Folks - does anyone know if NaMo has spoken about the AugustaWestland chopper scam? Has he attacked the Dynasty directly in this business? Would be glad if people here have links to his attacking the Dynasty directly on corruption.

There has been a long chain, silence on supression of 2011 census numbers, Sb4D , "only debate on art-370, no abolition of art-370", "will keep art-370 if art-370 promotes growth", no UCC and now "sorry for BM-collapse of 1992 and sorry for 2002 riots". Lets see how far Taquia goes and when Taquia becomes reality.

BJP-leaders are numbing Hinduvaadies and mentally preparing them to accept ABV2. The Hinduvaadies will not be given chance to even cry foul , because they will be told "see we told you so long back".
RajeshA wrote:Rahul Mehta ji,

all this "bowing of BJP to secularism" has zero meaning. The only proof is in eating the pudding. When NaMo comes in sufficient strength, and secular nautanki still remains in vogue after some time, then we would know! Until then better to take all this as Hindu Taqiyya and keep one's focus!
What is sufficient strength? 200 ? 275? 360? And what about Rajya Sabha? And what plan-B do you propose? Or we should talk about plan-B only in 2020?
fanne wrote:there is no Psuedo-Hindutvadis. There is only secular (or pseudo secular). All these guys pretending here and and shouting Modi this or that, they don't intend to vote for him or will ever vote for him. They pretend saffron when they are thoroughly green!! Why waste time!!
Since you are obliquely referring to me, and I an NOT complaining, let me say --- from day one I have said that I will order my MP via SMS to make NaMo PM, and I request all to do so, and not vote for him. IMO one should vote for those who worked hard for TRUE legal reforms or vote NoTA. I have always asked people NOT to vote for UPA, AAP under any circumstances.

And to all,

I am NOT complaining at what RNS said or what any BJP-leaders say. I have no right to complaint as I never supported BJP. After all, a non-supporter has no business in giving advices or complaining. I just want to point out chain of events and request you conclude from that chain of events. Conclusions will be all yours.

But off course RajeshA ji, does not the son of Maha-brahma play Taquiyya with friends, enemies and everybody else.

My point was only an aside to the main point of politics while completely from within the system I follow.

Right now Kirit Somaya is speaking on India News and all the assorted secularists, mullahs etc have, absolutely on que charged on Modi while Kirit is again and again highlighting the secular nature of Modi's larger body of works. Everybody is jockeying for the pole position and a stammerer like Kirit is getting the point across very clearly. Despite Motormouth Chaurasiya. I think they are also playing their politics exceedingly accurately.

Remember the point Modi et al are taking pains to point out to muslims - You will be shown the fear of Modi but see the track record of secular performance of NaMo. This is all a step in that direction. A very nuanced position which the fence sitters will think over for sure.

ChandTurakhia, Dont mind lekin you are advocating a separation for Saurastra region. It hink Art 3 has to be strenghtened or done away with to prevent Congress divide to rule policy in the future.

Rahul Mehta BJP needs to show it wont be antagonistic to the Congress "vested" interests if it comes to power or else the march will be killed before it starts.

So expect more to sow confusion in Congress supporters. Need to give them a chance to abandon the sinking ship.

w.r.t saurashtra, it is culturally, linguistically and politically too similar to the rest of the Guj to be divided. It was poorer than some of the regions of the north/south gujarat. but that is changing. there was a clamour for separate statehood once...but the is non existent now.. I originate from saurashtra. But spent most of my life in Ahmedabad .I don't believe there are any compelling reasons for carving a separate state. barring certain fringe element ,no one else wants it.. Con party might attempt supporting the fringe elements for obvious reasons...But personally ,I find the idea of dividing Guj,beyond preposterous .

One might argue about subtle linguistic and cultural differences. But that is where it ends... The gujarati spoken in saurashtra has a distinct accent, diction and even some subtle syntactical difference..But it is nevertheless Gujarati . I don't believe people in any region have difficulties in understanding gujarati spoken by a guy from saurashtra.

and there are some very minor differences in food. saurashtra people use bajra more often ...But it has gotten extremely popular in the rest of the state...

Most people don't take saurastra/gujarat into account while forming matrimonial alliances even if they adhere to the caste system. (which is getting increasingly obsolete however).. a kadva patel from anand will ususally have no problem to one from rajkot...

I don't see any reason for dividing guj..

w.r.t rajkot, it is rapidly developing city...lot of manufacturing and export driven industries...auto parts including electronics, vegetable oil etc... there are extremely wealthy businessmen who have only gotten richer...some of them are con party supporters due to familial ties with it.. but many would swing due to radadia going to bjp...

