It is worth reposting these links below, which appeared some time ago in the Indo-US thread. They give some idea of the preparations being made for "people's secular pluralistic democratic resistance" to a Modi administration:

India will be normalized with this election.

The social engineering with Congress over 50 years and vote bank politics will be changed forever since new bonds of social cooperation for nation building will form. That was missing in the Indian social mobility

The 50 years of media dork and social apathy had created vacuum which now will change.

any new regime cannot afford to pussyfoot around trying to accomodate anyone and striking a conciliatory posture.

they must absolutely leave the gate like a racehorse, accomodate nobody, appease nobody and come down hard with a shoulder length oiled bihar/up/haryana style lathi on various actors in a very broad spectrum to send a cold and clear message into the ranks of the massed orcs.

without political interference/cover to the miscreants the police will gladly do their job and bring these elements to heel very rapidly indeed.

just focus on law and order for 3 months and break the back of the mafia and their various slimy allies in every nook and corner.

If Modi gets elected he will have his task cut out. He went into polls promising growth and development and he has to deliver something substantial in 5 years. People shpould be jolted out of their sleep due to the improvement he brings to the scene. Otherwise the door will be opne for UPA to crawl back in one for or other.

NaMo has indeed said that he proposes to do some things for immediate visibility; low hanging fruit, so to speak. I don't think people expect drastic improvements overnight. But I do believe he has plans for the first 3-months & 6-months - show some big and reasonable wins.

The challenge he faces is the finance situation. Over $16BB has been moved to next year by PC in his sham Vote on Account budget.

P.S; And if some of the paid-MSM are to be believed, Pappu's plans are to redo the CONgress from scratch and build something different for 2019. But with the razor-sharp intelligence that he is attributed with, we will only have to wait and see what this new, improved CONgress turns out to be.

If Pappu sincerely wants to rebuild Congress, he and his family members should say bye bye to politics and move to another country. So long as the Gandhi family is at the head, sycophancy will prevail.

Vadodara: Gujarat Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi filed his nomination from Vadodara for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections amidst a huge show of strength on Wednesday. Hundreds surrounded Modi's cavalcade as he headed to the electoral office to file his nomination papers.

Soon after filing his nomination, Modi said that he is confident of winning the seat. "I'm confident that all voters in Vadodara will vote overwhelmingly for the lotus on election day," Modi said.

"I was born in the Gaikwad state and studied in school funded by them, Vadodara has been my karmbhoomi (place of work)" he added.
Kiran Mahida, A tea vendor and a member of the city's royal family, signed Modi's papers as his supporter. Gujarat Cabinet Minister Anandiben Patel among other state leaders also accompanied Modi during his roadshow that headed towards the electoral office.

Never trust these MSM reps. For all you know, they are harping about hindu consolidation, only to drive fear into all the seculars, band them together and get them to vote tactically - against NaMo.

The booth by booth, seat by seat work by BJP is critical. And with Mr. Shah at the helm, I believe he has got this covered.

There is no international outrage as such. There is only outrage from Goras whose native language is English. Is there any outrage in Russia, Japan, China, Vietnam, Africa, South America, Korea?

An important point. Only those western countries that stand to lose assets in India the most (that is, the US, UK, Netherlands and Scandinavians and also probably the Italians and the French) will bleat. For everyone else, they have no dog in the fight.

>> breed Indian children who dream American dreams

for this to happen, desi chaebols like tatas, birlas, l&t and many 50 more have to scale up with a rapid economy and become giants with many subsidiaries abroad. be strong in production and r&d. be brand names like 3M, BASF, dupont, MAN, MTU, komatsu, mitsubishi that everyone respects. china has developed names like lenovo, zoomlion, zte, huawei and many more that are global now. some of their local cos like baidu & china telecom are giant in scale. they operate 1000 a/c commercially on internal market.

of one thing I am sure - holding up infy/wipro as role models is not going to do unless these themselves make 80% of their money from local market.

Amul didi is going to come after 2014 with her land grabbing husband unless V'Raje takes some action in desert lands grabbed by him. One rumor is that he has advised Pappu to face Arnab and get fried. Mafia people were all ways favoring Amul didi as they feel that she is reincarnation of original Amma of mafia con. Gora skin is also added advantage.

I am not sure now that NM will destroy mafia any time soon. He could not do anything like that. But if he ensures that he is PM for 20 years then mafia will die on its own. Already leftist traitors joining with PAAP. Court "intellectuals" will continue to make horrible noises which will be by and large ignored by General public and voters.

NM is facing a risk of raising too many expectations and needs to work day and night to deliver. One thing he may have to do is stop visiting any other country for first 5 years. He simply do not have time for visiting rubbish nations like Portugal etc. Multilateral meetings ok and shall not visit US and not attend UN. UN and US will not benefit us in any manner - Not under Obomber or Hillary if she enters white house.

10 to 12% growth will bring lot of goras begging to us. That and national security taken care will give one more win in 2019 will ensure nation is on the right path.

