The theory of Martial races was complete BS spread by the British, it was more of "theory of races and castes where we have our people to influence so that they stay loyal"
For example, Marathas were no longer classified as martial after the 1857 rebellion

Sure why not? They only had people like Shivaji.
Same with the SDRE southies, whose history and literature abounds with warriors and peans sung to bravery and courage. Rajendra Chola had conquered half of Indonesia and everything in between. Remember that LTTE was fullout southie SDRE and southie SDREs also have contributed to Army chiefs like Sundarji and Padmanabhan. But they werent classified as "martial" because the hierarchical structures like landowning classes did not dominate fully in south and it was hard to exert control.
The Punjabi Mussalman on the other hand, was loyal and could be controlled and fought for the British. So they rewarded them with "Martial" tag and recruited them liberally in Indian Army (pre Independence) Ofcourse this got interpreted as "One Pakistani = 8 Hindoos" and the "Martial Pakistanis" got their musharraf repeatedly kicked by the Indian army who employes SDREs onlee.
interesting thing is, they got their musharraf kicked in the desert, in the plains, in marshes, on top of mountains, in glaciers, on the sea, under the sea, on air. There is not one place where the Pakistani martial races didnt get their musharraf kicked by non-martial SDREs.

In the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, a country self-claimed to have been created to provide a safe haven for the Mohammaddens of the Indian Sub-Continent, adherents of the Shia sect of Mohammaddenism stubbornly cling to the delusion that the slaughter of Shia is not a case of Green on Green Intra-Mohammdden violence unleashed by their co-religionists of the Sunni sect but rather a case of violence perpetrated by the Yahudi, Hanood and Nasara axis of Israel, India and the US

.
Looks like the Shia have fallen victim to the rhetoric dished out by the leadership of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan that Mohammaddenim is “The Religion of Peace” and hence no Mohammadden can kill another Mohammadden leading to the conclusion that the killings have to have been committed by Non-Mohammaddens.

‘US, Israel, India behind Shia killings’

Pakistan army or Pakjabis have never been martial and never will be in future!! It is our political leadership that is just afraid of their empty threats!! We should have taken over Pakistan in 1971!! but 43 years later we are still suffering!! the sooner the Pakjabis are destroyed the better it will be for the whole of the world!!

Pakistani Panjabis are martial in the same sense as they ruled Hindus for 8 centuries; in the same manner as they created the magnificence of Indo-Islamic architecture. Just as they gave the world Mir Taqi Mir and Ghalib.
Any achievement of the umma is de facto by the umma in which the Pakistani Panjabi peasant tilling his hard scrabble 1/4 acre with the help of his water buffalo and the benefit of his IQ of 75 to 85 holds, by birthright, an inalienable equity.

Apparently today (or rather yesterday in India) there was some music competition being shown on an Indian channel and the Pakis who had been invited as part of Aman-ki-Tamasha started fighting with the judges and raising a ruckus.
It all looks pretty well scripted.
1) Engage in Rona Dhona as to how India should be a big brother and invite Pakis. Keep begging at every venue for some scrap to be thrown their way.
2) Get invited to India.
3) Boast how the invitation proves that India recognizes the natural soup-e-rear skills of the Paki in XYZ field.
4) Arrive in India, enjoy all the hospitality, try to get some lucrative contracts/appearances.
5) Create a scene accusing hosts of not being generous and hospitable enough. Call press conferences in host country to proclaim the same.
6) Go back to Pakistan and loudly proclaim how the whole India trip was the most insulting thing and how India is cheap dirty poor place much worse off than Pakistan and how they were able to lord over the Indians while there.
7) Go back to Step #1, rinse and repeat.
The only cure for these uncivilized wretched cretins is to ignore them completely. The more one pays attention to them, the more it serves their purpose. Ignore them as if they don't exist and they will keep making bigger and bigger fools of themselves.
As Anujan-ullah stated a while back, the problem with Pakis is they want others to tell them that they have a big richard. They are happy if someone even brings into discussion the size of their richard, since according to them that proves the existence of their richard. OTOH, if one ignores them and doesn't say anything, they will go crazy and will start tearing their clothes off and start wildly swinging their richard at others in public, with expected results.

