PM should have told pappu point blank that instigating violence, terrorism and secessionism on the basis of religion cannot be construed as free speech. It is time to drop that fig leaf. He should be told that just as they would not tolerate a right wing neo Nazi organization, they should not allow bigoted & violent Khalistanis.

That "oh we are superior Canadians" and "we love our free speech rights" excuse should be shattered.

Modi ji must have said all that and more. The press communiqué is not a verbatim of their conversation. At the presser, Turdeau appeared shaken, his answer to the question starts with a strong NO and then goes on to say the opposite. It looks like he got way more wedgies than he came prepared for. :rotfl:

Diid anyone notice the ubiquitous presence of Doval ji sitting quietly but very visibly just behind Modi ji in many meetings?

Cyrano ji,

the canadians wanted a bilateral meeting with Modi.

they were refused and it was conveyed to them that the best option available was a pull-aside meeting with Modi

However, the French President Emmanuel Macron got a working lunch meeting with Modi, who, BTW, would later go on to have bilateral meetings with Comoros, Turkey, UAE, South Korea, EU/EC, Brazil, and Nigeria.

canpappu was slammed publicly and to add insult to injury, canpappu was unable to depart from India after his aircraft suffered a technical snag, and now the aircraft will take off in the morning on Monday.

Interestingly, butt hurt canpappu, probably in a fit of pique, skipped the G20 dinner hosted by the President of India ... err.... Bharat and apparently, no one even noticed.

Looks like Trudeau's plane is still stuck in Delhi but has its transponder on. He should have hopped on the Air Canada flight back to Toronto or Montreal and departed last night itself. I am sure the airline would have happily obliged. As per records, the official RCAF plane is an Airbus A310. Air India used to be a big operator of this type but even AI retired it more than a decade ago. Granted VIP aircraft are not used as hard, and get better treatment, but the A310 is old.

yensoy ji,

wasn't the airbus 310 something that the wright brothers used after Kitty Hawk....

and now, it looks like the wrong brother is unable to get it off the ground

or did the frenchie quebecois separatists sabotage it

perhaps, some more canadian judges are required to investigate the part India has played in the grounding of this museum relic that canpappu chooses to fly in as his aerial abode, while shuttling to world gatherings and getting abused at every opportunity he gives to his hosts

Why can't he fly cargo, surely fedex would oblige him, if the canucks asked nicely
Reportedly, Trudeau is still stuck in India

Genuine question:

Why can't he just get an economy class ticket on some airline and go home?

are they are stalling to work out a strategy to save face back home after his G20 debacle, and do the canucks back home even want him back.....

The media in kaneda

The countdown begins now on how long it takes for the Trudeau government, Liberal insiders, and the woke establishment to vilify the world’s largest democracy.

Putting partisanship aside, no one likes to see a Canadian prime minister repeatedly humiliated & trampled upon by the rest of the world.

all pappus eventually end up like this onlee

Trudeau pulled his hand away from Modi in an awkward moment, then he skipped the leaders dinner, faced several questions on his strained relationship with India and now….

His plane is stuck there. He’ll never go back again. https://t.co/kh4tO54oBi

Trudeau’s departure from India delayed further, aircraft sent to fetch him gets diverted
CBS News is reporting that the Royal Canadian Air Force’s CC-150 Polaris that was sent to Delhi to fetch Trudeau and his delegation has been diverted from London, even though it was supposed to arrive via Rome. Due to this unscheduled diversion, Trudeau’s departure will be further delayed.

Ashokk ji,

canpappu is $h!t out of luck.

Even the gods are unhappy and displeased

CC-150 Polaris is a repurposed military version of the Airbus A310-300

the canucks have 5 of them.

must have taken time to get ready probably because they had to swap out parts from other CC-150 Polaris aircraft(s)

Did this cause the diversion of the CC-150 Polaris

Else we can have a special room booked for Turdeau in Tihar as VVIP under-trial. Cant think of a better way accelerating the reforms in Indian judicial system for under-trials who sometimes languish for decades. President Murmu's wish may come true through foreign interference sacrifice after all.

Canada refuses visas to armed forces who served in J&K: Ambassador Vivek Katju reveals one of the issues causing India-Canada relations to nosedive
Vivek Katju, a retired Indian diplomat who served as ambassador in Afghanistan and Myanmar, revealed a startling detail while discussing the underlying causes of the simmering tensions. He unveiled that Canada not only rejects the visas of Indian security personnel who were posted in Jammu and Kashmir but also asks for the location of their service in their visa applications.

He stated, “Canada regularly denies visas to members of our security forces who have served in Jammu and Kashmir. Canada has also denied visas to members of our services, about which we do not talk about and I don’t wish to talk about, including very senior people who have served in these services. Canada while asking for visa applications demands that these security personnel should inform the Canadians of the places where they have served. That is very often confidential.”
Journalist Gaurav C Sawant elaborated on the issue and disclosed, “They actually ask for every detail. There’s a separate column in the visa for retired officers whether you are with CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force), BSF, Indian Army, Navy or Air Force.”

He added, “If you have served in Jammu and Kashmir you are supposed to mention the year that you served in Jammu and Kashmir, the area you have served in Jammu and Kashmir and the duty, whether you were a brigade commander or a division commander in Kulgam, in Wussan, in Kangan. All of that you are supposed to mention and India has objected to it.” However, he wasn’t aware if things continued to remain the same or not.

India must reciprocate by asking Canadian visa applicants to disclose if they ever served in RCMP or any Canadian Intelligence agency, and if they were ever involved in their failed/botched-up investigation of Air India Kanishka. Or if they were part of Canadian Army that served in Iraq and/or Afghanistan etc. It is disgusting that GoI allowed an insignificant Canada to probe India visa applicants if they were part of BSF and where they served etc.
