Gentlemen enough of discussing CCFair. Unless it is in relation to some work she has done vis-a-vis TSP. This is TSP Dhaaga.

So, it should now be plain Saeed of the JuD/LeT?Reported in Dunya (May 17, 2015) Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority has told television news channels not to use honorable titles (ba izzat alqaab) with the names of terrorists. They must not use such titles as Molvi, Qari, Mufti or Hafiz with the names of terrorists, neither should they be called Doctor or Engineer. - See more at: http://www.thefridaytimes.com/tft/nugge ... iK1Ho.dpuf
schinnas, IMHO, we should not come to that conclusion just because the families of officers were on board. None other than Ms. C. Fair has said that the SFC transports the maal in unmarked trucks without any convoy or extensive protection, lest it catches attention. Pakistan would use every subterfuge.schinnas wrote:Contrary to what some of us initially thought, I doubt if the train was transporting maal. If that was the case, officers wouldnt be taking their families with them.
What about 'Professor' ? I do not see that explicitly mentioned in that list. After all, Hafeez Saeed saheb is a Professori! What about suffixes like saheb, ji etc?A_Gupta wrote:So, it should now be plain Saeed of the JuD/LeT?Reported in Dunya (May 17, 2015) Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority has told television news channels not to use honorable titles (ba izzat alqaab) with the names of terrorists. Answer inAnujan wrote:The train bridge accident thing (as far as i can gather) is people palming off blame.
Here is a riddle (inspired from TFT).
Question: 3 trains went over a Paki bridge yesterday, one in the morning, one in noon, one in the evening. one of them broke the bridge and fell down in a canal. Which train was it? The morning, noon or evening train?Answer: How would I know, I am not a railway engineer.
By Lahori logic, this is the holy month of Ramadan and all Baki trains are pious. The morning and noon trains observe 'fast'. Hence bridge does not break. However, only the evening train is allowed to break(up) fast.Anujan wrote:The train bridge accident thing (as far as i can gather) is people palming off blame.
One worthy declared that all trains including the last train went over the bridge without any incident, then how come this one broke the bridge and fell down![]()

The possibility of a formal meeting between Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in Russia next week brightened with both sides showing flexibility for a dialogue and amid calls by the US and other global powers to reduce tension in South Asia.
"No side has contacted the other for a meeting so far. However, as you would be aware, in any multilateral setting, meetings among heads of state and government is a normal feature," Pakistan Foreign Office Spokesman Qazi Khalilullah said on Thursday
Meanwhile, sources in the Indian government neither ruled out nor confirmed the possibility of a Modi-Sharif meeting in the Russian city of Ufa, raising speculations of a dialogue.
However, a meeting in Ufa should not be construed as resumption of formal dialogue, Indian government sources indicated. The developments come amid the US hope that New Delhi and Islamabad would work on issues between them.
There are also indications that Russia and China would also like two PMs to have a dialogue. Both India and Pakistan are expected to be made members of SCO at the July 9-10 summit, upgrading their status from observers.

It should be noted that Operation Khyber-II has not resulted in actual physical control by the military of all three passes from Tirah into Afghanistan — though the unreclaimed valleys of one of the three passes can, according to the military, be controlled by aerial firepower because the military now occupies the peaks over them.
This means two things. One, Operation Khyber-II may require another phase for the total recapture of Tirah. Two, the military may apparently be forced into the continued use of air strikes in the Rajgal and Kachkol valleys to prevent the movement of militants until winter.
At that point, with the onset of the cold season, a new challenge will emerge if the valleys have not been taken over by the military by then — ensuring a military presence in tough and inhospitable terrain while simultaneously guarding against hardened militants slipping in under the cover of extreme temperatures.
KARACHI: Reham Khan, wife of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, said Saturday that the approach of the Sindh government towards heatwave victims was apathetic.
An interesting question that should have been asked her would be the source of funding for this 'charitable act'- personal monies (unlikely) or KPK provincial funds (?) or as usual (most likely) it is just a publicity gimmick to prepare her entry in Paki politics.Earlier, speaking upon her arrival in Karachi outside the Jinnah International Airport, Reham said that she had personally organised a shelter where people can come and seek respite from the heat during the day.
"We will provide water, iftar and a cool environment for our brothers and sisters for however long this difficult time prevails."

Those exempted include all women and children under 12, senior citizens, lawmakers and executives, diplomats and foreigners, journalists and lawyers, members of country clubs, doctors and teachers. Further, the notice said, “famous players of hockey, cricket, football and golf” and “celebrities” do not have to purchase the entry coupon.

“To ensure that shopping at Centaurus does not become inconvenient to them, we have decided to introduce an entry coupon of Rs100 per person,” the public notice read.

etc., etc.SAHIWAL: Heritage is more than a record of the past. It should become living and an integral part of both rural and urban identity for future generations.
This is moving away from simply developing inventory or depository of artefacts, monuments, remains or material resources to something like living phenomena becoming part and parcel of people’s social behaviours and practices.
This was stressed by Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) Chairman Dr Nizamuddin while presiding over a seminar on ‘The role of higher education in promoting and preserving cultural heritage’ organised by the Comsats Institute of information Technology’s (CIIT) Department of Heritage Studies in collaboration with PHEC on Wednesday.
He said this practice actually kept heritage alive and linked the past with present and future so people could take pride in ownership of that heritage. He also added Harappa was a living heritage of the people of the land and higher educational institutes must teach such disciplines.
Renowned archaeologist Dr Rafique Mughal said the purpose of the seminar was to introduce and bring questions of identity and heritage to higher academic institutes. He said Comsats had developed a heritage study department that was the only department in Punjab where living history and culture would be taught.
CIIT Director Dr Abdul Waheed said even educated people in Pakistan had no sense of association with the great civilisations of this region, popularly called the Gandhara and Indus Valley civilisations.
The Indian intelligence agencies have sounded an alert following reports suggesting that the Islamic State (Isis) has been spreading its territory to the Afghanistan-Pakistan (AfPak) region as it poses great security threat to India.