Maybe a bit early ... but still posting it here.

Arun Shourie talks about the tasks for the new government, the Gujarat CM’s style of working, the “understanding” that Modi could reach with the RSS and the fall in stature of the PMO.

This is the written transcript of last sunday's Walk The Talk TV show with Shekhar Gupta.

Unbelievable details from Arun Shourie'ji on some of the most stupid instances of governance being currently practiced.
.
.
I heard a former general say the other day that there’s a nuclear plant coming up in Haryana. ‘A canal’s water will be used to cool it and then the water will irrigate the fields, it will carry radiation’. This is almost like Mani Ram Bagri in the ‘60s saying, ‘Bhakra Nangal mein paani mein se bijli nikali, ab gehoon kya paida hoga (Electricity has been taken out of Bhakra Nangal waters, what wheat can it irrigate now)?’. These things go unquestioned now.

Indira Gandhi said in 1983 in Parliament that one of the great breakthroughs for India’s atomic programme was the uranium finds in Andhra Pradesh. We have not been able to take one teaspoon out of it.
.
.
.
You know better than anybody else what the condition of civil-military relations is, what A K Antony’s modesty has cost the country.

I call Antony the Bapu Nadkarni of politics. Bapu Nadkarni was a cricketer who holds a world record that will never be broken — 22 consecutive maiden overs. His figures were, I think, 24 overs, 23 maidens, one run and no wicket. He would not let anyone make runs, nor get them out. When batting, he wouldn’t get out, nor score runs.
But there is another feature which our common friend Ajai Shukla told me about… I hope I remember the figure correctly, 88 per cent is revenue expenditure of the Army’s budget. Only 12 per cent is for new acquisitions and weapons and capital improvement. So is this the way to defend the country?
.
.
.
The head of SEBI, he gave me a figure. Do you know how many regulators there are for the economy? Thirty-six. In the financial sector alone, there are nine. In one single sector, education, there are 13 regulators.

That’s why we have such wonderful higher education.
With these 13 regulators, the good colleges are not being allowed to function, and you have a situation in which Rayalaseema University alone in two years gave 2,600 PhDs. Secondly, 23 universities in Andhra Pradesh admitted in five years 38,000 PhD candidates and gave PhDs to half of them.
.
I think it was Agra University or one of these old universities in UP which gave a PhD on ‘Hindi Sahitya mein lote ka mahatva’.
.
.
The fact that all hope has come to rest on Modi is a great responsibility for him… Naturally, he would require, as you said, a lot of talent. As he has mobilised for the elections, he will have to mobilise for the government.
.
.
So Modi needs talent.
Talent, and also he needs the perseverance he has shown. Not GoMs and so on. What his style is, he makes everyone who is concerned sit together. Let’s say coal has to be solved, everybody concerned must sit on the table, discuss it thoroughly for eight hours. Decisions are taken there and then. Coal secretaries are asked what they need, finance what they need, commerce… it is done there and then. Now report back (in) the next meeting, one month from now.

Times of India ‏@timesofindia 6m

Minhaz Merchant's blog: The West and Modi http://blogs.timesofindia.indiatimes.com
The attitude of the West towards Narendra Modi reflects a deep political dilemma. Used to dealing with pliable dictators in the Middle-East and weak, corrupt governments in the Indian subcontinent, the West for the first time faces the prospect of a democratically elected leader – Modi – who is neither pliable nor corrupt.

Western media often hews slavishly (but with dexterous sophistry) to official Western foreign policy. That policy is often self-interested, disruptive and intrusive. It has propped up brutal Arab dictators, bankrolled a terrorist state like Pakistan and destablised countries ranging from Syria to Ukraine.

The US and its allies in Europe were delighted to work for ten years with a government like the United Progressive Alliance (UPA). A prime minister without real power like Manmohan Singh and a de facto leader like Sonia Gandhi with limited accountability but absolute power created a fertile geopolitical arena for Washington.

The liberal power elite in Delhi was similarly co-opted. The Americans know how easily journalists, academics, think-tankers and NGOs fall for sponsored foreign seminars, gifts, donations and other rewards.

In return the Indian liberal, intellectual elite – much of it neither really liberal nor really intellectual – was compromised.

Modi provokes a hostile reaction in both these constituencies – Western governments and media on the one hand and their co-opted Indian quasi-elite on the other.

The vitriolic, at times vicious, attacks on Modi in the Western media are a product of the real fear that a Modi government will upend the fraudulent elite power structure in Delhi with geopolitical consequences well beyond India’s borders.

Modi will be tough on Pakistan, pragmatic with China and cooperative with Japan. He will deal with the West on India’s – not the West’s – terms.

A anecdote from a family member
A "vy es aar cee p" spokesman had come down to my friend's house a couple of days ago. He proposed a deal to my friend's father(A): "Each vote from your family is equivalent to 20k. On top of that, we would give you 56 lakh if you guys convert to our religion."

Mr. A bluntly rejected and bashed the guy telling him not to appear in their vicinity.