My son loves everyone: Modi's mother

"My son is not against anybody. For him Desh Prem [love of the nation] is more important than anything else in life," says Hiraben, mother of the caretaker Chief Minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi.

When you tell her that Muslims dislike her son, she says, "Ask the Muslims of Vadnagar. They will never say anything against my son. He is not against Muslims. He always used to tell me that if there is one person who is ready to die for the country, it is him."

On entering Vadnagar in Mehsana district, there is a huge poster of Modi next to those of the burning Sabarmati Express and Akshardham temple. Everyone here knows where Hiraben lives. The roads are narrow, but made of concrete. Cows and buffaloes greet you on the road to Modi's house near Modi gully.

One has to walk down the gully, as cars cannot enter. The resident are proud of the fact that a boy, who once used to run around in front of them, has become the chief minister and is the most popular leader in the state.

However, Modi is one of those rare politicians who has not done anything for his family and the locality where he grew up.

He has visited his family only five times ever since he left home in his teens to join the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He never attended marriages and other social functions in his family, but came when his father died. And apart from a telephone call every Diwali, Modi does not have any contact with his mother.

Hiraben's husband, Damodarbhai, was a small-time businessman and they had five sons and one daughter -- Soma, Narendra, Amrith, Prahlad, Pankaj and Vasanti [daughter].

Hiraben lives with the youngest son, Pankaj, who works in the information department of the state government in Gandhinagar.

In spite of the fact that his brother is the chief minister, Pankaj takes a local bus to office. On an average he spends four hours travelling everyday, as the family does not even own a scooter.

Hiraben says she doesn't resent the fact that her son never helps her financially. "My son is a man of principle. He will only help if people at large are benefited. Our whole family believes in simple living. In fact, we always taught Narendra to live honesty. So why should I feel bad if he does not help us financially," she says.

Hiraben is in her late eighties and cannot walk without the help a cane. She wears thick spectacles and dresses up in a simple white sari. Though her elder sons are settled in Ahmedabad, she says she will not move away from Vadnagar. "I love my motherland very much and I cannot move to Ahmedabad because I don't like that place so much."

Reminiscing, Hiraben says, "Once he [Modi] found a one-rupee coin on the road... I told him to spend it on himself. But instead he gave that coin to a poor man's daughter in our village, who needed money to buy books and pencils.

"I remember once he got home a baby crocodile, which was in bad condition. He wanted to nurse it, but we asked him to release it in the river. He agreed, but reluctantly. I know he loves everyone."

Hiraben says her son does all his work, including washing and ironing his clothes. "And yes, no matter what the temperature is, he always takes bath in cold water," she adds.

Ask her which party she will vote for, Hiraben says, "Of course BJP! I always used to vote for the Jan Sangh [the BJP's parent party]. If you have parents then you cannot change them. In the same ways, if you have one party you must vote for that party only."

Like all mothers, Hiraben misses her son very much. "After all I am his mother. But luckily, now I see him on television everyday and give him blessings. I feel very proud of him."

Kalpasar is a 15-20 year project., cannot be done in 5 years. There’s no full stop in politics, patience is the biggest strength: Narendra Modi at GPP merger function

Image

-This Gordhanlal has enjoyed ride on my scooter for number of times. He was in Vishwa Hindu Parishad those days. And I remember my scooter’s number was 5820.

-The Lok Sabha elections are near. I have been active doing organizational activities across the nation. Perhaps there are very few politicians who have taken night-halt at more than 400 districts in the country. I have been fortunate to have night-halt at more than 400 districts. On the basis of this wide experience, I am able to say, the elections this time are amazing! It is incomparable with any other election in past.

-Imagine, a weak and very ill person who is limited to bed for last one month, who can’t walk without someone’s help. But if some tragedy strikes, he would get up and run to save his life. This election(2014 Lok Sabha general elections) is like that. Just calculating(typically) that earlier you(BJP) had 2 seats, and then you had 89 and then 116 etc will not work this time.(The situation at present is) the nation is sinking and people are running. This election is not about arithmetic, it is about chemistry. It’s a novel combination this time.

To underline what Gakkad'ji said, general idiots guide in terms of prosperity in Gujarat:

Gujarat > Saurashtra > Kutch

Gujarat Cities: Surat (satellites: Ankleshwar/Bharuch)., Vadodra (satellites: Anand), Ahmedabad (satellites: Gandhinagar, Nadiad...)
Saurashtra: Bhavnagar, Rajkot (satellites: Junagadh, Porbandar,
Kutch: Bhuj

Note the number of urban clusters and the size of the urban clusters to

Also note that Valsad is in S. Gujarat which is a tribal area (due to geographical vicissitudes) ., and Surat is the northern tip of the S. Guj (Some consider it as part of S. Guj., but it is better to place it as Southern part of N. Gujarat)., and Ahmedabad is the northern tip of Gujarat.