Pakistan: Attack on Hindus prompts blasphemy case
Pakistani police say they have registered a blasphemy case against nine Muslims suspected of attacking a Hindu temple.
The case is fairly unusual — Pakistan’s harsh blasphemy laws are more often invoked against alleged insults to Islam, not minority faiths.
The laws, sections of which carry the death penalty or life imprisonment, have faced international scrutiny this year after a young Christian girl in Islamabad was accused of desecrating a Quran.
Police officer Mohammad Hanif said Muslims protesting an anti-Islam film on Sept. 21 ransacked the Sri Krishna Ram temple in a Hindu neighborhood on the outskirts of the southern city of Karachi.
They allegedly broke Hindu statues, damaged a holy book and beat the custodian.
A cleric is among the suspects, but none had been arrested as of Sunday.

The primary objective of this drama might be to:
1. To legitimize blasphemy law and soften its image by demonstrating that it can be used to "protect" minorities.
2. An image building exercise by Pakistanis who are very conscious of the fact that it has taken a beating recently. Already the news has appeared on a series of international news web-sites.
Not a single suspect has been arrested till now. I am sure nothing will come off it. Another thing I noticed was that none of the "modernly enlightened" Pakistani newspapers reported this act of vandalism on 21st September when it was committed in the financial capital of Pakistan. I wonder how many such embarrassing events are self-censured by the Pakistani Media.

Convicted 26/11 terrorist Ajmal Kasab desperately wanted to meet the Pakistani high commissioner in India after his arrest in Mumbai.
TOI has obtained exclusive copies of the two letters Kasab wrote in Urdu to the Pakistani high commissioner. The first sought an appointment for legal help and requested that the body of his colleague, Ismail Khan, be taken back to Pakistan for burial. The second letter said he did not want the services of an Indian lawyer and requested the Pakistan government to appoint a compatriot "mere bachav ke liye (for my protection)". Neither of his letters got any response.
In the first undated letter that runs into three pages, Kasab stated that he was a resident of Faridkot in Pakistan's Punjab province. Providing his residence telephone number (03017363886), Kasab, now 25, admitted his role in the Mumbai attack and narrated his journey from Pakistan till he was captured.
"I took training in a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) training camp since I wanted to become a jihadi. For this, I learned to operate firearms and bombs at Muridke in Muzaffarabad and became a fidayeen. Hafiz Saeed, Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, Abu Hamza and Kahafa trained me in LeT camps and brainwashed me," Kasab wrote.

Insecurity Pushes More Hindu refugees into Rajasthan
The largest group of refugees, made up of 184 people, came in by the India-Pakistan Thar Express on the second Sunday of September. Last Sunday saw another 48 Pakistanis arrive on pilgrim visa, and then refuse to return home. There are now over 300 people housed in the camps on the town’s {Jodhpur's} suburbs.
Ram and his extended family fled Pakistan in the face of religious persecution. His father, Soomro (70), died just nine days before the team left for India. Soomro was buried at Mitho Khoso in Tando Adam of Hyderabad district, 40-45 km from the place of his death. The grieving family says it had no option but to take the body that far and bury it as cremation — the traditional way of disposal of the body for Hindus — was not allowed.
“Life there is worse than death,” says Ram. “The main reason for our decision not to go back is the insecurity to our women and the religious persecution.”
There are social and economic hardships too like bonded labour, non-payment of wages and lifting of livestock belonging to the minority population.
Asked about the reported instances of kidnapping of Hindu girls that have figured in the Pakistani media in the recent months, Dharma Ram, Suraj Mal, Devji Ram, Longa Das, Lokumal and Kanwar Ram claim that the average is of 30 cases in a month in Sindh alone. They said a 14-year-old Puna was kidnapped from their locality 10 days prior to their departure.
While the wars between the two neighbours in the 1960s and early 1970s drove them in hordes out of Pakistan —90,000 reached Rajasthan in 1971— the fencing of the border in the past two decades had almost put an end to the illegal crossing over to this side.
A visit to the camp and other locations such as Ramdeo Nagar inhabited by migrants gives the impression that the administration, though sympathetic, has not done much. This is despite Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot himself promising them help.

