistan, just beneath the Indo-Pak international border fence in Jammu, officials said on Saturday.
The force has launched a major search operation in the area to look for other such hidden structures that aid infiltration even as it analyses the about 3-4 feet wide structure that could be used for pushing terrorists and smuggling of narcotics and arms, they said.
BSF Director General Rakesh Asthana has directed his frontier commanders to ensure that the anti-infiltration grid is intact and there are no gaps along this front, they added.
The tunnel, about 50 metres from the border fence on the Indian side, was located by a BSF patrol on Thursday in the Galar area of Samba sector in Jammu. The force found that 8-10 plastic sandbags stuffed in the tunnel's mouth had "Pakistani markings" on them, officials said.
A senior official said BSF troops got suspicious after noticing the sinking of earth at some places in a farmer's field due to recent incessant rains.

7 suspected rebels, 1 Indian soldier killed in Kashmir

Code: Select all

SRINAGAR, India (AP) — Seven suspected rebels and an Indian army soldier were killed in two gunbattles in Indian-administered Kashmir in the last 24 hours, officials said Saturday.

Three militants and a soldier died early Saturday after troops and police launched a search operation in a village in southern Pulwama district, said Col. Rajesh Kalia, an Indian army spokesperson. He said troops recovered an assault rifle and two pistols from the slain militants.

On Friday, joint teams of army, paramilitary and police forces cordoned off a village in southern Shopian district following a tip that militants were hiding there, leading to an exchange of fire, police said.

Four militants were killed and another was arrested during the operation, a police statement said. It said troops seized two automatic rifles and three pistols from the site of the fighting.

speculation in paki circles seems to be rising about a coup in pukiland with duffer i k niazi being replaced by saudi backed gen raheel sharif.

that explains qureshi's panicked trip to han land at the behest of niazi as also the upending of the CPEC bajwa's applecart

will the peerni call up her pet sprits now or will i k niazi rely, as usual, on the more reliable bottled variety
