Indian Army strikes back, destroys Pakistani posts along LoC

Do visit the link to see the video.
The Indian Army on Tuesday announced that they decimated a Pakistan Army post in the Nowshera sector by carrying out fire assaults on the Line of Control as part of its anti-terror operations.

A top Army official said on Tuesday that the assaults were carried out recently as Pakistani posts were supporting infiltration inside India.

Additional Director General Public Information Maj Gen Ashok Narula said a video of the strike had been released.

“The Pakistan Army has been providing support to armed infiltrators by engaging the Indian Army forward troops from their weapons emplacements and pill boxes closer to the LoC,” Maj General Narula said.

He added that the recent action in Nowshera has caused damage to the Pakistan Army posts, which were supporting infiltration.

Maj. Gen. Narula also said that Rocket Launchers, Anti Tank Guided Missiles, Automated Grenade Launchers and recoilless guns were used to carry out the operation. He further said that as the snow in the Valley melts and the blockage on the passes opens, increase in infiltration will be expected.

“The Indian Army proactively dominates the LoC; we want peace and tranquility in the state of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said

Meanwhile, Nawaz Sharif has called for an accord among the Muslim countries to eliminate the menace of terrorism affecting world peace.

"With a financial cost of around $120 billion and (loss of) thousands of precious human lives, Pakistan has suffered a lot due to this scourge," Sharif told reporters in Saudi Arabia

"The western world was uniting against terrorism, the Muslim world should also be on the same page to tackle the threat," he said.
Clearly, he is trying to milk the other Muslim nations. Pakistaniyat, unashamed and fraudulent begging bowl, on display.

Trump proposes to convert US grant to Pakistan into loan - PTI
US President Donald Trump has proposed in his annual budget to the Congress to convert US grant to Pakistan for purchase of military hardware into a loan, the White House said.

However, the Trump administration has left it for the State Department to take a final call on the proposal.

Responding to questions, Mick Mulvaney, Director of the Office of Management of Budget in the White House said the Trump administration has proposed to convert its Foreign Military Funding (FMF) programme to many countries, including Pakistan, from aid to financial loan.

"The Foreign Military Funding or FMF for Pakistan may be provided in the form of a loan," said Mulvaney.

"This is one of the options that the administration had explored in its internal deliberations, but the request itself does not make that determination," the White House later clarified, indicating that it might revert back to the original financial grant to Pakistan to sell military hardware if need be.

Whether the funding is provided through grants, or as a subsidy for a guaranteed loan, is an option the State Department can exercise to ensure our foreign assistance best supports US' national interests, the White House added.

The move is seen as part of the Trump administration's efforts to cut foreign aid budgets to help pay for increased US military spending.

However, for countries like Israel and Egypt, its military aid would continue to be in the form of grant, Mulvaney said.

The details of the FMF to Pakistan and other countries are expected to be released by the State Department later.

"We do maintain aid to Pakistan in the budget. I don't believe it's at the same levels as previous," he said in response to a question.
With many backers in the State Department & the Pentagon, Pakistan might still pull through.

This motion isn't going anywhere. Foggy Bottom is full of Pak lovers, also even if line-itemized as a loan, who is going to collect from the Pakis?

Of course!
Pakistan Army on Tuesday denied claims by the Indian Army that the latter had carried out an 'operation' on Pakistani posts along the Line of Control (LoC).

Balochistan govt claims arresting 'mastermind' behind major terrorism incidents in recent past

AoA. All of Pakistan's problems are solved. There would no more be any terror attacks within Pakistan. Problem solved.
The Balochistan government on Tuesday claimed to have apprehended the suspected mastermind behind recent terror activities in the provincial capital, DawnNews reported.

Balochistan Home Minister Sarfaraz Bugti, while addressing a press conference in Quetta, informed the media persons that two colleagues of the alleged mastermind were also arrested by the security agencies. “The main suspect is the commander of a banned militant group,” he added.

The suspects were allegedly involved in the recent attacks on lawyers, attack on police cadets and other terrorist activities in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan, said the home minister.

On this occasion, a video statement of the arrested suspect was also played before the journalists.

