Vbeid made out of tanks is a non trivial opposition. If rebels were using artillery, mbrl, tanks, technicals, tank Vbeid, then some fall back could have been warranted. War is not a Hollywood movie. I really really really wonder what lessons Indian Military is drawing from this conflict or they are just busy importing golden plated items.

Sdf is now 13km from al bab and conrinues to creep along while fending off Turkish proxies on left flank.
It seems syrians or russians have cleared the skies of turkish ac sent to support their proxies..perhaps multiple lock ons from airborne or s400 grave stone radars

Jihadis start normally with a feint but intense attack to draw attention and make saa commit reserve..then main blow lands elsewhere
Hope all sectors are being carefully watched including the narrow belt that links aleppo to khanasser..it has already been hit twice by rebels

Whose Rebels Will Fight for Raqqa Deepens U.S.-Turkey Divisions
Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he told U.S. President Barack Obama in a phone call Wednesday that his country could rid Raqqa of Islamic State all by itself. Obama underscored to Erdogan the need for efforts against Islamic State to be “effectively integrated with the operations of other members of the coalition,” according to White House press secretary Josh Earnest.

as Habal sir once said, jails all across like-minded nations in sunni crescent have been emptied to find motivated foot soldiers to beef up the ranks...

I figure the main jihadi attack is still being masked and will.hit either north aleppo where desert hawks r kept or ramouseh arty base where part of tiger force is kept
One can expect a serial vbied attack each going through the damage of the preceding and attemping a deep telescoping spear into the heart of the rafidhis and kuffars.

Behind the vbieds will be the legions of monkeys yelling aoa aiming to swarm the shattered defence lines
Then the elites who will seek to exploit the opened gaps and strike rear areas
Finally the Brutes to control the downcast population, collect rent, execute those who resist

#BREAKING - Over 20 #ISIS suicide bombs have now been blown up during the operation to liberate #Tal_Afar from ISIS west of #Mosul
Amnesty International has confirmed “credible reports” that white phosphorus munitions have been used in the battle to recapture Mosul from Daesh militants, placing civilian lives at extreme risk of injury or death.
looking at these boys they don't look like hardcore militia type with beard flowing and absent moustache: rather unemployed street urchins who have nothing better to do and this gives easy source of money.

With immensely fierce clashes ongoing between the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and jihadist rebels in western Aleppo, the SAA was simultaneously able to capture 6 villages largely abandoned by ISIS in a rural region directly north of Aleppo city.
On Saturday evening, the SAA imposed full control over the villages of Fafin, Tall Sha'ir, Mahatah, Tall Susin, Kafr Qaris, and the town of Babinnis. Furthermore, Syrian government forces also captured the Muslamiyah Cement Factory and Aleppo Infantry College.
The attack was supported by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) who attacked ISIS' northern flank, causing Islamic State militants to retreat from the area entirely.
These captured areas were considered impregnable for years but had been greatly reduced of Islamic State manpower in recent days, presumably as ISIS commanders redeployed their forces to defend Al-Bab.
In total, the SAA secured 14 square kilometers of territory in the matter of hours.
The massive advance happened shortly after the SAA's Desert Hawks Brigade poured into Aleppo city after being deployed near Kuweiris Airbase for several days.
The advances were confirmed in a statement released by the Syrian Ministry of Defense.
Meanwhile, a delegation of SDF commanders met with high-ranking SAA officials at Kafr Saghir in order to discuss the upcoming border between the two parties, exchange information regarding ISIS movements in the province and discuss the situation in the isolated Kurdish-held Aleppo district of Sheikh Maqsoud.
The US-backed SDF and Russian-backed SAA are still on relatively good terms and have avoided clashing with one another, primarily due to both fighting common enemies, namely ISIS and Turkish-backed rebels

More like SAA moving their AD system along areas where Turkish aircraft was active.
More dramatic has been almost zero Israel flight against SAA , prior to Rus coming there Israel AF would jst routinely bomb SAA critical asset to support IS in guise of operation against Hezbollah, suddenly they don't find SAA supporting hizb post Rus deoloyment
What a sad thing just because SAA was weak every one in the region used their airforce to bomb SAA who were fighting the terrorist , suddenly when a strong power support SAA every one falls in line
