ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will be sending another letter to his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh, reiterating an earlier invite to visit Pakistan while renewing his resolve for peace and constructive engagement with India. The letter this time will be carried by PM’s Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs, Tariq Fatemi, who will be travelling with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to India on Thursday. The PML-N government is very keen that Manmohan comes to Pakistan before the general elections in India next year May.
Oh, that is a very calculated move. Look at the very high power delegation coming with the letter of invitation. The INC is down and out after the elections. They want some straw in the wind to clutch on to. The INC may think that some progress on the Pakistan front may shore up its fortunes in the 2014 elections. Mr. Singh may still be nurturing a Peace Prize ambition secretively. Nawaz Sharif is sensing an opportunity here. It will be very difficult for Mr. Singh and Ms. Sonia/Rahul Gandhis to turn down this tempting offer.

I expect RAPEs to one day come up with this Lahori logic:

India should allow Pakistanis to vote in India's elections since the result of Indian election has a bearing on region's peace and hence affects lives of Pakistanis.

That Hagel, NS pic is awesome! Good find.

Chuck Hagel wants to bolster fraught relations with Pakistan as airstrikes continue to cause anger and suspicion
airstrikes continue to cause anger and suspicion
Jon Boone in Lahore
theguardian.com, Monday 9 December 2013 16.17 GMT

An Islamic seminary destroyed in a US drone strike in Hangu, Pakistan, last month

Pentagon chief Chuck Hagel attempted to bolster the US's fraught relationship with Pakistan during a rare visit to the country – the first by a US defence secretary in more than three years.

With Pakistan running dangerously low on foreign exchange, and the US wanting Islamabad's assistance to help wind down the 12-year war in Afghanistan, both sides are keen for strong ties.

But Hagel's trip was overshadowed by yet another row over CIA drone strikes, which has led to the suspension of trucks carrying vital supplies to troops in Afghanistan along certain roads in Pakistan. A government statement did not say Nawaz Sharif, the prime minister, demanded an end to US attacks.

But he conveyed Pakistan's "deep concern over continuing US drone strikes", stressing that they were "counter-productive to our efforts to combat terrorism and extremism on an enduring basis".

There are continued suspicions that Pakistan's army, and perhaps even civilian leaders, continue to give some level of consent to the officially clandestine CIA programme, which the US regards as the only effective way to tackle militant groups holed up on Pakistan's unruly western border. But sporadic air strikes continue to cause intense anger and dismay in Pakistan.

One was the killing of Hakimullah Mehsud, the leader of the Pakistani Taliban, on 1 November. Although his violent campaign against the Pakistani state meant he had long been regarded as public enemy number one, his death came at a time when the government had been attempting to initiate peace talks with militants.

Another attack on 21 November on a site associated with the feared Afghan insurgent group the Haqqani Network, caused further outrage, in part because it took place inside Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the province where opposition politician Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leads the ruling coalition government.

The attack prompted Khan to order an unofficial blockade of Nato convoys travelling through the province.

Although it was unclear how effective the protest had been, last week Nato announced that it had suspended all cargo travelling along that route to ensure the safety of drivers.

A statement released by the US embassy in Islamabad said Hagel had "raised the importance of keeping the ground supply routes out of Afghanistan open", in addition to discussing the problems of Afghan insurgents hiding in Pakistan.

"The secretary stressed that as International Security Assistance Forces draw down over the course of 2014, US and coalition partners remain resolved to not let militants destabilise the region," the statement said.

Hagel also met Raheel Sharif, the recently appointed head of Pakistan's army, which has a significant say in national policy towards Afghanistan.

Pakistan has attempted to improve relations with the US for several months. But, with foreign currency reserves shrinking fast, it is in a weak position to make demands of the US.

In a sign of growing desperation, the finance minister last week asked the US ambassador for cash payments under the "Coalition Support Fund" programme that is designed to help Pakistan recoup the costs of supporting the US-led effort in Afghanistan.

But CSF funds have been held up in the past during low points in the relationship between the two sides, particularly during a seven-month ban on Nato supplies in 2012 following the killing by US aircraft of Pakistani soldiers on the Afghan border.