BTW, Kutch is the largest district in India. To give a perspective, Kutch District is larger than

Haryana/Switzerland
Kerala/Southern Netherlands

....
....
Delhi/Mauritius

In fact Kutch District is as big as Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura states combined!

And when people say "Gujarat was always rich" they are blowing wind from their musharrafs., one third of Gujarat (Kutch) is barren (desert/salt-marsh) and another one-third of Gujarat is arid (Saurashtra).
...But personally ,I find the idea of dividing Guj,beyond preposterous .

One might argue about subtle linguistic and cultural differences. But that is where it ends... The gujarati spoken in saurashtra has a distinct accent, diction and even some subtle syntactical difference..But it is nevertheless Gujarati . I don't see any reason for dividing guj..
All the highlighted can also be applied to Telangana/Andhra "divide". The only difference is that AP voted in CONgIs and Gujarat voted in BJP. One does "todenge" and other does "jodenge" - no marks for figuring out who does what!

Gujjus *will have to be really stupid* to now vote in CONgIs and talk about breaking Saurashtra and Kutch. They are interdependent and any step in that direction will set their state backward.

I am bumping BJP's Gujarat share of seats to 24/26. It will be surprising if it gets any lesser than that! Do not get surprised if it is 26/26!!

This is a master stroke by BJP which completely pulls the rug from under the secular brigade. Modi himself has said many times that if he is guilty, forget his apology, he should be jailed and punished fully as per the law of the land.

BJP to Muslims: Try us once; we're ready to apologise for 'mistake'

February 25, 2014

Reaching out to Muslims ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party asked the community to give it a chance and not go by the "propaganda" spread by Congress while promising to stand for equality and apologise for any "mistake" or shortcoming in the past. "Please note that whenever, wherever if there has been any mistake and shortcoming on our part, I assure you that we will apologise to you by bowing our heads," said BJP chief Rajnath Singh while addressing a gathering of Muslims in New Delhi on Tuesday.
Sir! Rahul Mehta This in my opinion is to get the Dharmic Fence sitters on the side of the Dharma., forget about the non-dharmics.

This is not high priority in the grand sceheme of things, but eventually I would like all our cities to get back their original Indic names. "Allahabad"????

I have to agree. This is not just a "what's in a name" thingie, it runs deeper. This should also apply to the British-era names of various "hill stations" of north and south India, and places like Port Blair (A&N). This is OT though.

I disagree. 500 years is nothing for our civilization. The temple that my family runs in my gaanv itself is 600 years old with records intact.
The Hindu resurgence should be complete. This cannot happen until we rid ourselves of symbols of slavery.

Why is the Taj Mahal the symbol of India? The Taj is a symbol of Hindu slavery. And we are shameless and stupid to have perpetuated this.
I hope Modi and his team address this, but I recognize that this is not a Release 1 enhancement, but should be on the long term roadmap.

Ghazi + Abaad = Ghaziabad. Meaning the town where Ghazis of the faith live. Ghazis are of course those who slay infidels. Prayag was renamed Allah + Abad. A place where Allah lives. There is even an Aurangzeb Road in Delhi, a man against whom Shivaji fought his whole life. This is the first thing that any Indic prime minister after Independence should have done -- changed the place names insulting to Hindus that are left overs of Islamic colonialism. But then, Gandhi selected Nehru for PM and the rest is history. This does call into question Gandhi's intelligence levels.

aurangabad in MH.

I am yet to read of any +ve news about aurangzebs rule. atleast the other mughals have some redeeming features of their rule to use as a crutch. about the taj mahal, unless it was built by demolishing a older place of worship I am ok with it as a Cheen style infra "pump priming" spending that kept 50,000 people employed for 20 years building something that was marginally useful then but earns us tourist money now. its effects were felt out to the marble quarries in makrana. 1000s of skilled workers got stable employment . it was the infosys of that era :)

People call Ahmedabad as Amdavad so it doesn't seem like a Musalmaan name. Renaming Hindu religious towns to some Islamic name and building a mosque by demolishing temples instead of building it 100 yards away are age old Islamic techniques of insulting other faiths. Babri Masjid is an example, and also Mathura.

We have an Aurangzeb Road right in Dilli. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurangzeb_Road
The man was a downright terrorist.
When we are at it, I suggest renaming Dilli to Indraprastha :)

At the minimum, we need to revert names of cities which had original Indic religious names like Prayag. Ghaziabad and Allahabad are downright insulting to the native people.

Here is Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi. Suitably defiled by some invader. A big HAAACK THOOOO to all of us napumsaks.

