What possible legal reason could DM have for closing comments sections as this neither happened in UK nor was a British citizen involved. When a British citizen in Kashmir was raped/ killed they had the comment section in full blare..

KARACHI: Five people have been killed and 13 others sustained wounds after a powerful blast ripped through a car in Nusrat Bhutto Colony, North Nazimabad on Thursday night.
According to DIG Zafar Abbas Bukhari, the blast occurred outside one of the election offices of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).
The outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility of today’s attack on MQM.
The TTP had earlier declared democracy ‘un-Isalmic’ and issued threats of attack on MQM, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Awami National Party (ANP).
Sources said that the explosive-laden car, bearing a government number plate (BL-005), blew up with a thunderous blast, smashing window panes of buildings surrounding the crime scene and damaging the cars parked in the close vicinity.
The police and emergency response teams have reached the blast site and started shifting the bodies and injured to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities and medical aid.
The deceased include three brothers, said Abbasi Shaheed Hospital’s administration.
MQM Chief Altaf Hussain has condemned the incident in strongest terms.
The fresh blast pushes the tally of attacks on MQM in Karachi to three in the run-up to May 11 general elections.
Earlier in the day, Pakistan Ulema Council issued a Fatwa (decree) declaring the casting of vote a ‘religious obligation’.
The decree from the competent Ulema Council came at a time when Pakistan is heading towards May 11 polls amid a wave of terrorists attacks in its three of four provinces and threats to political parties from militants outfits.

RECENT changes in the Indian visit visa policy seem to toughen lives of visitors as compared to the past. The new requirement laid out by the Indian High Commission says that the visit visa invitation needs to be attested to by a grade I officer which creates a level of discomfort for the person attesting such invitation, mainly due to the potential risk it may bring to the attesting person if something wrong happens.
In the past it was a requirement that the family member in India needed to send documents like ration card and utility bills along with the visa invitation letter to facilitate visit visa application of a Pakistani relative.
It is requested to bring ease in the lives of divided families by introducing requirements that can be followed easily so that the families could reunite.

summary of statement: an internal diasgreement in tsp between zardari and tsp-ian security wonks about no-first-use and india policy, and wonks reign in zardari by attacking india.
boils my blood. dont know who is the banana nation here, tsp or india, against whom random people can conduct arbitrary raids at will to settle internal disagreements.
so all this sadbhavna, aman ka tamasha et al., we perceive as the dhaarmic path and the honorable thing to do. for tsp we have become an easy joke? its that easy to order mass killings in india, that people without two cents worth of disposable shit are using it to settle gharelu disputes?
It is India, no doubt about it. Just extend your thinking. TSPA & ISI know so very well that they executed this horrific act of war on 26/11, and don't you think they must be in a triumphant mood now watching MMS & Co think shift their entire focus on Hindu terror, Indian elite chutiyas obsessed with destroying Modi, Adhothi et. all demanding India give Kashmir, MMS & Co longing for more pee pee contact, US saying both be good boys and loyally serve as its munnas (recall US think tanks have already started this line that both India and TSP are "important emerging powers" that US has a stake in), RAPE (closet Jihadis) welcomed in India in a heart beat etc; why would India not be such a dolly in TSPA/ISI's kitty? Not only is India a joke at GHQ, but having faced no consequence for their acts of war, they can continue down this path knowing fully well that one threat of nuke being dropped, and India will blink. And the sad part is that there is hardly any strategic thinking, any strategic gameplan in India to fight this TSP disease and take it head on. Just denial and outright surrender by the MMS & Co camp, and hoping for the best by the rest.

Indo-Pak veterans to play cricket series in Sharjah next month
Fawad Ijaz, the Chairman of the Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association, told the media that the Indo-Pak series will include two 40-overs-a-side matches and will be played on April 18 and 20.
Last updated on Thursday, 07 March 2013 10:17
Lahore: Pakistan's former cricket captain Inzamam-ul-Haq will return to action next month when he would lead the national veterans team against arch-rivals India in a two-match series in Sharjah.
Fawad Ijaz, the Chairman of the Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association, told the media that the Indo-Pak series will include two 40-overs-a-side matches and will be played on April 18 and 20.
"Sharjah has been chosen to host these matches because of the current relations between Pakistan and India. We have decided to play at a neutral venue," he said.
Ijaz said Pakistan would field a strong side led by Inzamam. The team will include former captains Moin Khan and Rashid Latif besides other former Test/international players like Jalaluddin, Ghulam Ali, Mahmood Hamid, Tauseef Ahmed and Aaqib Javed.
He said the series was being held to revive the veteran level bilateral series between the two countries.
"The Indians are cooperating a lot and we are also expecting them to field a strong side," he added.
Do one know what happent to Indo-Pak veterans play at Sharjah supposed to be on 18 and 20 April?