In retaliation of this recent brotherly transgression, the brother from another mother (or father?) was evicted from the only book fair the city of lights "k'rachi" could muster up. Iranian bookstall closed
a bookstall set up by the Iranian consulate was shut down following a protest by the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat
The religious organisation took umbrage at some of the books on display at the Iranian stall because of their allegedly ‘sectarian’ content
the police confiscated the books while the fair’s organisers closed down the stall
the incident occurred at Karachi’s only major book fair
But, here's where the correspondent just doesn't get it. In the Islamic republic, he has the gall to state:
book fairs are supposed to encourage the freedom to learn, question, and explore new areas of knowledge
the number of religious books has been increasing at the fair, with some questionable titles on display
in an open society all literature should have space
Clearly, such incidents prove that in Pakistan extremism is not simply creeping; it is on the march
No sir! Extremism is not on the march. It is simply reclaiming its rightful place on the basis of which your esteemed nation was founded.

India’s leading proponent of India “accommodating” Pakistan Throws in the Towel and predicts Congress Defeat in Lok Sabha Ellections 2014 :

Mani Shankar Aiyar predicts defeat for Congress in general election

NEW DELHI : Disarray within the Congress party has came out into the open after its stunning defeat in the assembly elections.

Senior party leader Mani Shankar Aiyar on Tuesday predicted defeat for the party in the general election due next year.

Aiyar said the party needed time in opposition to reinvent itself.

"Who can be even half-way realistic and expect the Congress to return to power?" Aiyar told Reuters.

Aiyar's remarks follow a disastrous showing for the Congress party in elections held in three big states and national capital Delhi.

On Monday, Sharad Pawar, a key UPA ally, had hit out at the Congress saying the results of the state polls amounted to a rejection of "weak rulers".

"People do not want weak rulers. They want decisive and result-oriented leaders who will formulate policies for (the) poor and implement them," ," National Congress Party leader Sharad Pawar said, according to reports. "

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has been widely criticized for the government's policy drift and a sharp economic slowdown, and for allowing corruption to spin out of control since he was appointed to a second term in 2009.

Adding to the Congress party's troubles, half a dozen of its own lawmakers have called for a parliamentary motion of no-confidence over a decision to divide Andhra Pradesh.

If at least 50 members of the Lok Sabha back their demand, the stage would be set for a trial of strength in which Congress would need the support of several parties to survive.

"Aiyar's opinion was personal and not the party's view," said Congress spokesman Bhakta Charan Das.

He, however, agreed there was a need to analyze what went wrong.

"The party will definitely introspect and we must come out with a very good approach to revitalise ourselves," he said.

The BJP was the clear winner in three states in which assembly elections were held.

The party has been boosted by the energetic campaigning of Narendra Modi.

Also the voter fatigue with Congress after years of spectacular corruption scandals and stubborn inflation is helping the main opposition party.

Pagal Mera Naam, Birth Sey Haram,Sasta Mera Daam, Bheekh Mangna Mera Kaam,Duniya Wale Kusch Bhi Bole, Humm Nahi Sudrega
ISLAMABAD: Reiterating his earlier statement, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that drone attacks are unacceptable, Express News reported on Tuesday.Speaking at a luncheon for European Union’s (EU) Ambassadors in Islamabad, Nawaz said that with the EU’s collaboration and support, Pakistan’s economy could be restored. He added that the government is involved in anti-terrorism efforts and it is important that a solution to terrorism be found. The government is engaged in spreading awareness about the negative impact of drone attacks in Pakistan to the international community, the PM said. His statement comes a day after his meeting with US Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel in which the PM assured Hagel that ‘immediate action’ would be taken to resolve the problem of stalled military shipments due to be taken across the border into Afghanistan.Hagel had warned the premier that it could be difficult to maintain political support in Washington for an aid programme that has sent billions of dollars to Islamabad if this was not done

Good Haqqani interview by Jon Stewart - http://www.thedailyshow.com/full-episod ... in-haqqani

This good Haqqani is clever. While he definitely makes some excellent points, overall he blames America for Pakistan going down the Pakistan. From Pakistan's point of view, he does a good job. Trust Pakis to let go off such an asset!

