India to complain to Canada over a float displaying an effigy of late PM Indira Gandhi

The embassy and consulates need a higher standard of infrastructure and protection given these protests. IMO going down to 1 well protected embassy on 50+ acres needs to be considered.

The ongoing normalization of violent Khalistani imagery—whether a tableau of the bullet ridden image of the 1st woman Prime Minister of India, or the open veneration of the terrorist behind the Air India bombing—is as disturbing as it is dangerous.

The Khalistan death cult must be condemned and repudiated by all Canadian legislators, just as @AryaCanada does here.
halistan supporters in Vancouver with posters, of Hindu Indian prime minister Indira Gandhi body with bullet holes with her bodyguards turned assassins holding their guns, are again attempting to instil fear of violence in Hindu-Canadians.
This is continuation of threats with a similar float in Brampton couple of years back and few months back Pannu of Sikhs for Justice asking Hindus to go back to India.
I again call on law enforcement agencies in Canada to take immediate action.
With picture of guns readily being used to convey the message may lead to something real if this is left to continue unchallenged.
The prominence of bindi on the forehead of Indira Gandhi is to make doubly sure the intended targets are Hindus in Canada.

GOI is very much aware that the existing expat population is not all extremists but only certain fringe elements feeding on crime narcotics and terrorist activities motivated by certain state actors who provide political and intelligence support.

OCI applications from Canjab needs to have more scrutiny and existing ones cancelled at least sign of involvement even on social media.

They can have their khalistan in kanada.

OTTAWA — The capital of one of the world’s most stable democracies is gripped by growing panic about foreign agents working in elected office. A bombshell report by Canadian lawmakers has unnerved Parliament Hill, alleging that unnamed politicians have been covertly working with foreign governments.

....
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been on the defensive since the allegations broke Monday. Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is calling on the government to name names.

“The national security committee indicates there are members of this House that have knowingly worked for foreign hostile governments,” Poilievre said Wednesday. “Canadians have a right to know who and what is the information — who are they?”

....
The intelligence included a claim that unnamed parliamentarians are taking direction from unnamed diplomats to “improperly influence” their colleagues or parliamentary business to the benefit of a foreign state.

....
“It’s important for Canadians to understand that these names are contained in intelligence reports, in some cases, it’s uncorroborated or unverified intelligence information,” he told a parliamentary committee studying foreign interference. “The idea that there’s a perfect list of names that is entirely reliable that should be released to the public is simply irresponsible.”
But making allegations against India based on uncorroborated or unverified intelligence information -- it is all good.

The head of a Canadian political party said on Thursday that an intelligence report about some members of parliament acting as agents for other nations was concerning and that offending lawmakers must be removed.
Surely you can guess who.
"I am more alarmed today than I was yesterday," Jagmeet Singh of the opposition left-leaning New Democrats said on Thursday, after reading an unredacted version of that report.

Stepping back I feel that Canada did sponsor Khalistani terrorists against India and is worried about blowback.
Their partner in this is Australia.

Khalistani presence in Canada is there for a long back. It was sporadic terrorism.

However, weaponizing them against India is a Justin Trudeau project.
I don't understand the Australian angle.
But gut feeling they are involved.

The Indian Consulate General in Canada’s Vancouver has organised a memorial service for the victims of the 1985 Air India flight 182 (Kanishka) bombing. On June 23, 1985, the Air India flight from Canada to India via London, exploded off the Irish coast, killing all 329 people, including 86 children, on board. The memorial service in Vancouver has been scheduled for June 23, 2024 at 6:30 PM at the Air India Memorial at Stanley Park’s Ceperley Playground area.

Good development, from an Indian POV. Before you address this problem. The true contours of it have to manifest themselves. The more noises Canadian make about this issue. The more they expose themselves to counter strikes. Both through the mainstream media and social media.

The process of Canada turning into Pakistan is well and truly on.

Time to downgrade relations with Canada. Kick out the Canadian high commissioner and withdraw our ambassador to Canada from Canada and leave only a small token embassy staff there. If Canadians want visas to India they can go visit the Indian Consulate in Houston in person or something.

As for the US GoI needs to arrest a white American and throw the book at him for inciting violence and conspiracy to murder etc. Two can play this game.

A real life meeting. My wife and I were vacationing in 2005 in an Amazon resort in Peru. In that lodge we met two Canadian professors and their teenage son. All three well educated, articulate and not racist. However, none of them was even remotely aware of the Kanishka bombing. The father was even asking me incredulously if I was referring to the Lockerbie bombing. That was a wake-up call on the ignorance among Canadians on the worst terrorist attack that originated on their soil. Not just them but even among friends, coworkers, acquaintances hardly anything is known about it. I also met an elderly Irish salesman who was from Cork, Ireland. The gentleman was educated and loved India and even knew about people like Netaji. However, even he was unaware of the bombing even though the plane blew up over Cork.

What India needs to do two things when highlighting Kanishka incident.

A) In addition to the 329 killed they should start remembering the two Japanese baggage handlers killed at Narita airport. Let us not forget that Kanishka was only half the job. Another suitcase had been loaded at Vancouver and blew up prematurely at Narita. The terrorists did not take into account that Japan does not follow daylight savings. A bigger tragedy was averted then if the plane had blown up between Tokyo and Bangkok. Remind Japan that their citizens were also killed.

B} Start questioning the integrity of RCMP. If after 20 years and hundreds of millions of dollars they cannot solve it then it proves two things. Either they are grossly incompetent. Or their job was to make sure that all traces were wiped out. I believe it is the latter.