Any free PDF link to Moditva book?

I have this superstition that if a person is writing with goal to improve India, then he will ALWAYS put an officially free pdf copy of his book on net, and make one paperback available at very low price. I dont mind him selling glossy copy for huge price, but for poor, he would always make one free pdf and one cheap print version available.

So any free PDF link to Moditva book? If doesnt look nice. Even Swaraj book by AK-420 though worthless has a free PDF copy on net. Least NaMo can do is put a free PDF on net.

====

Ahmedabad should be renamed to Karnavati. BJP has dropped that issue since it came in power for 13 days. In those 13 days, ABV could have cleared renaming application that was sent by Gujarat Govt. It requires only cabinet nod, and doesnt need Parliament's approval. ABV could clear Sukhoi deal, Enron deal etc but didnt find time to rename Ahmedabad to Karnavati. I propose to do renaming using TRUE mass-movement (TRUE mass movement, not the fraud mass-movement like movement that was started by Anna)

Saar, not just the IM crowd but also Hindu liberals. They are particularly strident in their defence of Aurangzeb and Tipu.
Why did Aurangzeb Demolish the Kashi Vishvanath? - Koenraad Elst
Arun Shourie has confronted this claim with the information given in the official court chronicle, Maasiri Alamgiri. Entry for 2 September 1669 tells us: "News came to court that in accordance with the Emperor's command his officers had demolished the temple of Vishvanath at Banaras" .

...Therefore, a more promising way of defusing the conflict potential which the mosque at the Kashi Vishvanath site carries, is to justify the replacement of the temple with a mosque.

...What follows is the theory launched by B.N. Pande, working chairman of the Gandhi Darshan Samiti and former Governor of Orissa:......A thorough search was made of the temple precincts but the Rani was to be found nowhere. When Aurangzeb came to know of it, he was very much enraged. He sent his senior officers to search for the Rani. Ultimately, they found that the statue of Ganesh which was fixed in the wall was a moveable one. When the statue was moved, they saw a flight of stairs that led to the basement. To their horror, they found the missing Rani dishonoured and crying, deprived of all her ornaments. The basement was just beneath Lord Jagannath's seat. The Rajas expressed their vociferous protests. As the crime was heinous, the Rajas demanded exemplary action. Aurangzeb ordered that as the sacred precincts have been despoiled, Lord Vishvanath may be moved to some other place, the temple be razed to the ground and the Mahant be arrested and punished."

Akbar created his own religion called 'Dinay-ilahi' -- probably due to that.
Gaziabad is not Gazi-abad but Gaziuddinnagr by some local person who gave his name to the area. Not sure when it became current name.

Aurangzeb - yes, that is an issue but do you want to spend energy on that?

India election: Is there a surge of support for Narendra Modi?

Following the BJP's triumph in state elections in December, there were signs something was afoot.

Now, with the recent release of three pre-election surveys, the evidence of "a wave" is incontrovertible

When Modi gets complete majority in Parliament around 2019 (both LS and RS), he should reamend 73rd amendment and replace Christian word "Secular" with Indian word "Samaana Dharma."
Thanks kmkraoind and Altair saars. Is simple majority not enough to relieve temples from the clutches of this anti hindu government? Is 2/3rd majority needed?

Rahul Mehta wrote:Any free PDF link to Moditva book?

I have this superstition that if a person is writing with goal to improve India, then he will ALWAYS put an officially free pdf copy of his book on net, and make one paperback available at very low price. I dont mind him selling glossy copy for huge price, but for poor, he would always make one free pdf and one cheap print version available.

So any free PDF link to Moditva book? If doesnt look nice. Even Swaraj book by AK-420 though worthless has a free PDF copy on net. Least NaMo can do is put a free PDF on net.
Did Buddha preach his ideas for a price? Did Mahavira sell his ideas for money? Did Shankra extract a monetary compensation for uniting people and spreading his ideologies? Did Kautilaya, Yajnavalkya, Valmiki, hundreds of rishi/athors of Puranas and Itihasas make money of their work? Well times have changed. Is Rajiv Malhotra right in making money writing and self promoting himself, as he is writing about breaking India? Rajiv is putting his own money in his 'business' or 'passion'.

Is it wrong to make money, feed the ego, earn name and fame as one is working for a cause/country? Well it is rather interesting topic - capitalism, altruism, welfare, patriotism....or whatever?

With the changing times, are the people still caught up in free loading? Wanting everything free? Have we as a society not willing to pray the price for some one's hard work? Have humans always roamed the earth with a sense of entitlement?

Having raised questions, here is the free book you wanted: http://www.india272.com/2014/02/25/modi ... ath-singh/ It is on ScribD, you can get it printed or download.
