Only out of 430 or so seats, Whereas news channels are reporting their trends from almost 520 or so.. Are they getting more updated info from elsewhere?

Bhai lok relax, All we need is 272. UP is probably a close race. We'll get better soon. This is good in a way that opposition cannot claim rigged election anymore. A bit of a dent will also bring some sense and accountability on the NDA side.

Until people wake up, we will keep having these dents.

They will keep you glued to the TV or streaming service as long as they can; and for that, the election has to be a "real fight".

The higher end of the reputable exit polls were far too optimistic for the NDA. I'd be surprised though if the lower end is not achieved.

Agreed. A tight win will knock some sense and the claim of rigged elections will not hold. India will be safe

ECI tallies are the official numbers, which ECI releases after due vetting. The numbers shown by the channels are unverified/uncertified ones. It can change.

What I do not like about any of the coverage is that the actual vote count is not shown.
"Leading" can mean leading by 1 vote or 50,000 votes.
Likewise with "Trailing".

Almost all pissfuls voted and more than 75% of their vote went to the dotty alliance. Hindus as usual indifferent or divided.

Please note: ECI leads/wins are the final truth. Media reports are just trends, and their bias can be seen. Example; at 10:08 AM IST Mathrubhumi.com shows NDA 284, INDI 227, OTH 31. Their rivals Malayala Manorama shows NDA 304, INDI 218, OTH 21.

Also, I am monitoring the margins. Anything less than 5000 at this point a flip of a coin. So the numbers may be much closer than expected. NM is leading only by 600 votes in Varanasi. That tells me these are still very early trends.

Unfortunately it seems apart from 3-4 seats the SP leads are quite high so they are likely to end up with at least 23-25

Congress's 80 has around 15 vulnerable ones with a small lead. Same for BJP's 217 from what I saw
