Well, whatta perfect setting for Messr Dhoni only.

Win or lose he can always spin the result 1 way or another. If win, then we needed the win momentum going into the knockout stage' thing and if lose then 'better playing SL than Oz in QF' type fake-chankian rationale.

Wah re duniya.

The disconnect goes further deeper than just some mistaken sportsmanship. Will get into the realms of psycho-analyzing tams and their deep takleefs that are just hidden from the surface. Sooner than later, some sociological and piskological issues will arise going all the way back to the brit days. Suffice to say that there is something seriously rotten and covered up in layers and layers of random nonsense. But then things are rotten everywhere else too, if not in this direction, elsewhere. So why bother.

Back to regular Kirkit diss&cussing

at Eden garden Zimbabwe have set Kenya a target of 309 runs, Kenya is already 10/2
all these excitement on Holi with empty stand onlee ground staff in attendance

meanwhile at Chennai TI will bat first(yipee) Raina and Aswin in for Saythwak and Nehra
once again Kirkit gurus are proving themselves correct here at BRF.

almost forgot
Kaikokroackmarrey and Gayle find this match unworthy of their presence.

Raina & Ashwin in. No Gayle, No Roach, No Chawla, No Nehra. I'll stop supporting Team India if they lose today.

India wants to play Oz and WI wants to play SL in the next round. It looks to be a mutual understanding.

Exactly what I thought. He was shaking his head and then gave out? WTH!!!
BTW, after all the talk of Chennani cheering other teams, it was nice to see so many people, especially youth, with TI's blue dress there. The cheer was loud as hell after national anthem too, and the silence pindrop after SRT was given out.

I think Chennai is wrongly stereotyped as a "supporter of other teams"; they enjoyed good cricket and supported good cricket. I think there is some amount of self-flagellation going on by some former Chennaites onlee :-) IIRC, Sachin never waited for the Umpire's decision right?

I think Chennai crowd loves their cricket. They will cheer even for SL or Pak players if they do well in the game. It is not anti India but in a positive way. It is much better to be this way than be like Dalladeshis and throw stones at the opposition because their team is crap.

Does GG play like this all the time? The moment, Sachin returns, he likes to follow soon enough :-) Happened last match too. Hopefully, in the QF India ensures there are no quick wickets. There should be a written policy "All batting partnerships have to last at least 40 runs. The only exceptions are the last two wickets."

Like it a not, it seems to me that Yuvraj needs to stay till the 45th at least. Its not easy to hit, even Kohli felt the need to go cross batted for a crass shot. Looked as ugly and out of place as a suited booted executive getting into an abusive brawl on the street.

It matters only so much, getting the gallery to cheer for you. Appreciating good cricket is totally different from booing the national team or becoming anti-home. Good performance from players will always sway the crowd towards them.

ps: hitcric.info is now streaming DD telecast, man it is funny - their commentary style. Hmm....more Hindi commercials than the TFTA channels.

Dhoni's ugly, flat footed and slow batting is seriously becoming a roadblock anytime we need to accelerate in the end overs.

just got stumped attempting a ugly lift, after scratching around for 30 balls.

Dhoni does not merit a place in our ODI side on the strength of his batting.
