But what exactly is sri Ramdev's incentive to allow Hazare another hijack attempt? The lifafa media, chatteratti, pseudos and cryptos are all anyway against Sri Ramdev. Letting Anna in is a mistake, IMHO.

But he cannot be petty, right. That is the weakness of Bharat. Only a few like Sri Krishna and Chanakya could avoid such people without them realizing it. A test for Sri BR perhaps...

He has to make Anna Hazare follow his agenda and not hijack again.

AH knows better that people started knowing him at the place other than in Maharashtra because RD made him popular by including him in his campaign.

IMHO, what RD could not apprehend was congress's game of proping up AH to dilute his aggressive stance. Pro AH media brought out congi's gameplan in open. Work of RD is very widespread and well accepted all over india and abroad while AH was even not known in North India till he climbed RD's shoulder. Appeal of AH is still limited while RD has done tremendous groundwork. Look at the way the fasting is organized, his ayurvedi hospitals functions, dispensaries and stores are run. Very methodical and meticulously planned awakening of deshi medical system, yoga and value system. compare this to sponsored agitation of AH.

RD till date has maintained a straight forward policy and followed Swami Dayanand Saraswati's teaching - you dont have to remove negatives, just increase the span of positives, be proactive and negatives will be insignificant.

Eventually negatives have to be removed. reason is they become lurking dangers and grow out of sight to devour the positives. Live and let die should be guiding principle.

RD's stance is to take everyone in the flow to create more and more positives and he believes that by doing yoga and living right one will automatically become postive. side by side, he is very sarcastic about 'management' of enemies and diseases. He says diseases and enemies of this nation do not have right to live. thats why he has propsed to punish the wrongdoers especially corrupt people and rapists with death sentnce. Taunts govt : Bharat ke netrutva mein se shaurya aur parakram adrashya ho gaya hai. It is also well known that once he sort of threatened china when he visited tawang and other place of AP - Mansarovar bhi hamara hai, woh bhi hum le ke rahenge. He perhaps knows the art of taking war to enemies' camp.

The Govt is now threatening RD that the venue where his satyagraha is going to take place does not have that license and as such is illegal as such will be dealt in a suitable manner unless an agreement is reached.

This is one chance to move completely against corruption.

The govt is going to take this fight head on and has activated all its agents - Diggi is saying Ramdev is part of RSS conspirajey, celebs joining in saying Baba Ramdev doesn't have their support (as if we could give a hoot about their support anyway).

Its the time for people to rise against corruption. This is a part of our growth phase and needs to be done. If there is enough show of force, I think Madam will have to start making concessions which will result in some bigwigs going into jail on corruption charges - they'll protect them and force a resignation first to see if that is enough to satisfy demands, then Madam will have to get the govt to press charges.

Ultimately people would like to see Anti corruption cells to be strengthened, CVC to have greater teeth and power. Stronger jail terms etc. India is just moving to the next phase.

INC is different kind of politicial party. When ever there is opposition, it will adopt/join the opposition movement in order to stay in power by coopting it. Subsequently the differeence between opposition and themselves will disappear and kill the opposition movement.

It is just a case of conflict of interest and he did not defraud the nation. However, Times Now is hell bent of destroying Maran. DMK to be completely destroyed is the agenda being pursued. I don't know what could be the real gameplan.

There are checks and balances in US and the two party system ensures some balance.

INC is the sole monopoly party in India just as East India Company (EIC) was before the British Crown took over after 1857.

I did not get it then. What exactly did Maran did? As I understand, his brother used name of Maran in getting good share values to a Telecom company. Using that money they expanded into Telecom. Based on their reach they were able to get licences. Shareholeders and they all made money and consumers got cheaper telephones.

Anything else?

Muppalla garu, Dayanidhi Maran was the pathfinder for DMK's Central Govt loot campaign. He showed how to loot using Central office and filled his family coffers adn defy MK's goonda sons. This caused the MK family to decide to get their share from Center.
He needs to pay the price for his misdeeds. When he first came on national sceen in NDA ministry he was the face of new modern India. Turned out it was the same corrupt body of a looter/robber baron.

What he did was parley official permits/licenses for outright transfer of funds (under guise of investment) to his family's company.

guys, any prediction on where ramdev's fast will go? Will it follow anna hazare's way? i.e, call of the fast on some 'assurance' and then do chai-biskoot.....

Rajdeep/Bhupen were trying there level best to dig up dirt on Ramdev, they had likes of Shabnam Hashmi, Digvijay etc as supporting cast. Hashmi kept referring to Ramdev supporters as goons.

June 2: On a day many were bending over backwards to either dissuade yoga guru Baba Ramdev from launching an indefinite fast from Saturday or stand by him, actor Shah Rukh Khan did not mince any words.

“Koi support nahin karunga... unka agenda hai... jaise hi koi neta ho jata hai... voh yeh sab karne lagta hai (I will not support him... he’s got an agenda... as soon as one becomes a leader... one resorts to such agitations),” the actor told reporters in Indore in reply to a question.

His plainspeak came as the UPA government intensified efforts to turn Ramdev around and the BJP declared support for him ( ).

Shah Rukh, who shares a good rapport with the Nehru-Gandhi family but had stayed off the campaign trail during the general elections of 2004 and 2009, explained why he disliked the patronising attitude towards politics and politicians.

“Jo jiska kam ho, usko voh karna chahiye… agar koi neta ban kar karna chahta hai to that is not the right way to raise an issue (One should do what is appropriate for him or her. If someone tries to slip into the shoes of a politician, that is not the right way to do it),” he said.

Tweeters also made their presence felt, though some tweets were less reverential of the yoga guru than those Anna Hazare had evoked when he went on a fast. Among the yoga guru’s corruption-buster demands are withdrawal of currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 and introduction of Hindi as a medium of instruction in medical and technical colleges.

“Imagine, just imagine the millions McDonalds would pay if Baba broke his fast with a McAlooTikki and said ‘I’m loving it’. Jokes apart, anything that shakes this smug govt on corruption may help. You go Baba,” tweeted author Chetan Bhagat.

“I wanna be a private jet flying Baba too. Any followers?” asked a tweet attributed to Abhinav Bindra.


Actor Anupam Kher, a vocal supporter of Hazare, tweeted: “I liked Baba Ramdev’s body language on TV, walking to private jet. He looked focused and determined. Bheegha hua aadmi baarish se nahi darta.”

In Indore to promote his movie Ra.One, Shah Rukh took the opportunity to appeal to youths not to fall prey to corruption. Without mentioning either the 2G or the Commonwealth Games scandals, he said current instances of corruption in public life had saddened him. Shah Rukh’s associate and event manager Karim Morani is currently in jail in connection with the 2G scam.

Asked if he wanted to become a politician, the actor said: “Why do you think I am joining politics, why don’t you imagine a neta joining the film industry?”

However, Shah Rukh soon proved why he can give any politician stiff competition. Asked whether he would again pair up with Salman Khan in a movie, the actor said: “You should ask me whether I will be seen with female actresses like Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor, etc.… Why do you want to fix me with a male actor?”

So who thinks he is just a filmi type!

Baba Ramdev's fast is really shaking up UPA govt. They are pulling all stops to dissuade him. I guess they have analyzed TN results and understood the impact of corruption in the election outcome.
