Saudi Arabia has become the third member of CPEC: Fawad Chaudhry
Either the pakis are hedging their economic bets on SeePack by inviting al saud to invest in key projects (just in case chinistan is driven out) or the pakis are being too clever and a half by involving al saud in the deals so that the saudis remain the counter balance to the opaque chinis. Either case, this is politics as its worst. Besides the fact that pakis, chinis and saudis are strange bedfellows, saudis are not the type of benefactors that agree on playing second fiddle in any investment deal.
Time will tell. But, overall, it is clear that agreement has been reached to send paki troops to al saud as cannon fodder. Eyeran must be fuming at this point.

Saudi Arabia will be the third member of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Minister of Information Fawad Chaudhry said on Thursday.
He said that Saudi Arabia is the first country that Pakistan has invited to become a third partner in CPEC and the projects that Saudi Arabia would be investing in will be smoothed out during the Saudi delegation's visit, scheduled for the first week of October.
"We have also assured the Saudi leadership that we will continue to provide security to their country and provide strategic support wherever needed," Chaudhry said.
Huh?"I should mention here that the relations between Pakistan and UAE and Pakistan and Saudi Arabia were going through a cold phase for the past few years and this visit changed that," the information minister said.