In the video statement, the arrested suspect confessed to committing all major acts of terrorism in Quetta in the recent past.

The suspect, identified as Saeed Ahmed alias Taqva, confessed to the killing of Barrister Amanullah Achakzai, the principal law college Bilal Anwar Kasi advocate, the president Balochistan Bar Association and others.

During his video confession, the suspect claimed that he was trained by the Afghan and Indian intelligence agencies.

He also confessed to facilitating the suicide bombing at Civil Hospital, which claimed the lives of more than 70 people including 54 members of legal fraternity on August 8, 2016.

The accused also facilitated the bombing at Shah Noorani shrine on November 13, 2016, in Khuzdar district.

Sarfaraz Bugti said the mastermind of the terrorist incident is the commander of a banned militant group.

Salman Abedi identified as Manchester terror attacker, US officials claim

The suspected suicide bomber who killed 22 people and injured more than 100 at a concert in Manchester has been identified as a British-Libyan man name Salman Abedi.

Twenty-two people were killed – many of them expected to be young – after a bomb exploded at an Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena late on Monday night.

It is the worst terror attack on British soil since the 7/7 bombings in 2005.

Isis has claimed responsibility for the attack – but the claim has yet to be verified.

According to US officials, British authorities identified the suspect shortly before armed officers raided an address three miles south of Manchester city centre, ordering residents indoors as they carried out a controlled explosion.

Elsmore Road, where Abedi was registered as living, became the centre of the investigation into Monday’s outrage as detectives hunted those thought to be behind the blast.

According to the Telegraph, Abedi is the second youngest of four children.

His parents were Libyan refugees who are thought to have come to the UK during the Gaddafi regime.

The paper also reports that two of Abedi’s three siblings are called Hashem, who is 20, and Jomama, 18.

Abedi grew up in the Whalley Range area where earlier today police could be seen outside a block of flats.

Local residents who live on the red-bricked semi-detached street said they know little about the person or persons who reside at the address.

Although British authorities have not named the suspected bomber, a US official – apparently briefed by British counterparts – identified him as Salmon Ramadan Abedi, according to NBC News

British police had earlier requested the identity of the suspected bomber be keep secret.

Details of the victims have also begun to emerge.

An eight-year-old girl and a college student were among the first to be named.

Saffie Roussos, eight, who was killed in the attack, was described by the headteacher at her school in Preston as a “beautiful little girl“.

Only two agencies. .
CIA and Mossad need performance assessment for not being named in these `confessional videos` TV series.

La-Whori Lawyers Deny Justice To Female Stab Victim.

