The Cricket World Cup Thread
Re: The Cricket Thread
calm heads, focus and good pacing is the key. the aussies will aim to hit hard in initial 15 overs and shake up things.

Re: The Cricket Thread
Tait is in Chucktar's league he bowls wide out side the offstump a lot; Sehwag will have to have a really bad day to miss out on a quick 50. There should be no reason for so much negativity it's fckn 260 onlee shouldn't be an issue for our batting . The worst is past us !

Re: The Cricket Thread
It's ok, fck the pitch is horrible. We need to cross 100 between 15-20 overs mark without any loss of wickets. SwamyG help!
Re: The Cricket Thread
when given chances, we can get some 50 odd runs from openers each.. fair start.
got to appreciated the delivery too from lee. with the killing instinct in his face

Re: The Cricket Thread

Re: The Cricket Thread
Let me first recover from the shivering due to the close save...... We will know by 15 overs if we are going to win or not.negi wrote:It's ok, fck the pitch is horrible. We need to cross 100 between 15-20 overs mark without any loss of wickets. SwamyG help!
Re: Magazine and Media Watch/Review
The sensible way to do it by mini targets, first reduce the runs to get to < 200, then 150, and so on...

Rahul & Archan: Delete this thread after India wins the WC. Too many posts from my keyboard. At this rate, I will become a senior citizen, not even an oldie.

Re: The Cricket Thread
remember the Alamo! remember the day when SRT and RD so messed up Taity's head he went on a extended break from the game.
this was after he boasted of 'looking forward to knocking them over in WACA' .. the raptor whose engine failed to start on the takeoff runway.

Re: The Cricket Thread
damn, these australians can field pretty well!
Re: The Cricket Thread
No CT. I see no possible reason for them to be picked. Nehra I would give the benefit of doubt before the SA match, but persisting with Munaf and Chawla? Munaf is supposed to be a mainline bowler but he could not bowl his full quota today! Shreesanth could not have possibly been worse.Rahul M wrote:why on earth do you think those are his friends ?merlin wrote:India is going to rue Dhoni's faith in people like Nehra, Munaf, Piyush Chawla who cannot deliver. throwing CT's at the drop of a hat has to stop.
sehwag NEVER plays well in chases.

this stop and go action of Johnbeta is getting irritating

Re: The Cricket Thread
Seriously the pitch is fckd up; the ball is not coming on to the bat.
Re: The Cricket Thread
so you are privy every little thing that goes on in the Indian dressing room ? it was reported that sree refuses to bowl according to team plan, a captain is within his rights to pick a less talented bowler he can trust isn't he ?No CT. I see no possible reason for them to be picked. Nehra I would give the benefit of doubt before the SA match, but persisting with Munaf and Chawla? Munaf is supposed to be a mainline bowler but he could not bowl his full quota today! Shreesanth could not have possibly been worse.
heck, forget that, one bowler goes at 10.6 RPO off 5 overs against BD (a batting line up that gets bundled for 58 and 78 in the same ground) and another gives away runs at 6.5 RPO off 7 against world champions australia. on numbers alone who is the better bowler ?
frankly, we are not aware of 1% of the reasons and factors team management takes into consideration. and when it comes to sree V munaf or nehra there's not much to choose. we can disagree with their choice but let's stop inventing strange theories.
as for chawla, I think MSD has made it clear that he was trying out chawla to build bench strength and uswin was always going to get a match and he did.
