I think the "No Ships Shall Pass" by Iran is fake news. Their consistent song has been that no ships of their adversaries shall pass, and the rest can pass after getting permission and possibly paying tolls.

The part in bold and the fact that the post was deleted suggest to me that this is yet another madman.Uganda’s Chief of Defense Forces (CDF), Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has expressed strong support for Israel amidst the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday.
His remarks, despite being personal, are often interpreted as reflecting state policy due to his influential position and his status as the son of President Yoweri Museveni.
In his posts, Gen. Kainerugaba emphasized, “Israel has a right to exist and attacks against her must stop.” He called for an immediate cessation of the conflict, stating, “We want the war in the Middle East to end now. The world is tired of it.”
He further warned that any efforts to defeat Israel would prompt Uganda’s involvement, stating, “On the side of Israel!”
In a deleted post, cited by The Jerusalem Post, Kainerugaba suggested that Uganda’s military, the Uganda People’s Defense Force (UPDF), might join the war on Israel’s side if it continued.
He claimed, “We could have captured Tehran in 72 hours without any bombing,” adding, “But of course, they never listen to a black man. Why bomb people who support you?”
Last month, he announced plans to build a statue of Lt.-Col. Yonatan “Yoni” Netanyahu, the brother of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, at Entebbe International Airport.
Yoni Netanyahu was killed during Operation Thunderbolt, a 1976 Israeli rescue mission at Entebbe Airport in which 102 hostages were freed from a hijacked Air France plane.
Kainerugaba described the statue as a symbol of the strong bond between Uganda and Israel.
No formal government announcement has been made regarding the statue, but Kainerugaba highlighted the importance of the tribute, linking it to Israel’s historic support of Uganda during its early post-independence years.
..
The 1976 Entebbe hijacking remains a key moment in the historical relationship between Uganda and Israel.
The Israeli raid, led by Yonatan Netanyahu, resulted in the successful rescue of hostages held by militants at Entebbe Airport.
The operation, which involved a daring assault by Israeli commandos, ended with the death of Netanyahu and the elimination of all seven hijackers.
The bond between the two nations has been further solidified by this event, with Kainerugaba referencing the role Israel played in Uganda’s development.
“Israel stood with us when we were nobodies in the 1980s and 1990s. Why wouldn’t we defend her now that our GDP is $100 billion?” he said.

Israel Army Near Collapse? IDF Raises “10 Red Flags”; Bibi Slammed Over “War Without Strategy” | 4K
Israel's main opposition leader Yair Lapid accused the government on Thursday (March 27) of steering the country towards a "security disaster" because of a shortage of combat soldiers.
"The IDF is stretched to the limit and beyond. The government is leaving the army wounded out on the battlefield," Lapid said in a televised statement, echoing a warning delivered a day earlier by military chief Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir to the security cabinet, according to Israeli media reports.
"The government is sending the army into a multi-front war without a strategy, without the necessary means, and with far too few soldiers," Lapid said.
Media reports quoted Zamir as telling the security cabinet that "the IDF is on the verge of collapse".

Around 120 plus should have been ordered in initial batch with 20 each for A&N and Southern Command. 40 each for both Western and Eastern Fleet.

Plans and the work towards that are fine, but when new technology and new ways of warfighting is available to you and you are the pioneer, its time to grab the opportunity order it and not waste time, Today the U.S has got it deployed. We keep waiting and eventually few more years down the line, someone else will offer the same thing that we have developed and the same will get imported. And that company will utilize your own money to build a better version and offer the next variant to you, while you are made to improve on your product. The foreign company offers their improved weapon and it keeps getting imported. Also they capture the market for such a weaponry across the world, while our decision makers sit and twiddle their thumb and make statement instead of getting these things inducted and give the Indian companies a competitive edge in the global market.Manish_P wrote: ↑28 Mar 2026 09:55Has the IN released a Vision 2040 or 2047 document listing their plans/wishlists ?uddu wrote: ↑28 Mar 2026 08:11 Orders must have been placed for Matangi and it's weaponized version also tested, but MoD is sleeping. Iran Strikes US AWACS Aircraft at Saudi’s Prince Sultan Air Base I US-Iran War
An Iranian missile attack wounded at least 12 U.S. service members and damaged several planes at a military base in Saudi Arabia, according to two U.S. officials familiar with the situation.
Two of the troops were seriously wounded, one of the officials said. The attack on Prince Sultan Air Base damaged several U.S. refueling aircraft, said the officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive military matters.