Mother of girl who was stabbed 23 times says lawyers harassing them
The mother of a girl who was stabbed 23 times in broad daylight on Davis Road last year says around 70 lawyers are always harassing us when we visit the court for hearings. She has appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to provide justice. Khadija Siddiqi, a student of LLB at The Institute of Legal Studies, was stabbed on May 3, 2016 - by Shah Hussain - son of a senior and influential advocate, Tanvir Hashmi.
In the spirit of "true Pakistaniyat", and as a blot against the noble profession of "providing justice" , the legal fraternity of Lahore, is showing solidarity with the son of a senior and influential advocate, Tanvir Hashmi . The Pakistan Bar Association, if it has the guts , should immediately step in and redress the injustice ! . (Sometime ago, a world -famous author , in his best -seller book on Pakistan and other Islamic countries, had remarked that in Pakistan, people who have "money" , and people who have "names", have it good ! For everyone else, this place is hell ! This appears to be such a case !)
Her case was to be heard in a local court in Lahore. today but due to the transfer of the original judge and unavailability of the second judge the case has been postponed till June 7. “The lawyers’ community is harassing us, so how will my daughter get justice,” said the mother.
In Khadija’s words, the incident has left a scar on her soul. “I have been raising this issue since a long time but I have not received the support I need. This proves how everyone takes such issues, even ladies,” she added. Regarding the culprit who stabbed her, she said, “His father has strong ties with Pakistan Peoples Party’s Jahangir Badar. Being from the lawyer’s field he has links in the lawyers’ fraternity too.”
The mother should approach Maryam Sharif, d/o Ganja Sharif , who is the self appointed protector of "Paki females" . And she is not from PPP. Maybe, something should come out of it .
Few days ago, MPA Uzma Bukhari raised Khadija’s case in the Punjab Provincial Assembly, where she had to walkout in protest when she was not being heard by the Speaker of the Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal.
In the assembly she had stated that Khadija Siddiqi, who was stabbed 23 times by her class fellow, was looking towards us for justice. Justice needs to be provided soon, otherwise there will be many more Khadijas. While the Speaker of the house said that your voice has been heard but present a resolution or motion on.While speaking to The Nation Uzma Bukhari said, “No one is ready to talk in the assembly about this case. The speaker also turned his face away when I was speaking about it and said bring a resolution and then we will see to it. Why are we not willing to help girls like Khadija out? She should be provided justice at all cost. We should stand with her to show solidarity because she is taking a stand against very strong people. This should be taken a movement like all other countries.” In Pakistan, sifarish wins any time !. Also, accusations may have been raised against the victim that may have deserved this , as her place should be at home- and behind four walls - and not at the university !
MPA Pakistan People’s Party Faiza Malik while speaking to The Nation said, “We applaud Uzma Bukhari for raising this issue but her husband is an advisor to the CM Punjab. He can easily talk to the CM and tell him of the case. The unfortunate part is the government is involved in protecting the influential. The CM is always going for a photoshoot when such incidents happen then why did he not go to Khadija’s house?”

Lecturing And Preaching By The De-Facto Prime Minister Of Pakistan !

No restriction on social media but unbridled freedom unacceptable: Nisar
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Tuesday said no restriction would be imposed on social media but at the same time unbridled freedom could not be allowed. Ganja's close confidante and hatchet -man for the Paki Fauj , can afford to preach to the unwashed Aam Abduls, who have nowhere to go . Him being the holder of dual nationality ( and passport ) , his loyalty to Pakiland will always be suspect . When things will really heat up ( as it will ) he and his family will be the first one to catch a plane to Massaland

Abedi is also a Pak name. Don't forget Agha Hussein Abedi, the founder and mastermind criminal behind the Bank of Credit & Commerce International (BCCI), which was basically a money laundering and terror financing operation for the ISI in the 1980s.

The CSS debacle

The final results of the Central Superior Services (CSS) examination have stirred a debate on why the once highly competitive race for filling vacancies for entry into the federal bureaucracy is running out of steam. Much of the debate has centred on the supply side, that is, the falling education standards in the country as well as the medium of the examination – English. The dismal CSS results, which for sure is not a one-off phenomenon, need to be seen from the demand side perspective as reflective of the larger cultural, economic and political changes that the country is in the throes of.

Like any other contest, the competitiveness of the CSS examination is chiefly contingent upon the value of the prize in the eye of the contestants – both actual and potential. In case the pay-off is deemed to be high, the competition will be fierce, attracting the best of the eligible candidates. By contrast, if the pay-off is regarded as not worth serious effort, the quality of the competition will go down. Besides, the pay-off is considered in a relative sense. While setting a high or low value on a prize, the contestants also take into account other similar prizes at which they can have a go.

The prize, when it comes to the CSS exam, is recruitment as a civil servant. In a larger sense, however, the prize is a rewarding life-long career. It follows, therefore, that the competitiveness of the CSS exam depends, more than any other factor, on the prestige that the institution of civil service commands relative to other career choices. That prestige, in turn, is a function of a set of political, economic and cultural factors.

Before taking stock of these factors, a few sentences about the working of the civil service seem in order. Max Weber famously characterised the civil service or the bureaucracy as the ‘legal-rational authority’. The word ‘legal’ signifies that a civil servant’s discretion in the matter on hand is constrained by the relevant laws, rules and precedents. Rather than being arbitrary, the decision taken or the input provided for decision-making by a civil servant must be legally correct.

The word ‘rational’ implies that the ‘case’ is examined thoroughly and dispassionately and that the recommendation or decision is in keeping with the best available evidence. Prejudices as well as biases, fears and favours should not bear upon the disposal of cases.

