^^^ Too early for Patil to extrapolate. CongI and Maywati are onto something finally. Baba Ramdev's Gaffe will affect the Dalit swing towards the BJP. A blot in the otherwise perfect campaign by NaMo and the BJP. BJP needs to bring in Ramvilas Paswan to repair the damage.

The media will definitely try to exploit this, but will it have an effect on the ground? Particularly in the remaining UP and Bihar seats. Little would be my guess.

Since when did Dalits in UP/Bihar read FirstPost? Read Tavleen Singh. She says the best political discourse happens in chai-shops at Asi Ghat, Varanasi and she is right.

I am Dhoti Shivering since if the above is true, I am indeed not just witnessing history but am part of it. I witnessed it before and witnessing it again. Never imagined I will see it twice in my life time (and both times contributing in small and big ways).

Saar, the entire article is written by Pallavi Polanki ( just check out her earlier stories) and quotes Kumar Ketkar ( another well known stalwart in BR circles) for all the gyaan. So, take it with as much importance as what Sanjay Jha/Zero-loss Sibal says!

Okay, seems like we have two goof ups.

One is BR has handed an hammer to the Mafia.

Two, seems like NaMo charge of 1.8 Cr painting has no backing evidence. SS looking silly on TimeNow.

Since, NaMo has all clear from SC SIT, he can convey to TMC that he'll sue them for "butcher of Gujarat" type charge.

Have to call it even and climb down.

Two goof-ups in Serampore - 1) painting, 2) illegal Bdeshis. The first money went to charity - sensitive issue. Also saying expel Bdeshis in WB is counter-productive as there are millions of Hindu illegals. Should have attacked on slow progress by TMC on development and industry.

SRoy ji - why the Dhoti/Veshti shivering? For CONgis anything with handle looks like hammer. BR has said or done nothing that the dalits will move en masse away from BJP!! All the talk about is garaam hawa.

SS always looks silly on TimesNow. Even in parliament she passes silly comments like - "Do not forget this Chinamma". By the great Dr S's. ala-whori logic, Jo Parliament mein silly woh TimesNow mein bhi silly.

NaMo charge on 1.8 Cr painting does not have to have a backing evidence. It is a metaphor to the Bengali loosers (to chit fund) that all your money went to buy that painting. It is the association with Sarada Chit Fund and Mamata that needs to stick.

Painting gaffe even if damaging will be local....but "Honeymoon" damage could be felt across N India. Dalits may not follow media but Mayawati will make sure it is spread at nukkad level. Point is not the damage done by one or two comments but the possibility that the initiative could be getting passed to CongI.

CongI dirty tricks department finally getting it's act together. Thankfully 2/3rd election is already over.

Expectation is zero seats from Bengal. Elections to almost 2/3rd of LS seats already over. What happens in Bengal does not happen in Guj. So all this high octane campaign is to put Mamata Didi on backfoot and tie her down with secularitis. Look at Omar imploding with a full blown case of Secularitis progressing to Cashmeriyat.

Paul'ji - why the Dhoti Shiver? Moi Dhoti is shivering for a different reason (it is an exhilarating Dhoti Shivering onlee).

The painting gaffe will not have any local issue. Only worry is whether the TMC bluffing of defamation suit has any legal case or not. I don't wish that NaMo and company gets tied down for fire fighting at local EC office.

The illegal BD isssue has been crudely put, it may turn off the very people that are potential BJP vote bank...Hindus that have fled BD.
Either RSS and BJP brass at large grows a pair of balls and say the treatment is for Muslim illegals or stay quite.

BR's Dalit gaffe need to handled by RSS at street level at highest priority. This election is not the end.

This charge was first made by Left Front leader Biman Bose. Subranyam Swamy & BJP failed in research and came out bad & bumbling. All Subramanyan Swamy had to do is refer to this statement.

Referring to allegations that Saradha scam mastermind Sudipta Sen had purchased a painting of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for Rs.1.86 crore, Bose said: “The money was paid from the Sen family’s joint account. If such things come out, some people may be in trouble.”

I always felt BR is an unnecessary baggage in NaMo's team. It is people like these who have nothing to contribute except huge potential for gaffe who will do more damage to NaMo's campaign as well as his rule in the near future.
