A massive blast "was heard" in Karachi near the Saudi embassy. Has shattered tens of home windows. Target was apparently a highly decorated police Abdul Farooq Awan who is seriously injured.

Two dead, 7 injured in bomb attack targetting SSP Farooq Awan in Karachi
KARACHI: Two people were killed and seven others, including two women and two police personnel, were injured when a bomb targeting senior anti-terror police officer SSP Farooq Awan went off in Defence area of Karachi on Thursday evening.
The blast was so powerful that it blew out the windows of nearby houses and caused the doors and windows of buildings in a half-kilometer radius to shake. It was heard far off areas of the city including Clifton and PECHS.

A Pakistani policeman is accused of shooting two prison inmates accused of blasphemy, killing one and wounding another on death row.

Local Christian pastor Zafar Bhatti was fatally shot, while Briton Muhammad Asghar, who has been sentenced to death, was wounded in the shooting in Adiyala prison in Rawalpindi.

Asghar, from the Scottish city of Edinburgh, was arrested in 2010 and sentenced to death in January after a disgruntled tenant presented letters he had written saying he was a prophet.

The 70-year-old had previously been detained under the mental health act in Britain and diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia,

During the Football worldcup, I noticed that in hispanic channels, Germany is called Alemannia. My curiosity drove me to this Wiki Page where I found reference to one of its ancient king called Chnodomarius also called Chnodomar  .

Chnodomar is, apparently, a cognate of Germanic Gundmar. So that last name is no simple last name but has rich history.

This has been the case for a couple of years now. It is getting increasingly difficult to differentiate the real Pakistan from the pretend, make believe "always in denial", ever progressing, superpower Pakistan

'First Pakistani in space' congratulates India on Mars mission
ISLAMABAD: Pakistani explorer Namira Salim, expected to become her country’s first person in space, congratulated India on Thursday on reaching Mars on its maiden attempt.
Despite having a space agency since 1961 Pakistan has not yet launched a satellite into orbit.
“The success of the Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM), Mangalyaan, is a giant leap for South Asia,” said Salim, who has booked a ticket on Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic space project planned for 2015.

Namira Salim is NOT Pakistani. She is a citizen of Monaco. She has lived her entire life outside of Pakistan in Europe and Dubai.

Hmm. How in the world did "explorer" Namira Salim been to space while Bakistan has not even launched a satellite.

The only way Bakis are known to have explored space is through getting extremely high on high-quality poppy seeds from neighboring Afghanistan.

Gen Akthar who is supposed to be the next EyeAssEye chief previously worked with MQM in Kraachi to limit the influence of Pakistani Taliban.

Sorry, galti se mistake. He worked with Pakistani Taliban in Kraachi to limit the influence of MQM. That's right.
There have been repeated, though unproven, allegations that Gen Akhtar worked with elements from the Pakistani Taliban to surround and limit the influence of what is said to be the armed wing of the MQM.

Hey I have three personal friends of mine - all doctors who have lived 6 months each in Antarctica and visited the South pole. it's no longer "exploration" you know. It's travel. Exploration days are over as far as poles are concerned.

"Exploration of oneself" is a different issue but now we are getting into the argument of idiots "inner jihad versus outer jihad" - mostly bunkum.

Housemate in grad school spent 6 months there too. Supposedly part of his PhD. There is a city sized population there at any given time now. Meh. But these are rational statements, they dont belong in the bakistan thread.

Why should Pakistan respond to Mangalyaan? Mangalyaan is Pakistan's mission. In fact "Indian Space Research Organization" itself belongs to Pakistan. Because -
http://tribune.com.pk/story/91977/i-a-c ... ta-sindhu/
Now, the Sindhu flows through Pakistan. And the land that was its asthan really was what we today call Pakistan. That is, we are the real India, the land of the Sindhu. If anything, the country that we so erroneously know by that name was Bharat, as it was called after the heroic prince of the Mahabharata.
It is for Bharat to respond to Mangalyaan.

Whole world should take notice of Pakistan's space related achievements.

This is a masterpiece of lateral thought and meme-worthy in its own right. So, I'm guessing that violation of one's own orifices may be considered "inner jihad". Awaiting, of course, pix of Pakisatans in various exploratory stages of conducting vigorous "inner jihad"

if cheen and amirkhan can give new-clear weapons to bakis to do equal equal with dhesh, then why can't cheen and amirkhan provide the bakis with space tech to do equal equal with dhesh?

Why can't bakis send moon, mars or venus missions with the help of cheen and amirkhan?

:rotfl: JEM, your definition of inner jihad is marvellous. So, what would then be an 'outer jihad' ? No wonder people are complaining about there being no distinction between BENIS and a serious TSP discussion thread. But then, how can we associate seriousness with Pakistanis? Is it not blasphemy?