The strengths and weaknesses of the civil service lies in being legal and rational. While these characteristics enable civil servants to discharge their functions in a professional and merit-oriented manner, too strong a commitment to rules, decorum and precedents breeds excessive formalism and a deep concern for observing the hierarchy. This prevents them from thinking out-of-the-box and so they adapt themselves to the emerging norms of organisational behaviour. In most of the government offices in Pakistan, for example, the manual file system and the tall organisational structure are still in vogue, which delays decision-making in an era in which time is of essence.

Over the years, the prestige of the civil service in Pakistan has gone downhill. An institution’s relative prestige depends on three indicators: the authority it wields, the perks and privileges its members enjoy and its perceived contribution to the social good. In the case of the civil service, all three indicators have declined.

The role of the state has shrunk under the influence of neo-liberalism – the most powerful contemporary socio-economic doctrine. In the neo-liberal worldview, the state is a necessary evil; therefore, its functions are kept at a minimum – ideally confined to maintaining law and order, enforcing contracts and collecting revenue. Instead, the private sector (businesses) and the civil society assume a more important role.

In Pakistan as well several activities that were once regarded as among the core functions of the state – education, health, transport etc – have been transferred to businesses or the civil society.T he government still runs schools and hospitals but the quality and predictability of their services comes under question from time to time. The same goes for the state-owned Pakistan Railways and the national air carrier. The lack of quality services provided by public-sector enterprises together with their bad financial health strengthens the case for privatisation, which is seen as undermining the bureaucratic authority.

As part of the opening up of the economy under multilateral commitments, customs tariffs have been scaled down, import licensing done away with and greater transparency in the economic management introduced. The government is increasingly being seen as more of a facilitator than a controller or organiser of the economic activity. Such developments have curtailed the bureaucracy’s legitimate powers as well as the rent-seeking that was derived from it.

A couple of other related developments have also dented the bureaucracy’s relative prestige. One, the public sector no longer enjoys monopoly over job creation. Over the past two decades, not only has the private sector expanded substantially but the job base has also widened considerably. As a result, young people today have a greater variety of jobs to choose from compared to their predecessors.

Two, wealth has become the capital determinant of status and the principal instrument of power. Although in the past as well civil servants earned less than other professionals, their position was regarded as more prestigious in view of the authority they wielded.

To top it all, the civil service has been heavily politicised and demoralised. Owing to the growing culture of political patronage and favouritism, the distinction between demonstrating accountability towards a person and an institution and displaying loyalty towards public interest and a political party has been eroded over the years. Against their call of duty, civil servants are expected by their political masters to remain loyal to a political party rather than to public interest. They are expected to remain obedient to a person instead of the law. From a public service institution, the bureaucracy has been reduced to an agency of political patronage.

In the absence of any definite rule in respect of their term of office, civil servants find themselves in an insecure position. This sense of insecurity is one of the reasons – and, in many cases, the major one – that makes them comply with the wishes, fair or foul, of influential quarters.

Politicisation has also impaired the bureaucracy’s professionalism.

The politician-bureaucrat alliance has done much to write off the civil service’s credibility in society. There is a growing perception that civil servants are neither interested in nor capable of serving with competence and integrity. A case in point are the critical observations contained in the Supreme Court’s verdict in the Panama leaks case about some public-sector departments. Political parties have also expressed doubts with regard to the independent working of the joint investigation team that has been constituted in pursuance of the verdict.

The combined effect of the aforementioned factors is that civil service is no longer the career choice of those who perform well in academics, leaving largely the mediocre to compete for the once coveted positions.

Islamic State claims responsibility for Manchester attack

MANCHESTER: Islamic State claimed responsibility for Monday’s deadly attack at the Manchester Arena and said it was carried out with an explosive device planted at the concert, according to a statement the group posted on Telegram.

“One of the soldiers of the Caliphate was able to place an explosive device within a gathering of the Crusaders in the city of Manchester,” the statement said.