Pakistani court stops airing of Indian, foreign films on TV
A Pakistani court has stopped the screening of foreign films, serials and television shows, especially Indian content, on the country's TV channels, triggering panic and outrage among exhibitors and viewers.
The judge remarked: "The Indian films and other material are included in the negative list which cannot be changed by issuing a SRO."

The "Negative List" contains items that cannot be traded between India and Pakistan.

Despite the court's order, none of the Pakistani channels have stopped screening foreign content, including Indian and Turkish serials that are extremely popular in the country.

The order was issued in response to a petition filed last month by controversial TV talk show host Mubashir Lucman, a former film producer known for his anti-India stance.
A bit of background on this lard e momin
Pakistan Film Producers Association Chairman Saeed Rizvi has accused Mubashir Luqman, the producer and director of ‘Pehla Pehla Pyar’ :rotfl: , of failing to pay Technicolor (Thailand) Limited, a Bangkok-based postproduction house. For his part though, Luqman has denied the charges and instead accused the Thai-based laboratory of failing to honour a previous commitment.

According to a letter from Technicolor studios received by Daily Times from Rizvi, Mubashir Luqman Films failed to clear outstanding dues worth close to $80,000. In the “notice of non-payment” that Rizvi’s office received, Technicolor has said that the negatives of the movie are still with them in their storage. The letter also said that the amount of ‘$79,711.41’ should be cleared otherwise the company will take legal action against Mubashir Luqman films.“But this is quickly becoming a community of cheats because even Ajab Gul has yet to clear his dues amounting to $18,000 for his movie ‘Kyoun tum say hay itna pyar’ with the same studios,” Farooqui told Daily Times. “Ajab was the man in charge in Bangkok but when it came to make the payments he backed away saying that he was only the director.
And he was the main actor in the Malik Riyaz paid media scandal when the army was trying to get rid of the CJI with the help of Riyaz.

Oral polio Vaccine Must for Pakistani Adults & Children to Travel to India - The Hindu
The Indian High Commission in Pakistan has issued an advisory on Wednesday that all adults and children travelling to India from Pakistan after January 30, 2014, are required to obtain Oral Polio Vaccination (OPV) at least six weeks prior to their departure to India, but not more than one year before the date of travel.

A statement said that travelers from Pakistan to India after January 30, 2014, are required to carry their vaccination record as evidence of polio vaccination and it will be requested for entry into India thereafter. Record for administering OPV may be obtained from an authorized medical centre in the format laid out in the World Health Organization’s International Health Regulations 2005 International Certificate of Vaccination (http://who.int/ihr/IVC-06-26.pdf).

Once a person has been administered OPV it remains effective for one year, after which the vaccination should be taken again. The step is being taken to safeguard India’s polio-free status attained after sustained efforts and investment, the statement said. It is applicable to all travelers from all countries where polio disease is endemic or where cases of polio are reported. It is also applicable to Indian nationals travelling to and from these countries.

Pakistan is one of the three countries in the world where polio is endemic and recently a polio outbreak in Syria was traced back to Pakistan.
The advisory, though welcome of course, is already late and it effectively gives another two months to become effective. I do not understand why it is not becoming effective immediately.

^^^ With the Islamic Republic of Pakistan’s high levels of corruption and expertise in counterfeiting Indian currency notes, illegally obtained and counterfeit vaccination certificates would be ongoing issues for India's enforcement authorities. So in order to prevent the polio virus joining the list of other unwelcome exports from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan into India; namely terrorists, heroin and counterfeit Indian currency notes, it would be more prudent to just stop providing visa’s to Pakistanis to visit India and simultaneously prohibit Indian's from visiting Pakistan.

Meanwhile the same news item from a Pakistani newspaper whose comment section will be no doubt be shortly buzzing with a lot of Pakistani’s whose Honour and Dignity aka H&D has been wounded:

Visitors from Pakistan must prove they are vaccinated for polio: India

Hagel to PM: Lift NATO blockade or risk billions in aid
ISLAMABAD : US Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel warned Pakistani leaders on Monday that if they did not resolve protests stalling some military shipments across the border into Afghanistan, it could be difficult to maintain political support in Washington for an aid programme that has sent billions of dollars to Islamabad, defence officials said.

