hnair wrote:BBC finally decided to carry the news about the video

Pakistan army says 'extra-judicial killing' video faked
The Pakistani military says it is investigating a video purporting to show a firing squad of uniformed soldiers shooting dead young men who were blindfolded and bound.

Its authenticity cannot be verified. It is unclear when or where it was filmed.

Human rights groups say they have previously documented extra-judicial killings by Pakistani troops but cannot vouch for the video.

Pakistani military officials have dismissed it as fabricated.

"No Pakistani Army soldier or officer has been involved in activity of this sort," army spokesman Maj Gen Athar Abbas told the BBC.
Sounds so apologetic and disbelieving, compared to their firm Chatisinghpura "Injuns did it" tones. If anyone had any doubts on BBC's pak infested "South Asian" desk....
Experts have looked at it and given their verdict that the video is not fake. So the Pakis can deny all they want, the damage is done.

New Video Appears to Show Abuse of Prisoners by Pakistani Soldiers

Days after a Web video apparently showing members of Pakistan’s military executing prisoners came to light, another video has been discovered that appears to show soldiers beating suspected militants in Pakistan’s Swat Valley.

Bin Laden Laments Climate Change
The huge climate change is affecting our nation and is causing great catastrophes throughout the Islamic world,” the tape continues. It says the challenge “calls for generous souls and brave men to take serious and prompt action to provide relief for their Muslim brothers in Pakistan.”If verified, the recording would not be the first in which Mr. bin Laden has remarked on global warming. In an audiotape obtained by Al Jazeera in January, the Al Qaeda leader dedicated virtually an entire speech to the subject and laid particular blame on former President George W. Bush for failing to curb greenhouse gas emissions. “All the industrial states” are to blame for climate change, he said then. “Yet the majority of those states have signed the Kyoto Protocol and agreed to curb the emission of harmful gases.”

Interesting excerpt:
Last year, a military officer serving in the Swat Valley during a large-scale offensive against Taliban insurgents showed The Times photographs of suspected militants who had been executed while in custody. The officer, who insisted on anonymity, also said he had video, shot on his phone, that he did not want to share. He claimed to have recorded images of the extrajudicial killings, which he called rampant, because he opposed them and was concerned that such practices would damage the army’s struggle against militancy.

Another officer, who also wanted to remain anonymous, told The Times last year that he had refused to comply with an order from his superiors to execute a group of captives suspected of being Taliban militants.
So some of the Pak Army officers are already getting ready for a war crimes tribunal and turning hostile witness against colleagues? No wonder Mush is high-tailing back to Pakistan. Wonder what videos of his surface.

Khan is indeed playing games with these mofos.

sanjeevpunj wrote:News update :Former Pakistan military ruler Pervez Musharraf has launched his new political party, the All Pakistan Muslim League, in London.
One more party which claims itself a 'Muslim League' captures the true state of affairs in Muslim Pakistan ! The original Muslim League (ML) began to disintegrate after the quick deaths of Jinnah and Liaquat Ali Khan. Bereft of charismatic leaders native to the lands which eventually became Pakistan, many offshoots of the PML began to appear and there was also internecine war among the leaders to grab power. Even at the height of its popularity, the Muslim League lacked any social or economic programme as part of the Party’s manifest, totally at variance with the Indian National Congress. The disintegration of the Muslim League started even during the life time of Jinnah as the two powerful landlords of the Punjab, Chief Minister Nawab Mamdot and his minister Mumtaz Daultana, began to develop irreconcilable differences which even a Jinnah could not resolve. Later, the powerless Liaquat Ali Khan, recommended the dismissal of the Mamdot ministry leading eventually to the splitting of the Muslim League in the most important province of the Punjab in July 1950 with Mamdot forming his own Jinnah Awami Muslim League. Shockingly, the Muslim League itself was banned after the 1958 army coup which brought Ayub Khan to power. Thus a political party that had been rigged up solely for very narrow personal interests of a few elites unraveled quickly and fell by the wayside.