British police said on Tuesday they had arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with the attack. “With regards to the ongoing investigation into last night’s horrific attack at the Manchester Arena, we can confirm we have arrested a 23-year-old man in South Manchester,” police said in a statement.

At least 22 people were killed in a suicide bombing at a pop concert in the British city of Manchester, the country’s deadliest terror attack in 12 years. Screaming fans, many of them teenagers, fled the venue in panic after the bomb blast, which came at the end of a concert by US star Ariana Grande in the northern English city late on Monday.

Ridiculing Ganja Sharif Lands Imran Khan In Legal Trouble .

ECP rejects Imran’s plea to indefinitely postpone funding case
SLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday rejected Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s petition in the party funding case. During hearing of the case, a four-member bench, headed by Chief Election Commissioner Justice (retd) Sardar Muhammad Raza, also ordered  Imran Khan to file his reply by June 7.
The court was hearing the petition filed by a common man,( enquiring readers want to know if the backer of the so-called common man is one of Ganja's minions!) identified as Hashim Bhutta. In the petition, Bhutta had claimed that Imran Khan should be disqualified from the upcoming elections as the certificates provided by him in his party’s funding case are false and that the leader has lied before the ECP.
Imran Khan’s lawyer, Shahid Gondal, argued that a similar petition has also been filed by Hanif Abbasi in the Supreme Court. To which, Bhutta’s lawyer, Advocate Sharafat Chaudhry said that the petition filed by Abbasi is different from that of his client. Immy Khan has " lots of zionist funding" coming from Londonistan ; so there should not be any problem of payment of various legal expenses !
Chaudhry also remarked that Supreme Court has not stopped ECP from hearing this case. He claimed that Imran Khan acquired funds for his political party through unfair means.Imran Khan’s lawyer also said that he has already submitted a certificate verifying that the funds were not illegal. Imran Khan should have thought twice, before he married a person of Jewish Origins . Now this decision that he made, is an obstacle to his political career in "Islamic Pakistan" . But, when you are young and randy, you do not have "control over your hormones"
The bench also asked Imran’s lawyer, “What is the problem in giving us the answer to what we have asked from you?” PTI failed to submit party's account details in ECP. To which he replied, that a similar reply has been submitted to the Supreme Court. He then requested the court to postpone the hearing indefinitely. The bench reserved its verdict on the petition and said they will give it after break.Later, the bench announced that it rejects Imran Khan’s plea and ordered the leader till June 7 to submit his reply. After the reply comes, then the commission will deliberate whether to postpone the case indefinitely or not, the ECP court ordered. It is essential to understand - and Imran being an Oxford graduate should !- that the Paki Court System ( at all levels ) is essentially a "tool in the hands of those in power" ( happens to be Nawaz Sharif at the moment )- and it can be used indiscriminately against political opponents. Imran is the latest victim! Ganja is essentially saying - behave or else .....

" Kidney Tourism " ( A.K.A Kidney Harvesting Cum Kidney Transplant ) A Thriving, Lucrative And Illegal Business In Pakistan .

Several villagers surviving on single kidney in Punjab: police report
A report submitted by police today in country’s top court disclosed existence of several such villages across Punjab where people are living with only a single Kidney. According to details, Supreme Court (SC) resumed hearing of suo moto notice on illegal organ harvesting. The 53-page-report was compiled by Islamabad Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sajid Kyani. The report stated that illegal kidney transplant is rampant in parts of country including Islamabad, Azad Jammu And Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit Baltistan whereas several registered organizations are also involved in this illicit practice.
The report further narrated that only Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) can take action against those registered organizations involved in this appalling practice whereas Islamabad does not fall in jurisdiction of ordinance which terms illegal sale of kidney a punishable offence.
....in which he had said that transplant tourism, in which kidney patients living abroad visit Pakistan for the purpose of transplantation with vended organs, was earning the country a bad name. as if Pakistan had a "good name " before this racket !

^^ Basically, from now on, 200 million Chinese Hans have four-four kidneys each... two in the body, two in the CPEC organ bank

On the plus side this is an incentive for the Chinese to keep the herd... I mean, their momeen Pakistani brethren well-fed, watered, and relatively healthy.