In response, Hagel received assurances from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that his administration would take ‘immediate action’ to resolve the shipment problem, sources told The Express Tribune. He assured the visiting Pentagon chief that the situation would improve soon and Pakistan would ensure smooth exit of foreign forces from Afghanistan.
Since 2002, Pakistan has received more than $16 billion of security assistance and reimbursements, according to the US Embassy. Pakistan’s determined effort to root out terrorism and militancy on its own territory is essential for creating a stable environment for promoting economic growth and prosperity, it said.

There is more to Sharif-led Pakistan than meets the eye.

Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan, while addressing the budget session of the government installed in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) stated that "Kashmir is a flashpoint and can trigger a fourth war" between India and Pakistan.

The statement was, of course, hurriedly retracted by the Prime Minister's office in the typical two-faced manner that Pakistan excels in, but not before the Indian Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, had, in a rare expression of strength, said, "there was no scope of Pakistan winning a war against India in his lifetime." The statement by Dr. Singh was delivered while interacting with journalists during an "At Home" in the residence of the Indian Naval Chief. The message was clear and strong enough to elicit the immediate reconciliatory statement from Pakistan.

The statement by the Pakistan Prime Minister, however, has to be seen against the backdrop of the extreme anti-India sentiment that is being built by propagandist forces in Pakistan of late. On December 1, only a few days before the statement was made the Difa-e-Pakistan Council (DPC) held a rally in Lahore to protest against drone attacks. The DPC is an umbrella coalition of more than 40 political and religious organisations based in Pakistan. The binding factor of these organisations is fundamentalist ideologies and anti-India, anti-US and anti-Israel postures.

Notable speakers at the rally were the chairman of the organisation, Sami-ul-Haq; Hafiz Saeed, an internationally wanted terrorist; Hamid Gul, the ex-ISI chief, who is now the coordinator of all fundamentalist activities in Pakistan involving both the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Jihadi organisations directed against India and Kashmir; Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan, an ex-Prime Minister of one of the puppet regimes installed in POK; he is roped in for such congregations to give legitimacy to the propagandist statements; there were many more of the same ilk.

It so turned out in the rally that drone attacks were put on the back burner and anti-India sentiment took centre stage.

The main issues that were raked up by speaker after speaker were the country's alleged role in creating a rift between Shias and Sunnis in Pakistan as also between the people and the Pakistani army. Hafiz Saeed categorically blamed India, the US and Israel for sectarian clashes in Balochistan.Hamid Gul took off from where Hafiz Saeed left and went to the extent of declaring that Pakistan was already in a state of war with India and the US and that the prime minister should come out with concern for the situation.

A surprising speaker at the forum was Raja Zafar-ul-Haq, Chairman of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and a member of the Senate. He categorically blamed India for "destruction of Karachi and Balochistan" and went to the extent of stating that India wished to occupy Pakistan. On Kashmir, he expressed a feeling that the governments of the past had failed to make the international community fully aware of the facts of the situation.

More than anything else it was the wall that India proposes to build along its borders with Pakistan that came up for much criticism and elicited a vitriolic smear campaign.Hafiz Saeed demonstrated his traditional bravado by declaring that Pakistan would pull down the wall with bare hands if India displayed the "temerity" to build the same. Sardar Attique Ahmed Kahn put in his penny's worth by expressing concern about the construction of the wall and calling upon the Pakistan government to stop its construction.

In fact the wall has become a big topic of discussion in Pakistan media and a propaganda campaign has been put in place to build public sentiment against it.A prominent Urdu writer of Pakistan, Mir Afsar Aman, has referred to it as a "Brahmin wall" conceived with the intention of enslaving Kashmiri's. The fact that the wall is proposed to come up in the Jammu region where no Kashmiri would be affected is being conveniently sidelined.

Even the terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Muhammad has commented on the construction of the wall; it says that the idea is by itself "laughable" and the Mujaheedeen know how to cross such walls.

The English press in Pakistan carries muted versions of such stories since it has to cater to the sensitivities of the international community; its anti-India rhetoric is more subdued and nuanced.

