With an irrational actor MAD works differently. For every A attacked a seemingly unrelated C may receive the prize instead of the logical B. No actual transport may be needed. Just like ijlaamisbad and beixing and certain sdre calculus. Reduces the sand in the gears and makes them turn so the dim witted realize all possibilities before they act. Otherwije, no one is bothered with what turki does in its backyard. Like with armenians. Or kurds. Or irakis.
There might be heavy weight material onsite for fun. But the nukular calculus doesnt actually need carrying the suitcase around with you.

RUSSIA DEFENSE REPORT – FEB. 20, 2016: RUSSIAN MILITARY GROUPING IN SYRIA
...
Several months later, the situation has changed to such an extent that Turkish intervention has almost no chance of scoring a military success. Hmeimim now hosts over 50 aircraft, including Su-27SM, Su-30SM, and Su-35S fighters which can provide effective fighter defense against Turkish incursions. It is also protected by a multi-layered air defense system which includes the S-400 high altitude, long-range missile system, Buk-M2 medium range weapons, and Pantsir-S short-range gun/missile vehicles which are capable of shooting down not only aircraft but also cruise missiles and guided bombs. Hostile aircraft would also face a barrage of electronic countermeasures that would significantly degrade their ability to target Hmeimim. The cruise missile launches by Russian naval ships and heavy bombers have demonstrated the ability to target Turkish air bases and destroy Turkish aircraft on the ground, in the event of escalation of the fighting.
Russian bases in Syria also enjoy the protection from a constant presence of a naval task force, which includes a missile cruiser armed with long-range anti-ship and anti-aircraft weapons, several anti-submarine ships, and at least one missile corvette.
On the ground, the battalion force of Russian troops is hardly the only ground protection of the Hmeimim base. Russian military assistance, including provision of heavy equipment, munitions, and military planners and advisers, has returned the Syrian Arab Army to an effective fighting condition. In addition, the Syrian army is no longer the only military force defending Syria. Thanks to Russian diplomatic efforts, several Syrian opposition groups have joined the government forces in their struggle against the extremists. Likewise the Kurdish units which in the past waged their own uncoordinated struggle against ISIS have now been fully incorporated into the Russian-led coalition in return for Syrian government’s political concessions. There is also a sizable Hezbollah and Iranian presence in Syria. Considering that none of these forces are likely to defect to Turkey in the event of Turkish invasion, and that in some cases they view Turkey as their mortal enemy, the Turkish military would likely not advance very far before suffering heavy losses at the hands of Syria’s defenders. Russian and Syrian long-range weapons now include heavy multiple rocket launchers and Tochka short-range ballistic missiles that would be deadly to Turkish armored columns advancing through narrow mountain paths under the watchful eyes of Russian drones and long-range surveillance aircraft like the Tu-214 and the Il-20.
Even the prospect of the Bosphorus blockade is not as threatening as it once seemed. Syria Express is now mainly concerned with providing consumables like munitions and spare parts to the forces fighting in Syria. In the event Bosphorus were to be blocked, these supplies could be shipped from the Baltic Sea and, in really urgent cases, by air using the traditional Caspian-Iran-Iraq-Syria air route.

Even if Saudi/Turkey charge into Syria ......How much land area can they occupy and will they try to take over SAA area and hence risk getting bombed by RuAF ?
Dont know how much of that plans are really feasible ,

French president: Turkey’s actions in Syria may pave way to conflict with Russia
BRUSSELS, February 20. /TASS/. Ankara should stop shelling Kurds in Syria as it may lead to obvious conflict with Russia and greater aggravations since Turkey is a member of NATO, French President Francoise Hollande said after the EU summit in Brussels.
Turkey has been recently shelling positions of Syrian Kurds, who fight against terrorists on the side of Damascus.

