In WWII, the allies built an elaborate hoax – using rubber tanks, canvas ships, plywood aircraft, and even dummy soldiers to fool the Germans. Since there are no ground level visual confirmations, could this be another ruse by the chinis to fool enemy spy satellites? Also note that this supposedly "spy" photo has been posted by a chini teetar. I question how an "oldinaly" chini would get hold of such a photo and why would Unca' Eleven permit such a photo to be published on a public fora unless it was a set up?
My skeptical keeps wondering.

Fakes and decoys are inherently defensive bluffs. You cannot attack with fakes and decoys. When you use non-existent weapon systems, you are telling people “don’t attack me, I have tons of stuff that you, ah, can’t see right now but they are there on our territory.”kit wrote:

There always have been fakes and the chinese are the masters at it .. to no ones surprise .. its their way of showing "strength" even if none exists

A new and improved engine designed to make China’s J-20 stealth fighter a world-class combat jet should be ready for mass production by the end of the year, military sources have said.
The WS-15 engine features cutting-edge single-crystal turbine blades and has been in development for several years, but Chinese technicians have struggled to get it into mass production.
However, many of the problems – which largely related to blades overheating at top speeds – have been ironed out in ground tests and trial flights, putting the goal of a consistently high quality product in sight, sources told the South China Morning Post.

Beijing-based military expert Zhou Chenming said that China expected the US to deploy between 200 and 300 F-35s – its most advanced stealth fighter – in the Asia-Pacific by 2025, which meant “China needs a similar number of J-20s, or at least 200”.

The sources’ claims add weight to an April report by state broadcaster China Central Television (CCTV) that said Chengdu Aerospace Corporation, which manufactures the J-20, was set to open a fourth production line for the stealth fighter in 2019.
And last month CCTV reported that China’s air force had stepped up its training programme for J-20 pilots.

China is moving closer to mass-producing an improved engine with a longer lifespan and more power for its first aircraft carrier-based fighter jet, the J-15, according to military analysts.

Details about the WS-10H emerged after military sources told the South China Morning Post this week that a new and improved engine for China’s J-20 stealth fighter would be ready for mass production by the end of the year.

China plans to have at least four aircraft carrier groups operating by 2030 as it tries to build up a blue-water navy that can operate globally. That would mean the Chinese navy will need at least 130 carrier-based fighter jets in service by 2030. At the moment, the J-15 is the only carrier-based warplane in service – and the PLA Navy has less than 30 of them.

AVIC’s former chairman, Lin Zuoming, told state media last year that its latest single-crystal turbine blades – used in the WS-10 series engines – can now withstand temperatures of up to 2,000 degrees Celsius (3,632 Fahrenheit). He said that development had extended the engine’s lifespan from 800 to 1,500 hours.

The WS-15 is speculated to be capable of producing up to 133 kilonewtons of thrust. The WS-15 is considered vital to enhancing the J-20's capabilities as Russia has been reluctant to part with its latest technology given China's alleged history of espionage and reverse-engineering.