Only 5 days of oil reserves in India? How BBC is fear mongering with misleading headlines—Here’s the truth behind this ‘British propaganda’
BBC Hindi’s report creates an exaggerated sense of crisis by isolating the “five-day” strategic reserve figure while ignoring India’s broader 74-day fuel buffer and diversified supply chains. By downplaying government assurances and operational realities, it presents a distorted picture of energy insecurity that doesn’t align with the actual ground situation.

For decades, the BBC maintained a secret office in London where MI5 agents vetted employees. Personnel files were marked with a small green christmas tree stamp.
This meant the employee had been cleared by intelligence. Those suspected of being subversive/too critical of the establishment were quietly denied promotions/fired.
The BBC was never a newsroom; it was a security-vetted echo chamber. This ensured that the people reaching the top of the organization were naturally aligned with the British state’s core interests.

The BR consensus seems to largely be “we’re ok with this” regarding the destruction of Iran, the actions of Israel, etc. Is that a fair assessment? I’m not picking up on much pushback, concern, horror at the destruction and death… none of it seems to illicit any sympathy or consternation among the majority of people here. I must say I’m a little surprised.

Am not happy with any of it. Iran is a rogue nation and Israel and the US have joined it. This war damages India. Any close embrace of Israel or the US is now proven to lead one into unwanted wars. India needs to quadruple its strength as fast as is humanly possible. The fortunes of 1.4 billion Indians cannot remain tied to rogue actors.Y. As a nation that remembers history, many of Iran regime's actions were hostile towards India. Even today they are holding our tankers from safe passage and only letting one or two at times. Otherwise they will attack. That itself is a hostile act. We better push our own government in inducting indigenous weaponry that has completed trials rather waste bandwidth and time on Iran and U.S.Y. Kanan wrote: ↑30 Mar 2026 02:17 The BR consensus seems to largely be “we’re ok with this” regarding the destruction of Iran, the actions of Israel, etc. Is that a fair assessment? I’m not picking up on much pushback, concern, horror at the destruction and death… none of it seems to illicit any sympathy or consternation among the majority of people here. I must say I’m a little surprised.
In the end we all get behind the biggest bully on the playground and we play nice, don’t we? The US appears to be the new Britain from our POV, the big scary empire we all support now, because they’re clearly winning at the moment. Interesting psychology on display here.

Iran Launches ‘Janfada’ Campaign As US Prepares Ground Operations In West Asia | News9
As the United States ramps up military presence in West Asia with 3,500 additional troops, Iran has launched a mass mobilisation campaign called “Janfada” — meaning sacrificing life — urging citizens to volunteer against American forces.
Reports suggest that recruitment messages have been sent directly to mobile users across Iran. Meanwhile, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has accused the US of secretly preparing for ground operations despite ongoing diplomatic signals.
Speculation is also growing over possible US plans targeting key strategic locations like Kharg Island and the Strait of Hormuz — critical to global oil supply.
With tensions rising rapidly, the situation could mark a dangerous turning point in the US-Iran conflict.

On Sunday, March 29, 2026, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar stumbled and fell while welcoming foreign dignitaries in Islamabad. The incident occurred at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Dar stepped forward to greet Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelatty, appearing to lose his footing on a carpet.
The picture in the background seems to vaguely resemble the 93,000 surrender ritual of 1971.

This time around at least we are aware of what the oil game is and have some cards with the refinery business. We have bigger devils in our midst and far more victims of persecution of that desert cult that frankly makes us numb to this war. We have been bitten by this region despite our obsequiousness in 70s and 80s when we had not seen terror yet. Frankly I would have loved whole of Asia rising up and securing the strait because the Atlantic’s are once again at our doorstep and yet we are divided in our loyalties !Y. I agree Chetak and If I was the Iranians I would extract a very heavy price from the GCC countries. BTW no need for the jichetak wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026 15:20rajkumar wrote: ↑28 Mar 2026 20:19 Breaking: Qatar announces it is “withdrawing” from the war. Is that code for making nice with Iran?
By the time Trump leaves office, the entire middle east may become an Islamic Republic with nuclear weapons.

rajkumar ji,
unless the IRGC agrees, qatar has no option of an unilateral withdrawal from this war.
There is far too much bad blood between eyeraan and qatar for them to quit now and run.
