lot of places - qalamoun mountains, maher and shaer gas fields in east homs, sukanah-arak near palmyra, east bank of euphrates in deir azzor and the hills overlooking the airport, tabqah airbase ... using that FOAB has been a persistent demand here. no civilians really around in these places...no tourists either.

problem is the rats are spread very thin at the above in penny packets and perhaps concentrated in large numbers only in raqqa, mosul, al bab and deir azzor mixed in with captive civilians.

so a cheap 250kg OFAB works just as well, rather than a special mission needing a Tu160 from Engels in southern russia.

yes Isis can be lured out into the open and Russia has a complete suite of weapons to deal with it.

the problem being is what will it take to lure them into the open? and they always seem to have women and children with when lured into the open.

A group of British 'activists' blockaded the Russian Embassy with hundreds of fake limbs yesterday, to protest against the Russia’s bombing of Syria. According to a spokesperson for the group, the protest was an attempt to “disrupt” the country’s plans to “unleash further hell on the people of Aleppo.”

The limbs were reportedly a representation of Syrians who had suffered injuries and lost loved ones due to the highly controversial Russian airstrikes. “275,000 people are trapped in besieged east Aleppo today and like so many other Syrian towns, they are being slowly starved and bombed into submission,” Nolan continued. “Russia has used illegal weapons on civilians, including incendiary bombs and cluster bombs. They just don't have the manpower. The last year has seen the SAA, Hezbollah & Iranians fighting a truly epic struggle against overwhelming odds, staying on the offensive despite always being heavily outnumbered and despite constant heavy losses. I'm amazed at how well they've held it together all this time. Their best units must be incredibly exhausted and yet they keep fighting this limitless horde of jihadists pouring in from Turkey, Jordan and Sunni Iraq. It's a story of incredible heroism but we may be expecting too much of them at this point.

The granig tubes are icbm size like 2m dia. i m hoping the ripped out the internals in refitting the kuzzy for hybrid war and put in the sub caliber tubes of yasen ssn which reportedly pack some 48 .....

Right now there are no Kalbir on Oscar or Akula SSN only after upgrade they will get those. I think only the Kilo SSK carry Kalbir plus couple of ships.

A friend of mine told me that in the exercise "Granite" flying through "the cloud" missiles naval units AK-630, a few dozen hits on a rocket, but it exactly hit the target ( platform with corner reflectors). Ship systems melee it never caught. At the end of the flight at "Granite" blocked rudders and control it like a cannonball flies to the goal ... It can stay on course, but almost impossible to destroy.

Yes if you read the article I posted when the missile was intercepted by 2 AAM at less than 40 km ( it was detected at 80 km ) even after the hit from missile it continued flying in a straight direction for quite some time.