SSridharji, its amazing that despite the Muslim League having so many cracks and fissures that it was able to run away with 1/3 of the country. Why is it no one on the Congress side thought of using these differences to bring the league down? Was it because the Congress leaders unaware? Naive? Or was this a well kept secret like jinnahs illness?

The British were in India then.

In fact the Congress actually tried but one of the moves they made was a mistake - getting out of government in 1939 in protest against the war. That enabled the British to further the Islamist agenda.

Congress had won the 1937 elections, but they resigned in 1939 to protest the war. You can read what happened after that in the follwing link:

I recommend that you read Sarila's book - "In the Shadow of the Great Game"

Just another routine rant in the Paki earth-e-shaster:

India’s hegemonic designs & regional peace
In the latest development, the Indian Strategic Forces Command (SFC) has submitted a proposal to the Defence Ministry for setting up two dedicated squadrons of fighter aircraft which will act as “mini-Air Force”. The new development in Muslim majority Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) on which Pakistan has its claim is not going unnoticed.

...Last week a Pakistani analyst claimed that Hindu extremist are gaining strengh in India and if God forbid, these fundamentalist take over the Indian nuclear weapons then the whole region will face the biggest ever threat one can even imagine. Many times a day, I gave a cool thought to the words of the analyst; what the analyst actually meant? All I could conclude is that either the nucluar weapons should be banned or the Hindus.

Pakistan troops supporting terror activities in J-K: Army http://in.news.yahoo.com/20/20101001/14 ... tivit.html

The Army today held Pakistani security forces responsible for fuelling terrorist activities in the strife-torn Jammu and Kashmir, saying the recent incidents of ceasefire violation were aimed at facilitating infiltration of militants into the state. "Pakistan security forces are clearly involved in supporting terrorist activities to create insecurity in J&K," a senior Army official of 16 Corps said here.

Referring to the three ceasefire violations by Pakistani troops by shelling rockets, mortar bombs and heavy weaponry firing on Indian posts along LoC in Poonch, the official said it was aimed at facilitating the militants sitting on border to push into Jammu and Kashmir. "The unprovoked firing from across the border has been an attempt to facilitate infiltration of terrorists who are finding it more and more difficult to make an entry through the LoC," he said, adding the vigil on the border and the hinterland had been increased as "a precautionary measure".

There have been three ceasefire violations by Pak troops on Tuesday and Wednesday in Poonch sector, where Pakistan used heavy volume of mortar fire along with RPGs and machine guns on Indian forward posts.

The Union Republic of Terror in other words, TSP.
Between June 3 and June 9, in interviews spread over 34 hours, David Coleman Headley, a former Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) member and a key architect of the 26/11 attack on Mumbai, opened up to investigators from India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA), sent specially to the US to grill him.

This was a key moment in India’s war against terrorism. Here was a man who had served at close quarters with the LeT, Al Qaeda and the newly-formed ‘Karachi Set-up’ for almost a decade. His revelations gave Indian security officials major insights into a terror network that has become virtually an “independent state” within Pakistan.

So, while their moth-eaten country burns, drowns, starves, eats grass, revolts, maims, tortures and generally slides down the tube, here's a smattering of what makes it to the headlines status in the Daily Noose:

Singer Faith Evans busy with music, TV ventures
Japan has prison-themed restaurant
Carla Brunis music plans spark political concerns
Sting cheers on French designer Roland Mouret
Ancient penguins not so well dressed: scientists
Peanut useful for diabetics cure
Harry Potter magic could sparkle again: Rowling
High-tech revolution yet to hit NKorea

Thus (mis)leading most outsiders to believe that all's well in the land of pure.

Pakistan needs a new and fresh political culture, which will help eradicate decades long failed politics from Pakistan
He said he was never accused of corruption instead, according to him, his popularity graph declined owing to wrong decisions at the end of his regime.

‘Other options’ if Nato strikes go on: Gilani
Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani told the National Assembly on Friday his government would consider unspecified “other options” to protect Pakistan’s sovereignty if Nato strikes into its tribal area from Afghanistan did not halt, but rebuffed a shouting ex-general on opposition benches who suggested (we) “beat them back”.