Actually the visit by UN to investigate "extra judicial killings" was quite curious and left a lot of people furious.
Pak army was trying to raise the drone killings as "extra judicial" but the UN panel was more interested in investigating Balochistan. Birkin Babe had some murky role in that. Payback for that maybe?

Normally, Pakistani foreign ministers are Army appointees. Birkin Babe, no exception to that rule, was as well parroting the Army line. So, from where did she get the courage, if that was why the PA is suddenly angry with her, to kick the ladder after climbing it ? It appears to me that the Bilawal-Birkin Babe (BBB) affair emanting from an obscure Bangladeshi newspaper is a PA-ISI planted story.
Or, is it something else which we are not seeing ?

Birkin Babe denies affair. PPP blames ISI for starting rumor.
Senior PPP figures on Thursday said they believed the claims were part of a plot by the country’s feared Inter-Service Intelligence [ISI] agency to damage Ms Rabbani Khar’s reputation because it blames her for her part in facilitating a UN investigation into thousands of missing people detained by the security forces.
One PPP official told The Daily Telegraph that the ISI expects the United Nations’ Working Group on Enforced and Involuntary Disappearances to recommend senior army and intelligence officials be charged for their role and blame Ms Rabbani Khar for allowing the delegation into the country.
“They are not happy with her,” the official said. “The UN mission received a cold reception but Hina was called in by the president to meet him and the army chief. She crossed some red line.”

GHOTKI:
Two people were injured in Dad Laghari, Ghotki on Sunday when seminary students allegedly attacked wedding guests for singing folk songs.
According to reports, women were singing a Sindhi folk song ‘Sehra’ when students from the nearby madrassa, led by Maulvi Tayyab Arain, attacked the guests with sticks and stones. Hadi Bux Malik and his son-in-law, Hajan Malik, were injured.
“It was my son’s engagement,” said Hadi Bux. “They asked us to stop singing and used abusive language for our women and children.”
Hadi Bux and relatives went to the police station for registering an FIR. The police, however, detained Hajan Malik and registered an NC against him on the complaint of Maulvi Tayyab, who also reached the station along with his students.

Well Pakis do indeed feel like boasting of their richards and orchards.
Once in a forum a Paki started telling how Indians don't have big richards and some BBC report said so. So I told him that in 1971, when 93,000 Pakis surrendered to India, we made them take off their pants and we measured the size of their richards. We found out that their richards were one foot long .... that is all of them put together.
The Pakis however never got the opportunity to measure the richards of Indians. However when GUBO of Pakis start in earnest, well they may get an opportunity. The measurement will then be in decibel of Urdu!

Pakistan railways: Contrasting views of Indian engines
However, Daily Passengers Association President Hafiz Abdul Qayyum said the engines India was offering were too old. He said that India had bought the engines from an American company several decades ago. That company closed 26 years ago over quality concerns, he said. He said Pakistan should buy engines from a company of good repute and should not repeat the mistake of 2005. “Pakistan Railways spent a huge amount on the purchase of 69 engines from a Chinese company then, but 50 of them are not working now,” he said.
kamments below are even better
p r sharma: it is strange that daily passengers’ Association is evaluating the quality of Railway engines to be bought ‘ No mention what type of engine is offered.
For kind information – Diesel Engines for railway are manufactured in India.
simsim: It is about time we stop building tanks and subs and start building our own train engines (deisel or electric). Leveraging some of the the existing resources from the army. They got enough toys already

Rangudu, thanks. But, somehow, I am unable to believe that the UN Group's visit is causing all this takleef for the PA. UN has indicted Pakistan in Afghanistan suicide bombing; Zardari invited UN investigation into BB's assassination and the UN investigators severely reprimanded the 'State within the State'. UNSC has banned several Pakistani terror organizations and individuals. All these have already dented PA's image and investigation into Balochistan is not going to cause any greater damage, IMHO. The damage will come much more from CJP Iftikhar's court orders on Balochistan.