It is the Urdu press and some news channels in Pakistan that spread such rabid, propagandist information. The afore mentioned statements and information have been gleaned out from the Urdu press like Jasarat, Ibrat, Roznama Duniya, Urdupoint, Khabrain, Ausaf, Jinnah, Ummat, Nawa-i-Waqt, Daily Pak etc.

While there an incessant talk of dialogue, confidence building and peace , Pakistan remains committed to its agenda of keeping the anti-India sentiment alive among its gullible public.

Organisations like the Difa-e-Pakistan Council are provided with unlimited finds and resources to hold malevolent congregations like the one being discussed where venom is spouted at will by wanted criminals and then carried by the media over days together to create a wave of hatred against India through misinformation.

The fact that a very senior representative of the PML-N was also present in the congregation and he went to the extent of making abrasive statements leaves no doubt about complicity of the government in the entire diabolic drama. This could have been the inspiration for Nawaz Sharif to come up with his, by now, much maligned war mongering a few days later. After all speaker after speaker came up with demands for Sharif to adopt a more stringent posture against India and the US. All of this could well be part of an overall strategy to corner India through public sentiment, a sinister double game being played out by the Nawaz Sharif-led government.

While being open to talks India should remain vigilant about the very obvious and structured malevolence emanating from Pakistan.

Ganja as usuual upto no good, courting a lameduck MMS and playing double game.

I remember an article (or was it a comment on an article) from a retired Fizzle-Ya Air Commodore about the bonding formed in air-raid shelters and the warmth shared in '71.

PS: On a related note, one of the best scenes in Mallu cinema - a car zips by splashing muddy water on the protagonist, a village simpleton. The dude wipes off the muck and exclaims admiringly "Enthoru speed!" (That was one FAST car!).

Dar expects payment of CSF in four weeks
ISLAMABAD, Dec 11: Pakistan chastised the United States on Wednesday over its threats to hold up coalition support fund reimbursements, saying the amount belonged to Islamabad and its disbursements should be speeded up.
“It is Pakistan’s money and belongs to the people of Pakistan. It is not a charity or donation. We will recover every outstanding dollar,” said Finance minister Ishaq Dar at a press conference on Wednesday. He said it was not Pakistan of the past and promised to get this money within two to four weeks.
In his opening remarks, Mr Dar said some visible payments were due over the next few months. These would improve the country’s reserves position, he said, mentioning $850 million from the US on account of CSF among them.He said disbursement of $381m from the US was due this month, while bills for the January-March period had been submitted to the US. About $790m is due from the US for eight months of previous services. He said the government was in talks with the US for early reimbursements. The finance minister said in his recent meeting with Mr Hagel, he impressed that “these delays in CSF payments are not proper”. Mr Dar wondered how the agreements were finalised in the past with the US, saying these payments should have automatically gone into an Escrow account. The minister said it was strange that Pakistan was still fighting for reimbursements it had expended 14 months ago. He said he had also directed the quarters concerned to submit bills of up to Sept 30 immediately to the US. “Therefore, total outstanding amount against the US is about $1.5 billion now”.Mr Hagel appreciated his position and asked “us to address our lethargy in submission of bills and they would fast-track disbursements”, he added.

Pakistan Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif meets PM, takes metro ride
Pakistan Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and visited Delhi Metro's busiest Rajiv Chowk station.
Shahbaz, the younger brother of Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, arrived here this morning on the invitation of his Punjab counterpart in India, Parkash Singh Badal.
India and Pakistan can combat poverty if both the sides resolve their differences, said Shahbaz after meeting the PM.
Later, Shahbaz, who launched a Metro Bus Service project in Lahore, also visited the Patel Chowk Metro station.
After taking the metro ride, Shahbaz said he had a great time and said Delhi Metro was of great benefit to travellers.

In Godforsaken Allaah pasand country called pakisatan, a writer was harassed because he wrote against Army. He survived two assassination attempts, lives as a refugee in India.

How this guy managed to survive is a mystery, usually paki army is very professional in killing its own people.

