Also, what happened in Rajasthan in 6 months period ?
CM selection not well received, Seat selection even less well received, Rajputs angry about a few things...
Vasundhara Raje probably holding back her supporters from campaigning for BJP
Honestly Raj assembly win was more of a surprise than today's results, Gehlot has built up a good base then and BJP lacks any dynamic face to build itself with

Imagine a tight finish
268 NDA
249 INDI
It will be a repeat India Shining and all that achieved in 10yrs will be washed away in a jiffy
Bombs will start going off and Salami slicing will start
That's truly worrying.

I had said on this forum a few days ago, NDA is in trouble in Maharashtra. This same trouble will also continue for Maharashtra state elections and Mumbai municipal elections. These huge cash cows will go to INDIA and boost their coffers for upcoming elections.
The trouble is the 4D chess master stroke of breaking SS and NCP parties and picking up whoever wanted to become a turncoat. This has severely demoralised the hardcore BJP cadre who worked tirelessly for decades, and the Marathi middle class who does not want many of the turncoats to be part of BJP. Meanwhile the peaceful crowd has completely consolidated behind INDIA.

I am giving up on TN for the next 15 years.
Can't understand the clean sweep of the Dravida MK party in TN - bloody shameful for Hindus to support a party opposed to Sanatan Dharma.

At around 11AM
* BJP leading in 236 (not 272 on its own)
* Congress leading in 99 seats.
* NDA at 290
* INDIA at 232
Will TDP & JDU have enhanced bargaining power if trends hold?

Let's not conflate Dharma with modi.
NaMo is the best bet we have currently to protect dharma in the (geo)political sphere. What is there to conflate or confuse?
Namo? I think not. Gadkari would be better.

ECI reporting leads on all 543 seats now.
https://results.eci.gov.in/PcResultGenJ ... /index.htm
BJP at 238.Congress close to 100, SP 35 and TMC 29 DMK 21
Cong allies have done pretty well and the death of regional parties expected post exit poll seems to be nowhere
It seems we are back to the 90s and 00s days of kingmaker parties and holding parliament hostage for cabinet posts

Actually it is KA BJP, Bihar and AP which is helping BJP survive this time. This would be a compromise government, which may not even last the full 5 terms.

The only thing still giving some hope is that the vote share for BJP is still around 39.4% and higher than last time so one would assume that as more votes come in some of the close races start turning to BJP
However that doesn't necessarily translate to seats especially if opposition is able to thread the needle in key UP/MH seats
SP in particular has lots of leads in the 2k-15k margin

Yes that was very dumb. When we have real enemies of dharma and bharat civilization I cannot understand why BJP had to artificially create more. Next couple of decades were to consolidate what you have and build on it further keeping North India in your grip and extend into southern states.
Maharastra and UP will cost very much this time. There is a simple principle you don't experiment with or try to fix what is already working for you.
I think in UP people didn't come out to vote enmass out of laziness or thinking that BJP will win

Modi should have guessed that people want freebies. The women voters voted more than men and looks like intention was only the 8500 per month. May be reduce the PLI kitty and distribute 4000 per month to the ladies. They did not learn anything from Karnataka and Telangana elections. people need free money. We should distribute it till the country fails.

BIF's/Locals/Jihadi all combine to move him out
I worry about the consensus candidate
Turd kept repeating this again and again during the Exit poll results
Gadkari as a consensus candidate
Is this the ultimate goal ??
Closer to Nagpur/ amicable relationships will all and sundry
Weaker at National and International level
Regional Satraps ruling the roost??

Is there a hope that the leads of INDI alliance is small and NDA overtake at last phases of counting? I don't remember when the clear trends become apparent in earlier elections. Hopefully the below comment becomes true. People in this forum may know the guy below..
https://x.com/daeroplate_v2/status/1797 ... 8T8yA&s=19
Back in 2014 until atleast mid afternoon was no clear trend in favour of bjp let alone a wave. Things were neck and neck and TV panelists were smug about it. Strong trends emerged later and a landslide only evening.
So whatever happens good or bad - no need to panic AM tmrw

NDA has been hoveeing around 290 for the past hour or so, INDI at 225-230
Need at least a 30 seat swing in those numbers for BJP to really be able to stay in control and continue current progress
Any less and they are dependent on both Nitish and CB to stick around which will be next to impossible

I agreed if he hadn't asked for 400 paar he might have gotten it as well for NDA.
And second thing if he had kept bharatiya family united in Maharastra.
I don't have any explanation for UP though.

I think India will remain strong at national and international level. One thing modi did good was to develop able stalwarts who can hold their own. I don't think India will list that edge now. Those days are gone. Multipolar it will remain.

BJP netas put very little effort on the ground for Lok Sabha elections. Here in Uttarakhand, although all seats are going to BJP, there was zero election campaigning, at least in Haridwar and Dehradun. BJP netas think they will win simply due to Modi name. And whatever election funds they collect through customary extortion (which any party does), is simply used to fill their own pockets instead of spending it on campaigning.
Contrast this with Vidhan Sabha elections, where candidates put in a lot of fight and it really felt like election season with heavy campaigning.
