Crackers were never part of original Diwali celebrations, it was lights of diyas. So linking anyone asking for them to be controlled as anti-religion is not right.

Right. And before Lord Ram, there was no Diwali. So we can't say Diwali is intrinsic to Hindu culture.

Pakis blaming Diwali in India for pollution in Lahore. Presstitutes in India take money to do propaganda against Indian festivals, which is then promptly picked up by other countries to smear Indian culture and society. Times of India is the main culprit in anti-Diwali propaganda.

isubodh ji,

but when people get selective in their criticism than a firm boot to the butt is more than deserved

why do such people only find their voices during specific festivals, while remaining as quiet as church mouses during other festivals

not a word about the parali burning (among other things... ) from this sanctimonious environmental mahatma

News about Parali burning is deliberately being suppressed in media to lay full blame of pollution on Diwali. There seems to be a full campaign going on funded by church money

Not true, isubodh ji.

There is ample evidence to the contrary

The word is “controlled” not “banned” . I dont like crackers going on at ungodly hours and i dont like azaan either on loudspeakers. And G20 Kant has suddenly started polishing his environment credentials. In X people have started taking PETA to task on Id as well..
