I was a bit shocked to read that the Govt. was openly taking money from these Arabs and facilitating this hunting in return.
But then I thought, it is Pakistan we're talking about.

How many have heard the way Alexander crossed the monsoon swollen Jhelum river to enter Porus' Kingdom.
Alexander's army and Porus' patrols were on either sides of the river and the patrols were closely tracking his movements.
His army would move up and down the river bank and make a lot of noise. Porus Patrols got habitual of following this noisy army movement.

Reactive Indian force was obviously standing opposite Craterus.

Constant firing near border under the guise that hunting is going on, is not a good sign and should definitely be discouraged.

Ask all Pakis seeking India visa to go thru compulsory polio and other vaccination at Indian consulate in Pakistan (we may have to open 786 consulates to serve all the visa applications) and pay for the expenses (must be above Indian Rs 10,000 and force Pakis to purchase INR at conversion rates).

This will reduce visa applications. But the true muslims will do few soosai bombings at these indian consulate queues and the problem is solved.

Those budget numbers are madrassa math. There are three chunks they don't count.

First is the opportunity cost. Army runs trucking, sugar, cement ityadi and pay no taxes. These are a loss to the exchequer. Ayesha Agha has written in her book about this and the size of this "mil bus" rivals the private sector !!

Second is the land they occupy. Army is the largest landholder in Pakistan. How much is that land worth ?

Third is accounting sialkot statistics. Musharraf started the practice of billing pension, medical benefits and insurance for army personnel under civilian budget.