Nawaz ‘disgraced’ during ‘ineffective’ three-day tour to Saudi Arabia: Imran
The PTI chief, speaking to the media, accused the prime minister of failing to take a stand for Pakistan and other Muslim communities, including Iran, Kashmir and Palestine, during his interactions in Riyadh.
Imran said Nawaz was ignored at the summit and was not allowed to deliver a speech as ‘he has no dignity’.
Nawaz Sharif lacks self-esteem therefore no one gives him respect
US President Trump failed to mention the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in the war against terror while Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif failed to correct him.
Trump did not even mention Pakistan :((
instead Trump praised India.
Trump had named India among the countries that are a ‘victims of terrorism’
“He [Trump] praised India for making sacrifices and did not speak about the atrocities being committed against the Kashmiris ... he did not speak about Palestinians”
awaz was representing Pakistan at the summit, it was his duty to emphasise that Pakistan does not want Iran to be isolated. “We had an opportunity, but he kept silent
Pakistan has suffered due to its involvement in the ‘wars of others’

Zardari strongly condemns Manchester blast
In a statement, he said that he was shocked to hear about this act of terror. Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) stands in solidarity with British Government and people in this time of sorrow and grief, he said.

What difference does it make to TSP? anyway, they don't/won't/can't repay. Loan/aid same thing.
It is just a sentiment. Just like Mexico will pay for the Wall.

Was Dimran expecting Ganja to behave like Bhutto in the UN in 1971, by making a spectacle of himself, tearing up his speech and walking out?

Junior Zardari, IMO, identifies more with Bartania than with Pakiland . Having groomed and educated in Londonistan ( Oxford and all that !). Going a few times a year for R&R. So it would make sense for him to condemn same . Lucky, he did not become a victim

Example Of Women Empowerment In Pakistan

Woman throws acid on husband for contracting second marriage

VEHARI: Police have registered a case against a woman who threw acid on his husband for contracting a second marriage. The incident took place in a village in Vehari.According to the acid attack victim Imran Ashraf, who sustained 35% burns on his body, his wife Yasmeen was upset over his second marriage and threw a bucket of acid on him while he was asleep. He was immediately shifted to the District Headquarters hospital, from where he was shifted to Nishtar Hospital in Multan. The woman has since fled and police are engaged in locating her whereabouts.
Sharia says that "husband is not bound to ask "permission" from his first wife", if he wants a second one to bed ! Therefore, no action is allowed against the Islam pasand acid attack husband . His "tomcating rights" are preserved under the Book. There is probably a fatwa "floating around ", which may apply to this specific situation. So much so for all the hoopla about women rights in Pakiland

Karachi Literature Festival Outsourced To Londonistan

Karachi Literature Festival celebrated for the 1st time in London
ANI ( Asian News International )
.
London recently experienced Pakistan, while celebrating Karachi Literature Festival (KLF), for the first time outside Pakistan.
ANI and other news agencies are being "politically correct" and also dishonest when they glorify the " celebrating of the so-called Pakistan literature" and the attendance in London of prominent Paki personalities, who are there for the festival . Let the media be honest - and have the guts to call- a spade- a spade. Karachi is a very dangerous city. There is an ongoing " anti terrorism" ( anti- MQM !) operation by the Paki Rangers. Security cannot be guaranteed No one in his or her right mind would want to come from oversees to grace the festival . It is only the Paki Elite that can afford to travel to Londonistan to have a good time ! As the security situation in Pakistan gets worse and worse , cricket and hockey matches, World Bank and IMF meetings will not be held in Krachi, La-Whore or Isloo. Dubai is the most preferred location

