Uganda’s Chief of Defense Forces (CDF), Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has expressed strong support for Israel amidst the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday.

His remarks, despite being personal, are often interpreted as reflecting state policy due to his influential position and his status as the son of President Yoweri Museveni.

In his posts, Gen. Kainerugaba emphasized, “Israel has a right to exist and attacks against her must stop.” He called for an immediate cessation of the conflict, stating, “We want the war in the Middle East to end now. The world is tired of it.”

He claimed, “We could have captured Tehran in 72 hours without any bombing,” adding, “But of course, they never listen to a black man. Why bomb people who support you?”


Last month, he announced plans to build a statue of Lt.-Col. Yonatan “Yoni” Netanyahu, the brother of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, at Entebbe International Airport.

Yoni Netanyahu was killed during Operation Thunderbolt, a 1976 Israeli rescue mission at Entebbe Airport in which 102 hostages were freed from a hijacked Air France plane.

Kainerugaba described the statue as a symbol of the strong bond between Uganda and Israel.

No formal government announcement has been made regarding the statue, but Kainerugaba highlighted the importance of the tribute, linking it to Israel’s historic support of Uganda during its early post-independence years.

Plans and the work towards that are fine, but when new technology and new ways of warfighting is available to you and you are the pioneer, its time to grab the opportunity order it and not waste time, Today the U.S has got it deployed. We keep waiting and eventually few more years down the line, someone else will offer the same thing that we have developed and the same will get imported. And that company will utilize your own money to build a better version and offer the next variant to you, while you are made to improve on your product. The foreign company offers their improved weapon and it keeps getting imported. Also they capture the market for such a weaponry across the world, while our decision makers sit and twiddle their thumb and make statement instead of getting these things inducted and give the Indian companies a competitive edge in the global market.

As a nation that remembers history, many of Iran regime's actions were hostile towards India. Even today they are holding our tankers from safe passage and only letting one or two at times. Otherwise they will attack. That itself is a hostile act. This time around at least we are aware of what the oil game is and have some cards with the refinery business. We have bigger devils in our midst and far more victims of persecution of that desert cult that frankly makes us numb to this war. We have been bitten by this region despite our obsequiousness in 70s and 80s when we had not seen terror yet. Frankly I would have loved whole of Asia rising up and securing the strait because the Atlantic’s are once again at our doorstep and yet we are divided in our loyalties !

unless the IRGC agrees, qatar has no option of an unilateral withdrawal from this war.

There is far too much bad blood between eyeraan and qatar for them to quit now and run.