My question is........do they have that many trains?Anujan wrote:The train bridge accident thing (as far as i can gather) is people palming off blame.
Apparently the bridge has been classified "extremely dangerous". Nobody repaired or maintained the bridge. It collapsed when this train passed by, this train had goods coaches attached to it and it wasnt clear if they followed weight and max loading norms. Then everyone and their grandmother related to railways immediately yelled "RAAAAAA KANSPEERACEEEEE!!!!!" so that they arent debriefed and lamposted by the army. Army might have tried them in a military court for negligence and thrown them into a dungeon, TFTAs are that powerful these days. Every petty little crime is being labeled "terrorism" these days in Pakiland and being tried in military court. Who inspected the bridge? Who inspected the train to make sure it wasnt overloaded? Did the driver follow speed norms? Was any action taken on the report that the bridge was old and dangerous? All of these people would have been tried for "terrorism" in a military court and sent to a ISI dungeon. It benefits everyone to yell "RAAAAAAAA!!!!!!"

NEW DELHI (Web Desk) – “Altaf Hussain is a guest of MI6 in Britain and all questions about him should be answered by MI6,” said A S Dulat, the former chief of India’s notorious spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). He was talking to an Indian Tv Channel NDTV recently.
During the interview when asked about his opinion on recent allegations on RAW about supporting MQM, a political party which has allegedly been involved in terrorism and criminal activities in Pakistan’s largest city Karachi, he brushed off the accusations by claiming thatMI6 is hosting Altaf Hussain in London despite his party’s questionable activities and any question about MQM or its chief Altaf Hussain should be directed to the MI6.
“British interest in the MQM is largely driven by the perception that the party offers a defence against jihadis. But there is more to it than that. The MQM is British turf: Karachi is one of the few places left on earth in which the Americans let Britain take the lead. The US consulate in Karachi no longer runs active intelligence gathering operations in the city. The British still do. When it comes to claiming a place at the top table of international security politics – London’s relationship with the MQM is a remaining toehold,” he writes.

Exactly 38 years ago on 5th July 1977, the military regime of General Zia ul Haq overthrew the democratically-elected government of PPP founder Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
PPP Chairman Bilawal said his maternal grandfather Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had “collected the pieces of a shattered Pakistan in 1971, gave it a Constitution, laid foundations of country’s biggest industrial units like Pakistan Steel, Heavy Mechanical Complex etc.He founded the nuclear programme to make the defence of Pakistan invincible, introduced one-man one-vote, land reforms and several other historic projects to put the country on sound tracks.

http://arynews.tv/en/rasheed-embarrasse ... udi-arabiaLAHORE: Federal Information Minister Pervez Rasheed on Saturday expressed embarrassment over Zaid Hamid’s issue saying that the ‘other world countries are being bothered by us’, ARY News reported.
Taking exception to Zaid Hamid on the occasion of an Iftar dinner at Aiwan-e-Iqbal, Pervez Rasheed said the defense analyst caused ‘defamation of Pakistan’.
However, he said the Foreign Office (FO) of Pakistan is looking after the matter and is in contact with the Saudi authorities.
When asked about rigging allegations by Tehreek-i-Insaf, the minister declined to comment until the judicial commission does not announce its verdict.
Rasheed, however, suggested Imran Khan to be cautious from his ‘close friends’ regarding 35 punctures issue.
In response to a query about Muttahida Qaumi Movement, he said the government is in touch with the UK authorities with regard to Altaf Hussain and MQM, however the matter will be discussed after the evidences come forth.
In his word about the National Action Plan, Pervez Rasheed said the attorney general will present the government’s stance in the Supreme Court, yet it is not a plan to be executed within a day and is being acted upon phase by phase.
A couple of weeks ago, Zaid Hamid had been arrested in Saudi Arabia for reportedly criticizing the Kingdom for its aggressive stance in Yemen.
A Saudi court also sentenced the defense analyst to 1,000 lashes and 8 years of imprisonment.
Pakistan’s Foreign Office is trying these days to obtain consular access to Hamid. He had been in Saudi Arabia for offering Umrah.

LAHORE: Punjab-based textile millers have decided to close down their industrial units, blaming direct and indirect taxes coupled with the energy crisis as the core reason for them to take the extreme step.
“We had persuaded our members to not go on strike but the current scenario has tied their hands and they have no choice but to opt for the closure,” said All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (Aptma) Chairman SM Tanveer.
The textile industry consumes about 2,000MW of electricity, most of which is consumed in Punjab.
Tanveer said the additional tax translated into an extra burden of Rs200 million per day on the textile industry. The power tariff in all regional economies is lower than 10 cents while Pakistani spinners, after the levy of tax, are charged 14 cents per unit.
Cheers“Against Pakistan’s textile exports of $13 billion, the industry will be paying an additional $1 billion in new power and energy taxes imposed in the budget,” he said. “Which industry could bear an additional 9% expenditure when it cannot recover the money from exports?”