Cost Weight - Cutting Measure (!) To Be Introduced By Paki Airline

PIA to ground 'overweight' crew
The airline’s administration sent letters to seven crew members whose weight was not found in accordance with their height. The order to ground the crew members has been issued with immediate effect. The seven staffers include four flight stewardesses and three air hostesses. The crew members were found 20 to 40 pounds overweight. The seven PIA members were performing duties on international and local flights.
The administration stated that those members whose weight is found to be 35 to 45 pounds in excess will not be eligible for performing duties for international flights. Those who are overweight more than 45 pounds will be grounded on domestic flights permanently, the administration added.
The discredited national airline is obviously in a crisis mode these days and is a "rich provider " of sensational news for the national and international media, the latest being the smuggling of heroin from Pakistan to London in the roof of the plane, and the false accusation of "corruption" against it's German CEO. ( who has since left the country !) IMO, the "grounding of overweight crew" provides another "cannon fodder" for the 24/7 "news industry" . Although, it may be a step in the right direction, it remains to be seen if it can be implemented . Most PIA flight staff ( pilots, hostesses, stewards, flight engineers etc ) carry powerful sifarish ; they may be sons,sons- in - law , daughters, daughters-in-law, cousins, brothers, sisters, mother, father, of powerful ministers, generals , MNA's etc. With all the corruption, will be hard to implement such measures

in which he had said that transplant tourism, in which kidney patients living abroad visit Pakistan for the purpose of transplantation with vended organs, was earning the country a bad name.
So the real problem is not that poor Pakistanis are being forced to sell their kidneys for money, but that this is earning the country a bad name.

Signal from Washington: Pakistan needs to work harder
Trump administration has concluded that New Delhi is “considering punitive options” to “raise the cost to Islamabad for its alleged support to cross-border terrorism”.
Lieutenant General Vincent R Stewart, Director of Defense Intelligence Agency, told the same Senate committee: “Bilateral relations between India and Pakistan worsened following several terrorist attacks in India. Continued threat of high level terror attacks in India, violence in Kashmir and bilateral diplomatic recriminations will further strain India-Pakistan ties in 2017. Following a terrorist attack on an Army base in Indian Kashmir last September, New Delhi conducted a highly publicized operation against militants across the Line of Control.” This is the first time a top official has given credence to the “surgical strikes” conducted across the LoC, which followed the Uri terror attack. The Trump administration has come to the conclusion that easing of heightened India-Pakistan tension, including talks to renew official dialogue, will “probably hinge” in 2017 on a “sharp and sustained reduction” of cross-border terrorism and “progress in the Pathankot investigation”.
It has also concluded that New Delhi is “considering punitive options” to raise the cost to Islamabad for its alleged support to cross-border terrorism.
These are statements made by two senior US administration officials, one of them appointed by President Donald Trump in March this year, to the US Senate Committee on Armed Services on Tuesday as part of their Worldwide Threats Assessment of the US intelligence community.
While the Trump administration is conducting a broad policy review of the South Asian region, the testimony by the two top officials give a sneak peek into the new administration’s thinking on India and Pakistan after just four months in office.
Daniel R Coats, Director Of National Intelligence, told the committee Tuesday: “Relations between India and Pakistan remain tense following two major terrorist attacks in 2016 by militants crossing into India from Pakistan. They might deteriorate further in 2017, especially in the event of another high-profile terrorist attack in India that New Delhi attributes to originating in or receiving assistance from Pakistan. Islamabad’s failure to curb support to anti-India militants and New Delhi’s growing intolerance of this policy, coupled with a perceived lack of progress in Pakistan’s investigations into the January 2016 Pathankot cross-border attack, set the stage for a deterioration of bilateral relations in 2016.” The appointment of Coats was confirmed in March.
“Increasing numbers of firefights along the Line of Control, including the use of artillery and mortars, might exacerbate the risk of unintended escalation between these nuclear-armed neighbors. Easing of heightened Indo-Pakistani tension, including negotiations to renew official dialogue, will probably hinge in 2017 on a sharp and sustained reduction of cross-border attacks by terrorist groups based in Pakistan and progress in the Pathankot investigation,” he said, at the hearing which took place at the Dirksen Senate office building in Washington DC.

US revives two infrastructure projects in Asia to counter China's OBOR
WASHINGTON: The US has revived two major infrastructure projects in south and southeast Asia in which India would be a vital player, a move that could potentially act as a counter to China's ambitious Belt and Road initiative.

