i guess if the US can guarentee Irans prices it will definitely have volumes enough to shut up Trump  .. and he would likely shout it as victory from the rooftops !

Works for India is the O&G are delivered at Indian ports at cheaper prices when compared to the Gulf/Russians. Competition always benefits the buyers if the buyers knows how to play one against the other.

Frump get to brag about the yuge deal and we get Frump to back off on issues of our concern and their support on others. India anyways has to import it from someone. Let it be the US. Theen hai.

Not a reply to you post but using you post to provide context for mine.

It should not matter much to India if Frump meets Dimran or not. By now the world knows that Frump is a braggart and almost eveyone applies Yuge discount to his pronouncements. Dimran learnt what most Americans and America watchers knew already the hard way last time.

Would it be better if there was no meeting between Dimran and Frump? Yes
Would it be a disaster for India if they met and Frump talked "mediation" ? Absolutely Not!

We Endians get exited very easily.

Trump, along with the PM of Australia, is opening a plant in Ohio that I believe is funded by the Aussies.

Late January will be when the primaries for the US general election kick off. A bunch of states have moved their primaries up in the year including the big one - CA. Trump is unopposed, but will be busy trolling Democrats on-line and off-line. It's going to be fun!

Anyone following the Whistle Blower dustup? Looks like Trump made a promise to one world leader when he spoke to him. Now the whisle blower got so concerned about it he made a complaint to Inspector General of the intel dept. This complaint was made on Aug 12. One of the leaders that Trump spoke was Immy the Dimmy. So is this anything to do with Kashmir 'mediation' or 'interference'? T also spoke to Putin, Un, PM of Netherlands and Emir of Qatar. I am just wondering if T made a promise to IK that if he delivers AFG, T will deliver Kashmir.

Not to go OT but from now on we should have only heavyweights coming as chief guest for the RD parade. Either the big/worthy countries or failing that a trade bloc/grouping of nations should be invited like was done with ASEAN a year back.We can call Mercosur, AU, Eurasia, Comesa, and so on for future parades. No more situations where Presidents/PM of countries like Nepal, Bhutan or Fiji are the chief guest.

Not trying to take away from Tulsi's admirable character but Indian SM is misreading her actions & words in this matter:

- there is no politically sane way she could be on the same stage as Trump. Whether she would have been at the rally if Trump was not attending, we will never know.

- As a responsible US political leader aiming for some credibility in international arena she had to dispel the impression being created that India's PM Modi is persona non grata to her. Being sane and sensible, and not treating US foreign relations as a demagogic football is her brand that sets her apart from nearly every other US pol at her level and above.

Indian left is congenitally stupid and vicious. They make everything about evil Mudi. We have to be cautious to not become their mirror image.

This is politically motivated by the leftists. The left will say anything or do anything to make Trump look bad. Much like Mudi and Endians are all Hitlerian fascists.

any input on why is Trump joining Modi's rally, whats in it for Trump? Being a businessman he won;t attend for free. Recently Kamla Harris also tried to get cosy to Indians by addressing them as 'South Asian' .

This list is probably not exhaustive as many places would have avoided the usage of www to advertise and resorted to other communication routes.

Is there a law which prohibits usage of mosques for political purposes & disruption in US? Since Trump is invited won't secret service get involved in this?

Last year India imported $130 billion of crude oil. As the economy grows, even with renewable energy, this amount will still increase. Modi is in Houston to sign energy deals worth 100s of billions over a decade. This is the same reason UAE and Saudis have been supportive of Modi and India. Now it is America’s turn and any POTUS of any party will be there with Modi.

Don’t fall for the liberals who are criticizing Trump and or Modi about this. It is all about trade and commerce.

These mosques and gurudwaras should lose their US tax exempt status as charitable religious organizations.

Same here. Don’t call me South Asian or desi. Indian is the correct term. There is no such thing as South Asian. There are people from Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Myanmar. Cameltoe Harris can stuff it.

Intense lobbying to ensure grand gathering at ‘Howdy, Modi’

Note that most of those who are anti-India are Democrats mixed with a few Republicans beholden to the sunni-Islamists. People like Ro Khanna and Jaypal should be given an earful and be told that campaign donations will be withheld until their positions are crystal clear.