Of course there is a good reason why the Saudis are getting paying everybody to say:
Oh Puhleeeez! Don't go!
and Erdogan hasn't invaded yet.
All this calculus about NATO - NATO will use any excuse to delay/avoid full-scale intervention. The sequence may go like this:
Erdogan sends massive armored columns with fighter-bomber cover and artillery across the border. Sh1theads applaud all over.
Washington counsels Restraint, but tells Russia: "V tolled u sew!"
General Vodkovich is at least as capable as the Saudis of conducing a false-flag chemical attack. Except that I hope it is only an *attempted* chemical attack. Like a VBIED Toyota/Hummer is blown up and turns out to release Sarin gas. Videotaped, but not many ppl on the ground in the vicinity. Per Rules of WMD, an *attempted* WMD== successful WMD, since intent is shown.
B4 anyone can write long editorials on that, the tacnukes have hit the Turkish army, and it is all over.
Is NATO going to hit Russia with tacnukes? Hardly likely. With 100,000 dead and much of his armor kaput, Erdogan's remaining forces turn 180 deg towards Ankara, seeking suitable lampposts. Erdogan takes the first plane out to Riyadh.

(CNN)One of the biggest and most dependable U.S. weapons in the battle against ISIS in Syria and Iraq will be out of the fight for the time being, the commander of U.S. Air Forces Central Command says.
Lt. Gen. Charles Brown Jr. said the fleet of B-1 Lancer bombers had been sent back to the United States from their deployment in the Mideast.
The four-engine bombers are due for upgrades to their cockpits{A GREAT excuse to pull them out of battle at the height of the war! OOOPs! Flown THREE missions already! Coffeepot filters need changing!}, a process that will keep the jets stateside for an undetermined amount of time, Brown told reporters at the Pentagon via a video link from Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.
The B-1s have drawn praise for the amount of weapons they can carry, their accuracy in using those weapons and their reliability during the campaign against ISIS.
Speaking at the Air Force Association's Air & Space Conference and Technology Exposition last September, Lt. Gen. John W. Hesterman III, the Air Force's assistant vice chief of staff, gave a hint of what the B-1s are capable of.
Do u get the feeling that certain bases in Qatar etc are beginning to show up the Houthis' GPS coordinate lists? At $1.2B a pop, those would be VERY effective use of RPGs..

problem with thermal plant rats is they cannot shell it to rubble, as the infra is valuable and will be reused.

There is a small hill SW of Thermal plant, 300 mtrs away. under the ISIS which dominates the entire Thermal plant. Unless they get the hill first, they may enter the plant but will have to retreat under constant fire.
Some ironic justice in Eastern Aleppo. ISIS had Kuweiris airbase under siege for a long time. Now, it is their turn to face the same not too far from the base.

deejey sir and others. I am with you that these are despicable people. What logic or religion would teach to send your own young, pre teen to death (and if it was so important why that ba$tard father did not go). I hope they get there just desserts. but having said that, why we have to stoop to their level by watching this dastardly act. I do not mind seeing (which I do btw) their dead bodies and I love hearing the sanitized news of how these animals are getting defeated. But that image stuck somewhere deep. If you have young one that small, you can relate, when a father should be protecting his kids, he is sending him to certain death in name of some ideology. That was very hurtful. They were monsters before, waji cutlet, and this extra video while hurting sensibilities does not change this fact.

Correction, Al Masdar is reporting that Thermal Power plant is under SAA.

ISIS lost more than the Thermal power plant today.
YPG took another village 10 kms south of Al Shaddadi in Hasakah province and the Al Jasbeh gas field (approx 10 kms east of the Al Shaddadi) today from ISIS.
Dier ez Zor is under severe sand storm. Last time it got hit by sand storm, ISIS gained many territories under the cover of storm here. They have since lost all that but expect ISIS to use the sand storm again.

Most of those Syrian kids also had no warlike ambitions more than skipping school occasionally - until 2011 or so when the American State Department and Blackwater had this great idea:
We burned the city 'cause they wouldn't agree
That things go better with Democracee!

These are the kind of people that the US govt and vast ruling establishment are happy to call friends. Mind you we're not talking about some tiny secret cabal of evil plotters. This is thousands of individuals forming the deep state and many more naive Americans like TSJones happily supporting them. Quite the cross-section of American consciousness. Very telling as to the ethos we're really dealing with when we strike bargains with the United States.