Pakistani scribe pleads with Indian Govt.
On World Human Rights Day, Pakistani journalist-cum-activist Zulfiqar Shah has appealed to the Indian Government to prevent the Pakistan High Commission from persecuting him in India.

Since April 22, 2013, Mr. Shah has been staging a sit-in protest, first at the Press Club of India and now at Jantar Mantar here, appealing to the Indian Government to instruct the Pakistan High Commission not to interfere in his medical treatment in Delhi as he has been accorded a refugee status by the United Nations’ Commission on Human Rights.

Speaking to The Hindu , Mr. Shah, protesting along with his wife Fatima Shah, said: “Our protest is against me being poisoned by the ISI in Kathmandu during 2012. During my stay in Delhi throughout this year, the High Commission has pressurised the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences, Indian Spinal Injuries Centre and Moolchand Hospital to discontinue my treatment. I was not given treatment for five months. Now I am getting treatment at Apollo Hospital. The Indian Government needs to stop this interference.”

According to Mr. Shah, who hails from Hyderabad (Sindh), the Pakistan Army and the ISI started making life miserable for him when he started a movement for the rights of the fishing community in Sindh.

“I was fighting for the rights of the landless peasants in Sindh. In Pakistan, urban and rural land is gifted away to retired generals. I also staged a protest across the Sindh province against the killing and exodus of Hindus. In 2012, a senior Army official came to my home in Hyderabad and advised me to reduce the number of supporters and speak about the issues advocated by the Army like drone missiles. On my refusal, I was asked to live like any ordinary Pakistan national or go to other country. I was also threatened to desist from indulging in ‘anti-Pakistan’ activities, or else I might be run over by a speeding vehicle,” Mr. Shah said.

He claims that once a car tried to run him over at Asaf Ali Road here.

On May 30, 2012, Mr. Shah left with his wife for Kathmandu. He was compelled to shut down the institute where 12 employees were working.

“I rented a house in Kathmandu and started freelancing for Nepalese and foreign papers. On December 18, I was admitted to Himalayan Hospital where I was told that I was poisoned with heavy metals. My family suggested that I return to Pakistan. I was denied treatment at Pakistani hospitals. Due to involvement of Amnesty International and other human rights organisations, I was allowed to travel to India but told to return.”

Yet another good news in godforsaken Allaah pasand country, pakisatan. A lawyer who involved in anti-pakisatan activities by representing an anti-islam person like Dr. Shakil Afridi in courts has fled the country.

Lawyer for 'Bin Laden doctor' flees Pakistan
A lawyer for the jailed Pakistani doctor who helped the US track down former al-Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden has fled the country because of safety fears, a colleague and relatives said.

Samiullah Afridi was being pressured by some quarters to back down from Shakil Afridi's defence, they said.

In a hand-written letter smuggled to his lawyers from his prison cell earlier this mont
h, Dr Afridi said that he was being denied his right to a fair trial. It was his first contact with them for 15 months.

The BBC's M Ilyas Khan in Islamabad says many observers believe that Dr Adridi has been made a scapegoat for the intelligence failings of the military leading up to Bin Laden's death.
Threats

"Samiullah Afridi left yesterday [Wednesday]," Qamar Nadeem, another legal counsel for Dr Afridi, told the BBC.

"I had met him a day earlier but he did not indicate he had any plans to leave the country. I have now been told he is gone," he said. (Comeon pakis, you should be knowing this. How can a paki speak truth to fellow paki. Doesn't he know all pakis are treacherous?? )

Mr Nadeem said that Mr Afridi - who is not related to Dr Afridi - had mentioned to him on a number of occasions in recent days that he was receiving threats.

"I didn't ask and he never told me who was threatening him, or what was the nature of those threats," he said.

One of Mr Afridi's relatives told Reuters news agency that a militant group had threatened to blow up his car and kill his family if he did not stop pleading Dr Afridi's case. (Oh, it must be mother of all militant group called Inter Service Intelligence)

Samiullah Afridi was among three lawyers who filed an appeal on his behalf against the sentence.

The lawyers have been banned from meeting Dr Afridi in jail since September 2012 when he gave an interview to Fox News using a phone smuggled into his prison cell.