Taliban attack on ANP meeting kills six in Karachi
KARACHI: At least six people, including a child, were killed and around 20 others were wounded in a militants’ attack on a secular political party in Karachi, DawnNews reported.
The Pakistani Taliban militants targeted a corner meeting of Awami National Party (ANP) near Mominabad Police Station in Karachi’s SITE area. The meeting was being attended, among others, by a local leader of ANP, Bashir Jan.
“Five to six people have been injured, but I am not sure about casualties yet,” said Jan. “I am safe however,” he added.
Talking to a private news channel, ANP chief Asfandyar Wali condemned the cowardly act of the terrorists and vowed to not bow down to them.
“People know who is behind these barbaric acts….they want to keep us away from elections,” he said. However, the ANP chief said that his party will not boycott the May 11 polls.
Meanwhile, the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility of the attack.
Speaking to Dawn.com via telephone from an undisclosed location, Pakistani Taliban spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan said they had carried out the attack on the ANP for their secular views.
“These secular parties want to bring the system of the infidel in Pakistan,” said the Taliban spokesman, speaking about the MQM, ANP and PPP.
Karachi, Pakistan’s commercial capital, has witnessed a recent surge in violence.
The Pakistani Taliban had also claimed responsibility for an attack on Thursday on the election office of the MQM in Karachi, the second attack on the party in the city in three days.
The spike in violence targeting political parties has raised concerns for law and order as the May 11 general elections draw closer.
The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan also expressed its concerns at the continuing terrorist attacks on election candidates, activists and campaigns of certain political parties.
“If this targeted violence persists, it would render the elections meaningless and make the country hostage to fascist forces,” the rights watchdog said in a statement released Friday.

The sight of children, the disabled and disadvantaged begging at all hours of the day and night in Pakistan is a grim, constant reminder of the millions who live in abject poverty.
Yet malnourished members of the underclass have to collect not just enough spare change to feed themselves, but to pay off police and gang bosses.
Investigators say begging has turned into an organised business with mafia controlling key locations where they deploy their own lackeys or lease out ground to others on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
Some can even make more than a labourer who toils in scorching temperatures, digging or carrying cement and bricks at building sites for $6 a day.
Mukhtiar, about 12 years old who gave only one name, is already a veteran beggar in the Saddar shopping area of Rawalpindi, the headquarters of Pakistan’s military and the sprawling twin city of the leafy capital Islamabad.
regular abdul family in paki lands
Sakina Bibi, 32, a mother of five begging in Rawalpindi, says she does so to support her family and an addict husband who does not work.
Islamabad police claim to have launched a crackdown, but Haroon Yahya, a senior police official in Rawalpindi, says arrests are pointless.
“It has become so lucrative that they do not care about arrest or imprisonment for a month,” Yahya told AFP.
“Most of them are now working in groups and protect each other. Police have busted many gangs, but after some time they again regroup,” he said.

That is the Pingliss accent that most Pakistanis will have in Furrein land.
It has to do with being Jaahil, being uncomfortable with your own accent, and trying to adopt a furrien accent.
Once back in Pakistan, they use that furrien pingliss accent to bolster their furrein-return status. Meaning that they are now of a higher social class because they are Furrein-return.
Poor abduls who can't be furrien-return have to adopt other means, trying to get more sawab by any means for social status.

from paki IPL link above..found a few interesting kamments.
Anoop Apr 26, 2013 - 3:05PM
“Pakistani players have not appeared in an IPL fixture since the final of the first edition due to the Indo-Pak tension resulting from the 2008 Mumbai attacks.”
Incorrect.
1) India refused to tour Pakistan after Mumbai Attacks citing genuine security reason.
2) Pakistan as a tit-for-tat refused to send it players to IPL, citing the same reason in 2009.
3) IPL shifted to South Africa. Egg-on-face. Pakistani players were not considered.
4) 3 IPLs ago, Pakistani players were considered for Auctions, but no Pakistani player was considered by any team.
Hence, there is NO BAN on Pakistani players in IPL. But, a de-facto ban, as no team wants to play them.
Now, there are hardly any slots for Pakistani players to come in.
Had Pakistan tried not to “teach India a lesson” by not not sending its players to IPL in 2009, Pakistani players would be still playing in IPL. Who knows Asif and Amir would not have taken that money and humiliated their country.
India canceled the tour because of proper security concerns, Pakistan did it to for no real reason but to spite India.
this is prime example of some well meaning but big-picture missing stupid people who abound in our ranks. Trying to be 'fair' and 'setting the record straight'. A simple "ya pakis, stop being terrorists and killing people you disagree with and maybe you will be treated as part of human society" should be the consistent answer to any paki discussion.

@Asjad:
Let alone Pakistan, I would like it to be banned even here in India. To me (and a good many Indians), IPL is a vulgar show of Wealth and all kinds of ‘Royals’ & ‘Kings’ in a country that is yet to win its battle against poverty, affordable healthcare, education, sanitation and decent Public Infrastructure. Its popularity shows how indifferent we all are to all the misery that surrounds us in ‘real’ society. Also, given the large sums of money involved, It distorts the priorities of Players away from National team.
but the real truth is, this was written by a RAPE with backup battery power or uninterrupted power supply in his neighborhood

Last IPL match I watched was back in 2009 when Mohammad Asif was playing for DD. I do not know from where it is popular in Pak where there is no electricity to watch a match. In my opinion, it is not so much popular in Pakistan.