Message from Army strikes: India reserves the right to hit back at Pakistan

NEW DELHI: The publicised, punitive fire assault on Pakistani posts that aid infiltration are part of a new escalatory stand by the Indian Army on the Line of Control, aimed at sending a straight message that the cost of abetting militancy will have to be borne by regular Pakistani army troops.

The video of the May 9 incident in Noushera released by the Indian Army is indicative of what is fast becoming a new normal on the Line of Control: Swift, high intensity attacks on Pakistani army posts with the aim of razing them to the ground. The provocation: Providing cover to infiltrators. The judge: Local Army units that observe events firsthand.

In a change from the past, when such operations were executed with lesser frequency and more discretion, a series of fire assaults have been carried out on the LoC since last September’s cross-border surgical strikes.

Defence establishment insiders refused to give a number, but said that several large Pakistan army posts have been targeted — even platoon level posts designed to hold 30-odd troops in a defensive role. At least three separate videos recording the assaults are now in public domain.

The message of these strikes borrows the logic of the surgical strikes: The Indian Army reserves the right to take pre-emptive action along the Line of Control and that regular Pakistani army troops are legitimate targets if found supporting infiltrators.

Defence minister Arun Jaitley’s Defence minister Arun Jaitley’s congratulatory message to the Army for the action also hinted to this approach. “Indian Army is taking preemptive and measured actions to counter terrorism in valley and disengage Pak posts across LoC supporting infiltration,” the minister tweeted.

While such intense fire assaults — the May 9 attack included the use of rocket propelled grenades, anti-tank missiles and heavy gun fire — would mean that the 2003 ceasefire agreement is more or less defunct, Army insiders pointed out that the situation is not close to the levels of cross-border duels seen in the past.

“Pakistan has given a muted response — first by denying that the surgical strikes took place and now by saying that the fire assault video was fake. They realise that on the LoC, we are now at an advantage when it comes to fire power and defences,” an officer said.

In his address on the fire assault, Maj Gen Ashok Narula, speaking on behalf of the Army, made it clear “locations aiding infiltration of terrorists are being targeted and destroyed to deny advantage to terrorists.” Making it clear that the Army will continue this new stand of sustained fire assaults — targeting Pak posts without crossing over — in all areas where it dominates the Line of Control.

Chinese Become Kidnapees In Balochistan !

2 Chinese nationals kidnapped from Quetta
Two Chinese nationals, a man and a woman, were kidnapped from the Jinnah Town area of Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan, on Wednesday afternoon, DawnNews reported. According to police, unknown abductors had forced the two foreigners into a vehicle at gunpoint and driven away. One other woman, also a Chinese national, reportedly escaped the abduction.A passerby was injured after one of the abductors opened fire at the scene, DawnNews reported.
Jinnah Town is one of the affluent residential areas of the city. So, the new "colonial masters" are now tasting the same "medicine" which the Deep State Agencies were giving to the poor Baluchi populace.
. Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri had taken notice of the kidnapping and directed the inspector general of police to ensure his immediate recovery. .
Am sure, some heads are going to roll.! The Chinis, had warned the Pakis - over and over again- that security for their people needs to be improved - before the "colonization of Pakistan" ( under CPEC) -can be implemented. And the ex Bad Sharif, then, had promised the erection of a "special force" for this exclusive reason only. Now this has happened !

K'rachi Literature Festival - that's a mouthful of oxymoronic words!!

So, londonistan's favorite mayor will now be forced to show support and celebrate mediocrity from his native land? Also, by holding the "festival" in UKistan, will the thousands of paki libertards who have assumed god-given right to attend such displays of freedom get visa on arrival? After all what is a paki festival without the LaWhori pakis?

Circular debt once again crosses Rs 400 bn mark
The Ministry of Water and Power on Monday briefed the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) regarding the status of power generation in the country. The PAC was informed that Pakistan's circular debt currently stands at Rs 402.14 billion, of which outstanding payments for electricity stand at Rs 237 bn.
Lest you rakshaks start to believe in miracles that paki debt has been lowered and ganja sharif "tarakki pasand' policies are paying off, please note that this is circular debt on power generation onlee.
